Yes. I got it from Universal Cycles. It was a bit more difficult to find than most tires, but I found a couple places, including an ebay reseller. Should have a bike going by the end of the month at latest.

For the love, don't judge us all by Andy. (or Trump) (or Hollywood) (or Mcdonalds). Rafa is one of my favorite of the current elite riders, Some of the things in the video where fairly impressive. Editing and music were a bit much. But just cause he's elite doesn't mean he a) Edits videos all the time or b) knows or can afford someone who does know what they're doing. Granted, parts of current elite riding do look a bit awkward. However trials has always been the 10% who don't look awkward and the 90% who do. I really think some of the elite riders are struggling to adequately capture their talent on video in a clean, viewable manner that doesn't seem tacky or over the top. Hook was crazy.

A few years ago I tracked down my first three trials bikes. Not just the same model, but actually the exact frames. My Monty X-Alp and Brisa B26 were complete just as I sold them, and Planet X Zebdi came back to me frame and fork. It was pretty fun to have them again, but the nostalgia was more exciting than actually riding them. The only bike I regret selling is the Norco Manifesto I owned a few years back. It had belonged to Ryan Leech, had his signature on it, and a couple prototype parts. The owner between Ryan and I had changed a few things, so I made a few changes. Front wheel was a bit of a throw-together. For the life of me I couldn't sidehop or gap it 50% of what I do on my current pogo, but I just didn't care, for two wheels moves and higher speed MTB/trials it was a dream. Something about it just felt amazing. There are a few lines I did on it, I've never been able to do on any other bike. It made my respect for R. Leech grow about 10000% percent. He was doing lines 15 years ago most of us still can't do, and does something like a 44" sidehop over a bar in shows. Sidehopping this thing was like trying to sidehop a bus.

yeah. Use a scale before you show up to the airport.

Check your airline's rules and fees. Each one is different, especially on cost. Some of them rob you.

I rode the fat Albert a few years back, last time I tried 24". It had a nice feel, but was really lacking in pinch protection compared to the maxxis or some 26" options.. I think a smoother / lighter rider could enjoy it. Not as bad as some of the new lightweight 26" trials tires.

I will be building up a 24 inch pure bike, and begin the process of finding a tire. The old maxxis is getting hard to find and then someone on the USA forum pointed this out: Maxxis Minion DHF 3C 24" Tire. Apparently it is maxxis answer to the growing youth dh scene and just a miniature minion DHF. It is currently in production and could be an answer to the woe of 24" pure bikes. But.... Has anyone tried one?

It seems back in the day demos had a greater influence, a few of the Canadian guys I have talked to started riding after seeing Ryan Leech. I've helped a few kids who have seen my shows find a used rig, but just a few. Demos as business is completely different than most people can imagine. If you don't enjoy the business / entrepreneural side of things it could kill your love of riding quick.

Anything has to be better than the Racing Lines, they develop a ridiculous amount of play.

Please let us know how it goes! I am building a 24" pure shortly and was thinking of giving this a go, but was worried about how it would work with the Trialtech rims.

The reason I have started watching vlogs, good vlogs capture biking lifestyle. In my mind they are a completely different genre of video.

The breath with bars rolled back is by no means streety, but really feels more versatile.

Not quite. And the crewkerz has that super long headtube. Besides hyperbolically speaking I could buy a million Marino's before I could afford a Crewkerz. Even when I was a dealer I couldn't afford a cleep. Lol, would still love one. If it wasn't for having to buy all the parts as well, and I could just get a frame, that used one you have would have a home.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of having a custom Marino made up and wanted to get some input on my ideas for geo. Understandably this is like asking all of you which brake pad or tire is best, but a few people on here have a better understanding of geo than I do and opinions worth reading. Lately I've been riding my Breath Yes 26". I measured it at 1081 +80 320 72 and 660 reach, which is spot on for advertised + a bit of chain stretch. It's quite refreshing compared to my hiatus on the long GU, with the bars rolled back I can bunnyhop it confidently (whereas any other pure bike feel really sketch), and manuals aliright. Some of the spins and more streety moves feel fairly decent, compared to normal pure bikes. I have an Element 26" dual disc, and enjoy it for mucking about, but really am more of a pure trials rider at heart. My thought is to take the Breath idea and steepen up the head tube angle, increase the reach a tad and lower the bb a smidge. Should still be fairly "pure" feeling for everything but hooks (which I don't really do). Here's what I'm looking at now. 1068, +65, 380, 73 and 670 reach. (quick trig says changing headtube angle to 73 decreases wheelbase by about 8mm and reducing bb height by 15 increases reach by 10mm). My thought is it would be comfy with a 130mm stem. I think it would about as nice for streety type stuff as a "pure" can get, would suck for hooks and taps, be decent at gaps and front wheel moves (albeit a bit more cramped than modern pure). All in all the changes aren't too drastic, so it shouldn't be horrible. But any thoughts? Any considerations I should take? I need to get a new frame anyway, so a custom Marino is just a few more bucks and a longer wait + I can get a few other features I've been wanting (vert dropouts, triple triangle).

Doesn't seem to make any sense. Although, they could just be trying to keep MTB's and trials riders out. We tend to go against the normal flow.

Nice! I've been looking for a place I can take my kids and my trials bike. We just moved, but all the places I used to ride were either big rocks and a big drop into the ocean, or urban in not so nice neighborhoods. #familyfirst

Can you PM me some more info? I am curious about the project. I went to Uganda in 2006. Spent a week in Kampala before moving around the rest of the country. Still keep in touch with a friend in Gulu

It's been online for 3 days. He posted in on OTN first. Might've seen it on facebook. Great riding! Fun to watch.

Needs proper horizontal dropouts, but nice otherwise!

WTF! Seriously. What!?#

Yeah. Both sides of the lever blade.

The design creates a stress riser, and they tend to crack. Removing material removes the stress riser and makes them stronger. Your circled area is close, but not quite. Here's a slightly better picture found through the old Google search. You want to remove that extra little corner. You shouldn't be removing anything near the pivot bolt, which would reduce strength.

Lol. I bought myself an Element 26" dual hopes. Pick it up next week. My wife doesn't know yet...
