    I use the Plaz spanish flys, simply because deep down I am a trials rider and I need a good brake. The odessy 1x4's or 2x4's are good enough on a chrome rim and well set up.

    Kool stops will be fine on a grind, certainly alot better than on a smooth rim. Change the pads and there will be a significant improovement.

    Echo rims only come in 32h, so make sure you get hold of a 32 h profile hub. Which you could find difficult, but they do exist.
