If you buy a clifford one, they come out and fit it for you. You want a turbo timer really for performance turbo cars, keeps the turbo running while the oil cools down. Its pretty bad for the turbo is the boiling hot oil cools on the stationary turbo. A friend of mine has one on his skyline, and he gets some dodgy looks when he parks up and walks away with it still ticking over!
