The Drink.. Ouzo...
The enchanted broomstick replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Chit Chat
Ha ha, Wikipedia has some interesting facts about Absinthe Clickity Something like this is what was seen, i cant explain it really, such a vivid amount of colours just merging together, totally lost control of speech and movement and everything. I was expecting to be pissed to the point where i would be sick like vodka does but this stuff is just evil. I wasnt sick not even once but just lost control of everything and the hallucinations where really..... funny! -
Have a RAVE in you garden. If you need a rig me and my mates have a nice big one which we will happily bring and set up. Party time hardcore stylee.

The Drink.. Ouzo...
The enchanted broomstick replied to downhill_rob2@hotmail.com's topic in Chit Chat
GREEN ABSYINTHE!!!! I have never in my life halucinated off of alcohol. Ok so a rather stupid amount was consumed. Probably about 15 shots worth - drinking games can get out of hand with all you mates sometimes. Well it burns like an absolute mutha as it goes down and pretty much sets you chest on fire for 5 minutes or so but if you ever want to hallucinate and go absolutely crazy neck a load of Absyinthe i really cannot explain how twisted that stuff gets you! Go on have a go...... -
AHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Dynamite! Now that one is proper funny, and this was at the age of 16? Just wondering how you never knew what they were before That Aliens one is proper funny as well. I used to believe that cats could stick to anything they wanted, i mean when you see a cat run up a straight wall or a fence it makes you think they have some sort of super natural ability, It turns out that cat's CANNOT walk on the ceiling upside down stu

avoid the silly WD40 comment, this is absolutely not clever in the slightest for an area where you are planning on keeping grease! By that i mean WD40 will eat the grease for breakfast, yes it will feel nice to start with but that will soon be replaced by uber crunchyness! AVOID! stu

Well i have managed to categorise the bike frames it's not as hard with them because you can relatively go by price, i got 88 "commonly-known" bike frame manufacturers! Now gotta do it with the parts, this is the most awkward part. I got some quotes online but they just ask how much is your bike worth and ask for a postcode, you give them that information and they give you a quote. I really do think most of this comes down to personal preference though. hmmm let's see how that goes......... Cheers so far people, stu

f**k off, im asking for help, not to do it for me!! What's your damn problem you ignorant b*****d!
-
All, but only the commonly used ones, things like Echo, Koxx, Bianchi, Ridgeback, Campagnolo, Specialized being the higher end of the scale, Carrera, Apollo, Trek, Mission - being the lower end.

This is for building a database for an insurance company. For the bikes as complete i have negotiated with them that it's basically the more you pay the better the bike is. So most expensive is going to be top end and cheapest bottom end that part i have worked out so i think i can do that. What im left stuck with is the components that go on the bikes. They want reasons like why Raceface would be better than Middleburn, that's if that is true. Personally i prefer middleburn because i use them and they have never broken ever. Many of you on here may have the exact same experience with Raceface cranks, or even Truvativ ones - so which one is better? I dont know how to tell. If you have the time to populate a list that would be great and really appreciated. cheers, stu

Right i have a hell of a stupid task ahead of me and i really could do with the help of all you professionals. I have a fair idea of most bike brands, but it's as follows. I need to list every bike brand in a category of A, B, C or D. A would be the unbranded and crappy items that would all break super easy and maybe the cheapest of bike manufacturers. B would be the bottom end but more commonly known and used, like apollo etc. C being better manufacturers like carrera etc. leaving D for the Grand-Daddy of manufacturers. This is such a damn hard task because as you could understand people like Shimano make uber crap cranks but then going up to the XTR range of cranks they get good. FSA make the powerpoo cranks and other crap models but then they also go right up to the Road Racing carbon fiber models how the hell can i list them in order? I have found a super huge list of bike manufacturers and have been told that i dont need to deal with all them. Which is good because i couldnt see how i would be able to categorise bike brands that i have never heard of before! I have to do the same thing with components as the actual bike manufacturers but not why each part is better than another, why the particular brand is better than another. Surely it all comes down to personal preference though? Any help would be soooo greatly appreciated, stu

WOHAY!!!! People that have exactly the same opinion on this topic as myself! God damn it's so annoying trying to decrypt what people are writing, it really is like some new language evolved from lazy people. I never use it any form, surely we (speaking from England) invented the English language, shouldn't we therefore actually use it properly? Fair enough spelling mistakes occur but this "text talk" has gone a little too far, f**king lazy bastards write properly!!! stu

WS_FTP95 << The daddy in my opinion, i've never used anything else but this. Really is damn simple to use, just find your files in the left hand column, drag and drop into the right hand column and uploading will commence, so damn simple, and as requested it's free. And it's only 690kb for the program. stu

It is a possibility that you could be embarrassed of being out with your girlfriend? Although you may not see any reason for that it could well be possible, for whatever reason i wouldnt know. It may be a good idea to plan a similar situation out again and take it step by step and see when this feeling starts occuring then you can trace back to what made it build up and hopefully nail the problem. Try writing a mini log book of the events on the build up, during and after? Analyse, replay it through your head and find out what's going on. stu

Password Protected Files There's hundreds of programs out there that do the job, im guessing you havent taken the time to look for any? I've had my computer running with 3 users then 2 and now 1 and each time it's gotten faster by a considerable amount so i would disagree with the other comments and it's not like my PC is the uber crappest of specs. Website Template Ideas - Opinions?
The enchanted broomstick replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Website Updates
Personally i think it looks nice already, i'm picky with backgrounds like you wouldnt believe and that one i like, get some more done on the site and try and keep the white text and borders going on they stand out. Would be nice to see if you can finish it as well as you've started. stu -
no offence but that website is pretty awful and the advertisements all over the page really dont give a very professional look, consindering you have a ".co.uk" domain im guessing you dont HAVE to have them advertisements on there? OSWD This is the Open Source Web Development website. Have a good old look, people are spending their time to make professional high quality templates and let people download them from free! Take a look for inspiration and ideas or maybe download a design? Stu

Location Of "my Music" Folder
The enchanted broomstick replied to The enchanted broomstick's topic in Chit Chat
Is that the Lee with the 106 quicksilver ? If not don't worry im just curious. Hobnobs, Yeah the shortcut to the desktop option is the easiest way but right clicking the link of "my music" gives me no option to change the target. Im running windows XP and it gives me the options of "general" or "sharing" which dont help. Might not be worth doing if i need to install some extra software for it. cheers, stu -
Basically my old hard drive burnt out and i lost all my files including the old East Coast Trials videos. If anybody has any of them it would be greatly appreciated (I do have the 19 minute one) if they could be sent to me as i really would like to keep some of the old memories of riding. Thanks guys, Stu

Now if you go to "My Music" the location is "C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Music" Is it possible to change the location of this folder so it points to my external hard drive? It would save me having to go to my computer then Local Disk F: etc. If someone has the answer reet bonus. Cheers, Stu

Dilema - To Tell Insurance Company Or Not :-s
The enchanted broomstick replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Chit Chat
The only advice i can give here is dont let them for christ sake go to an original dealers of the car eg: if its a honda dont let them take it to a honda garage. My mates stupid bint of a neighbour managed to reverse all the way out of her drive way across both sides of the road and into my mates drive way where my car was and bang into the door. Had a lovely dent there for a while. Anyways renault garage said need a new door and the speaker inside it and everything else although my speaker is damn fine all quoting up to £972.00!! However if you find a local body panel specialist like i did they can reduce the costs, instead of a new door they pulled it out resprayed and everything, looking better than before and cost £470 which the girl paid cash for. NO ORIGINAL DEALER - they are rip off bastards! stu -

SNOOPER If you clickity the link i hope you can find that they actually do pick up mobile cameras, whether that be the mobile lasers like handheld guns and the ones they use in vans that they park up or the mini gatso which is a mobile radar camera. The reason i suggest this device of all is because it pretty much only gets these sort of cameras, the fixed cameras (mainly digital) it wont pick up but you generally know where most of these are on your daily routes so just be sensible in them areas. Am i right? Stu

buy a SNOOPER S5R, next time the piggies are within site, you get warned! simplest answer really. Yes they may be a little expensive but your license is worth preserving and they pick up everything, when you drive past shops with automatic doors this device can even pick them up! Better to be safe then sorry? stu
