i tightened it up with a chain whip with it in the right place, but when it got to hopping it seems to have tightened another 1/3 of a turn i never had this issue with my tt's running the same fw and bash

right so i had my first wee ride on the 24 today, and in the process of doing so all the bits are tightening up properly. well this happened and i'm buggered if i can think of a way to sort this, as my halfring is now more of a sixth ring its as though the bash has gripped the fw lockring rather than the cranks when tightening fully. eitherway can i sort this without taking fw off? ie can i bash it back round with a good old hammer?

so i'm looking into some new bars, i'm happy with the geo of the rockbars i have, just not the bends in them and they are a tad narrow (one of the bends is where the brake lever clamps onto the bar) i'd rather have some carbons but my budget doesn't strech that far so anyhoo, anyone run these? are they any good or are they gash? also any one know what graphics they come with? the bars on tarty have different ones to the the bars on the sky 2 full build (2012 bars) also on tarty. the ones with the same/simlarish graphics as the carbons look way better.

i asked tarty this very question, the only difference is where the lever pivot bolt is placed. although it looks pretty much the same as the rim version. edit - Hi Chris - The lever pivot on the two levers differs in position slightly, to give the disc lever a little more power with less pad travel. The rim brake lever should still work to an extent with their disc brakes, although it would be down on power. Thanks, Mark

think the xt bore is slightly narrower, but the xt lever is an open system the tr is closed.

ben at trials addict, these where the last ones apparently. they were red too, rawed right our the box. it works fantastic mate, i ran an old julie on an 04 maggie lever a while back wasn;t as good as the xt/tr setup its a win win situation for everyone

to be fair thats the only evidence i could find of a tt fork fail, but there's loads of urban snappage. and the tt is a tad longer to the cr than the urbans too?

fixed na 3 cross mate, looks odd with the flanges being small i think. spoke length i used was for a 3x pattern and they're not too long

defo bars need to go, cranks are a tad heavy so they'll have to be upgraded too. front disc is sick to say its on fresh pads, i'm not sold on the rear slaves may switch to some maggies. cheers dude the lever i got from you and an xt 4pot, kick ass setup for sure.
