Hi everyone i have been running dual disc on my stock for about 4 weeks now and want to upgrade i currently run avid speed dial 7 levers and a hayes caliper and a tektro caliper, non of them are great but levers just cost me £17 so should i buy some magura julies ( a pair ) or should i upgrade the calipers If you have any advice or disc brakes for sale please let me know Thanks howard
  2. i have a low rise and high rise echo stems and running monty bars not sure what rise
  3. I am riding a stock bike and latley have been changing the hieght of my stems. I have a low rise and a high rise stems but I dont know which one to go for. So i am asking you guys what you are using and what do you think is the best Cheers (i ride mainly street and rocks)
  4. Ok cheers onza 1 I would say definatly go single speed because i bet your gears jump when you do a trick or hop somthing?. I am running a 18tooth front and 15tooth rear with a surley singulater tension. Im gunna get a new one hopefully. And just one last thing go careful not to smash break or bend the silver hanger because for a small piece they are very expensive Cheeers mate thanks for the vote

I have now just bought a pair of Avid speed dial 7and im running an old school avid calipers also just perchased a set of xtr pads and new cables not running my rear rim with a grind at the moment and i am running a good cable disk at the front Just wondered if i should go magura or make the v-brake better Should i buy a booster Thanks
  7. ok mate cheers i have been riding for about 1 to 1.5 years now not great as i ride xc more (dont diss it untill you have tried it) live in witney area ride bristol, oxford and have been to portsmouth once And my phase is single speed running echo stem monty bars hayes mechanical disc front with some new avid 7 levers and avid v on the rear My dad is building my fluro pink tryall rim up so that should be nice. How about yours
  8. ok thanks guys will buy an ultimate v-brake when i get verified ok nice mate the red one Are you running maggies then I have just bought some avid 7 levers and xtr pads my rim is brand new and will be set up so it is super straight and also bought some xt cables so braking should feel plush Thanks for the help mate Need front drilled rim when i get verified and new cranks mine are busted
  9. how do you know im gunna run evo 2 setup but cheers mate might just make an ultimate v-brake setup Sorry i missed the last post I ride a MAD phase 1.3 custom setup so i would have to run evo 2's I know the bike isnt great but it does the job
  10. Hi I have been running a rear v-brake for some time now and my rim has a pretty intense grind on it so the brake works great. My problem is that it wears my pads out so quick I am hopefully going to maggie soon and although i have plenty of pads was wondering which pads are the tuffest and live the longest Thanks if you can help out Howvard

Hi Does anyone here recomend running a v-brake on the front or magura And also if any of you guys are running a v-brake on the rear what set up are you using what lever what calipers and pads Im running a v-brake on the rear at the moment which is ok and my magura is in need of a service so just wondered to disc, sort the magura or buy a new v-brake setup Thanks for the help Howard

  13. hi i am a new mumber to this but have been riding for about a year and a half bike isnt great but am slowly making it better. My most reacent perchase was a fluro pink rear rim its 46mm wide and i was just wondering what size rim tape in white i should buy Cheers everyone Howard
  14. Hi everyone just wondered if anyone had a front stock wheel drill through in good condition for sale £50 max unless its somthing special and what colour rim tape should i use for my blue bike rear wheel black rim and hub Cheers everyone
