Inspired Skye, No More 4Bolt Mounts.
the mysterious leemur replied to AkuskaUK's topic in Trials Chat
More prone to damage , less suitable for right footed riders , easily contaminated ,spoke flex , don't hold as well on square edges , heavier so not quite better in every way and incase you haven't noticed they don't tend to work very well on the rear of 24/26" bikes in a tgs setup. It's not better in every way , it's better in some aspects , hs33/ v's are better at others. It's all personal opinion. -
Re-Used. What Pads Are The Best For Hope Mono
the mysterious leemur replied to D Rock 45's topic in Trials Chat
are you using the Echo rotors ? I've found they took much longer to bed in than a Hope rotor -
Re-Used. What Pads Are The Best For Hope Mono
the mysterious leemur replied to D Rock 45's topic in Trials Chat
The TR is an okay brake but I've found they can be very hit or miss , I've had one that worked great ,and I'm still running it on my mod , but I've also had 2 that burst and leked all the time and had very bad performance too , I'd stick with the hope or just get a tech lever? -
Would like it more in a stealth black colour and not a fan of that mod geometry , way to short for my liking will be sticking with my 2011 as long as I can (A)

How-To Section?
the mysterious leemur replied to hypermobilty's topic in Trials-Forum News, Updates & Suggestions
I think there is some flaws on that in that you can't review a product unless you bought the product on it's own and not in a complete build. Was just an idea I've found useful on some forums -
How-To Section?
the mysterious leemur replied to hypermobilty's topic in Trials-Forum News, Updates & Suggestions
This seems to most suitable place to ask , would it be possible to have a review section to go with the pad reviews , I'm sure a lot of guys would find it helpful. -
Removing Anodising* Using Caustic Soda...
the mysterious leemur replied to TheLeroyHUK's topic in Trials Chat
Wet 'n dry paper or low grit sand paper is what I use -
I'd remove the current paint first if it's painted use nitomors or anodized use caustic soda(sodium hydroxide , aka oven cleaner) and then but down a base or primer and paint over that. If given the option I'd prefer to have it anodized again though , lighter and in my experience harder wearing.

Check out your forks and hub , mine where and I found out my forks were cracked and my hub was still making the noise and I'm pretty sure it's cracked but I can't find it ,one tryall later and it's fixed.
-
Well considering as there is a hell of a lot of threads already on this topic and he made a joke to another user's post so really anything to get worked up over. Me on the other hand..
-
I personally prefer to use a sodium hydroxide and urine solution

"Amatuers train until they get it right , professionals train until they can't get it wrong" Labels my view towards this question although not professionals you get what I mean.

More than just a bikes
-
Yeah! I get that too! On my bike whenever the chain is moving and I'm not pedaling I keep hearing this clicking from the freewheel area so I always have to cycle all the time:/ But the seaguls ice cream told me that the ball bearing tomato was the fault:///

Warning To Newbs Like Me - Disc Brakes Eat Fingertips
the mysterious leemur replied to Pazu's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I know the feeling , a while ago I was showing a mate how my disk rotor had gotten lose by trying to wiggle it but I forgot I had the bike off the ground and got my finger pushed against the caliper and since it hit at an angle I have a unnaturally slightly flat little finger... :$ -

Trialtech Foams Or Try-All Bar Tape
the mysterious leemur replied to kurtis G's topic in Trials Chat
Wee tip for trialtechs, try heating them up before a ride , so much comfier and seem to be better on your hands too. -
Trialtech Foams Or Try-All Bar Tape
the mysterious leemur replied to kurtis G's topic in Trials Chat
They rip your hands up pretty bad man , the trialtech foams are much better ,if you're dead set on tape get some tennis grip tape which is cheaper and imo better too. -
I was under the impression that Tees Barrage was the mate her was riding with , also what's the barrage part ? Oh well this is embarrasing :$
-
You probably would have received a better response for this thread rather than one that suggests something to do with a barrage of t-shirts....

I meant what is the connection between boosters and crushed rims?
-
I fail to see a connection?... Frame design has come along a lot , most good frames are fine to run without booster now or come with one build in. By "bad accidents " you mean?
-
Yeah , I've used other peoples which have been amazing but mine after a while became awful on the back , not tried it up front yet though .
-
You either need better pads , better rim or a grind for the v or HS33 or you are the most powerful rider ever to grace the earth. Disks in my opinion are not nearly as powerful and only useable on 20" bikes atleast without a massive ass rotor.
