  1. That's okay. If you have any other problems talk to Adam Read on here, he knows quite a lot about King hubs. (Y) His names are Tartridge and Adam@Tarty Bikes on here.

The photos are good and everything but you could have at least done something original. (Y)
  3. I was surprides when I went on Marks bike, I was expecting neck braking erm.... braking. B) But it wasn't any more powerful than my Juicy. Anyway Mark, I would get some EBC Reds and a Hope Gothic rotor. Sexy. :-
  4. Yep. It does work. Oh, I forgot, you have to undo the TPA all the way as well. :D
  5. Yeah, I guess so. I might try some new pads and see if that sorts it.
  6. I thought £100 was loads for my birthday. :D £750, blimey! :P :D
  7. When I got the new rotor I got some Hope bolts with it so I'm using those. :D
  8. Just finished the topic. :D Here.
  9. Hey guys. I've had my Juicy 7 on the front of my mod for a while now so I thought I'd do a review. :D I got this brake from CRC, it was in the sale for £109 which I thought was a good price. :P Anywayyyyyyyyy.... As soon as I got this brake I fitted it and went out in my street for a little play. I was amazed at how much power it had straight out of the box. It didn't need bedding in or anything. The only thing I didn't like at first was that the lever came all the way into the bar, but I played with the TPA a little bit and it was fine. It also has a Tri-Align caliper which means that you don't have to piss about with putting washers on to space out the caliper so it doesn't rub, which is nice. :D Before the Juicy I used a Hope Mono Mini and couldn't stand it so I got rid of it with in about a week because it had no hold at all. When I put the Juicy on it felt a whole lot better because it had nice hold, nice modulation and also a nice lever feel. I've used a few Hope Mono Trial brakes on peoples bikes and I can honestly say that my Avid is more powerful than all of the Hopes I've tried and no, it's not just because I have an Avid! :P Good things about the brake.... It can be used as a front brake or a back brake. The TPA can be taken out and screwed in on the other side if it's being used as a rear brake. The pad biting point can be changed with the TPA. The TPA looks uber strong because it's not like the Magura one, (Just a tiny threaded bit) it's a huge thread so it wont snap very easily. The lever feels great. It's VERY easy to set up and get working properly. Is fairly cheap compaired to other disc brakes out there. Locks nicely. Has nice modulation. Bad things about the brake... The rotor bolts on with Torx bolts so you have to carry around a Torx tool just incase the rotor bolts come lose. The brake overheats quite easily. (I'm not sure if that's because I have a Hope rotor on there?) I guess that's it. Go out and buy one of these brakes! :D
  10. 11 hours to go. Oh yeah. :D
