i'm not so sure... this picture: shows a thumbnail shaped darker area like you said (maybe fatigue...maybe just grease?)...but there's no way that it's a ductile failure in my mind..

could be...very hard to tell from the pictures, but considering the time you've had it and how it's broken, it probably was just a brittle fracture- possibly a batch weren't heat treated properly... to be honest...i'm not sure how much effort onza put into investigating this sort of thing, but if it's happened to others (as the above suggests) they may consider replacing it. They did not like the idea of me looking at my broken cranks under an SEM...wonder what they were afraid of...? adam

Must say captain Skoze, great post!? As i hope you're aware, you've been validated now! Frames...get whatever you can afford- truth is, whatever you get you will get used to. It's just an excuse blaming your frame! Rims...i have no idea...they're all essentially the same Bars...get riser bars...monty ti bars, try all rage or trialtech...all awesome Onza really are a great company..they've brought out a few really great frames over the years for comparatively reasonable prices and i have no doubt that the onza's will perform just fine adam

i know it sounds weird...but it's probably someone you met riding... that's what happened to my mate a few years ago...we met this new rider in town and then a couple of weeks later he had all his bikes stolen. Turned out it was someone this bloke was mates with... go on the rampage?
