Ive had mine for about 1 month now and they are all fine. A friend of mine ran some for about a year until they snapped. I just keep taking mine out and giving them a quick check every now and then.
Yer, thats sort of what I meant. Anyhow, ive taken the grease out of mine a put some chain lube in there. I am yet to put the wheel in a bike however...
Sorry, what I mean is they didnt continue to produce them because they failed the saftey standards test/tests. So anywhere selling them is breaking the law technically.
I am pretty sure the Ashton forks are pretty much identical to fattys but with the adjustable brake positioning. Porters ones looked very very similar to my fatty's.
I can see the appeal of a high BB, more clearence and better two wheel handling on rocks logs etc. But you cannot do big drop gaps with a high BB. It simply does not work.
