  1. He makes it acceptable by not riding a genesis...
  2. All to do with the direction of momentum, If you're just landing on it you'll find your momentum will be sideways, wanting to throw you over, Whereas if you can land "on" it your momentum will be less sideways. More tuck and power into the preload and you'll land "on" it..
  3. Awesome! I'll be looking forward to see a full edit
  4. I have a shed with about a meter squared of space you can live in
  5. I've always just used it, dragged my brake slightly... Always worked in minutes for me
  6. I was waiting for this comment...
  7. I can move mine with my hands.. but they never shift when I ride.. TAR
  8. Custom brakelss frame... You can't use that as an example -.- The only reason it's common is koxx make comp bikes with high BBs so everyone follows.. Knowing people will buy given its similar to the high end..
  9. Because its too unusual to actually get the right feel, Short frames with high BBs are designed for competition riding, where when on the rear wheel it feels more comfortable, also, technical lines where you find yourself upright on the bike allow you so stand straight on the bike instead of hanging off the back.. However, higher BB bikes throw your centre of balance higher, making it more difficult to stay balanced on two wheels, and given two wheel moves are what beginners feel more comfortable and allow them to progress to a higher level quickly, where they can then feel the benefit from moving to a different bike... My current bike has a +40 BB (stock) And is the highest BB I've ever had, I don't find myself in many positions where I'll need to be very upright on the bike so I don't need it.. High BB doesn't always mean its good, the only reason the high end bikes have high BBs is because they're competition bikes..
  10. It was more a rhetorical question
  11. This isn't essential for a begginer.. And also, Coming from a BMX background I assume you'll still keep a similar style? Shorter frame for their "flickier" nature
  12. Right.. Don't bother using any liquid to get the grip on, try get them on dry. Use the cable tie method to get them on, if they still slip, try tar up the bar and cable tie method again, heat it with your hand and they shouldn't budge.
