  1. i went for a ride this sunday, kept winding my tpa in cos my brakes were wank... then noticed fluid on my fork leg. TPA went all the way in before brake would work... my mate said it was leaking because the TPA was all the way in and fluid could just go past the piston? im not so sure. anyhow heres a pic.. the fluid is coming from where the tpa meets the piston in the lever. anyone had similar problems? by the way im running magura royal blood bleed, but its an old bleed. i have new fluid on the way. anyone think it could just need a new bleed? oh and also at the moment theres barely any fluid in there.. and when the lever is pulled fast it makes the same rank squelching sound of someone having a wank in the bath.
  2. im with williams. i have maggys front and rear and my 2011's are INSANELY powerful. its deffinatley how people set them up,
  3. the 2011 leaked, however if you managed to get a non-leaky one.. they are very powerful. but i hate the bleed technique. its more complicated than the 05. the tpa is better on the 2011 though
  4. your a tgs whore. and i like it. haha
  5. What?? There are THOUSANDS of strong products. Your not lookin in the right place. Steel frame. Then pretty much anything onza. Its all cast iron pretty much.
  6. thats NICE! shame we need brakes.. bikes look so much better without them.
  7. a 40cm drop... with 50psi? and a pinch flat. you are deffinatley dropping too hard. maybe the higher psi is stretching the tube, making it thinner, and it punctures easier? maybe? dunno..

    Ali's Getaway

not wanting to start a fight, but thats not my cup of tea. there was more artsy-fartsy stuff than actual riding. and the style of the film, like the old and scratchy style as if it were filmes on a really old school camera.. just annoyed me. wasnt very clear and i found myself squinting. plus the music? was pretty bad. thats just my 2 cents.. DISCLAIMER: in no way am I stating i am a better rider/camera man/artistic director than ali c. just didnt like the video.
  10. hahaha oh yeah.. well worth it then. drilling and cutting the hubs and what not only saved like 40g.
  11. yeeeah i know, but ii thought it was gay to write as a thread title.. "rear wheel slightly modified, could do more but CBA" anyway yeah im not expecting a lot out of it. its just an experiment really to make my bike lighter.
  12. i cba to sit and file the holes more, itll only save like 10g and its not worth the effort. i could do more with the hub, which i may well do, but saved like 300g compared to my old wheel. along with 200g saved off the tyre and 150g off the tube. 650g, quite alot
  13. Looks like im taking the booster off then cheers guys.
  14. throw a vid up of you gapping or something will you? im interested in seeing how smooth you are. (no homo)
  15. oh yeah my set up is.. 2011 hs33 cyliders on echo tr lever, TT hose splitter magura rolyal blood bleed echo sl rim, (soon to be an onza thing) real cousts echo tr clamps
  16. not at all. just a standard 2010 onza zoot rear rim. double walled and drilled.
  17. this is going to be a thread with pictures of my actual bike.. eventually.. but for now heres a rear wheel ive modified to hell.. basically i bought the wheel off a guy on ebay.. i then singlewalled it and rawed it and sold/gave the rim to harmertrials harmertrials laced it onto a rawed echo tr hub harmertrials then sold it to clarkehutchinson who drilled the extra holes in it clarkehutchinson then sold it back to me. i filed the holes to look a bit cooler, countersunk the holes and drilled the hub etc. gave her a scrub and here it is... 938g!!! by the way im not sure how long it will stay round for so i have my spare sl wheel ready to go back on when this one collapses haha more pictures of the actual bike to come...
  18. anyone run an echo 24 without a booster? im running a TT 2 bolt at the moment but keep hitting my ankle on it so i want to take it off. do the echo frames have enough flex to make your brake shit?
  19. looks pretty good. should have gone with lighter cranks and lighter tyres IMO. try all rear, small blok 8 front tyres. would have saved alot of weight.
  20. Its deffinatley the sl forks. Haha
  21. What forks are you running? Its most likely that you have flexy forks.
