Think I'm gonna go to Richer Sounds and then Sound Control in leeds to get some speakers at the weekend. It's pissing me off not being able to get any. If I can't find any I'm gonna take my floor standing ones and my Amp and just put it somewhere like under my laptop on my desk or something.

Nah I disagree. iTunes music store is the most horrible invention ever. iTunes is good for a music organiser / player, let me guess you'd prefer to use WMP?

+1. No-one will pay for them. Fact. No-one will pay for music nowadays, do you really think they will for a myspace design? And if they did someone would just leak it onto the net and rip you out of the money stream. Jon Mack's myspace is better designed than yours I'd say, and it didn't take him long at all. Haha. The last line makes me laugh. Tell you what though, this guys profile is f**king awesome: http://www.myspace.com/tombarnesphotographic

No but what I'm getting at is they've evidently got a super PDA in development haven't they. No doubt they'll be in design or testing now, it's inevitable. They're moving slowly towards it just trying to suck as much money out of the markets as they can, when the market gets saturated and everyone's got iPods, sales start to slow at current price levels they re-price the lower stuff, bring out now super-cool stuff which is expensive and then here we go again, more money for Apple! As far as I'm aware, this site which I found quickly, starts to list some third party applications which users can download over wifi and then obviously install. The iPhone and iPod touch OS and framework is near identical some geeks say, so it's going to be pretty easy to run a lot of the stuff you can on an iPhone, on the iPod touch. Apart from the obvious differences between the iPhone and iPod Touch - voice calling, phone address book, texting. You're missing Google Maps and Mail which I'd say are pretty good applications to have. Obviously you're not going to be using Google Maps all that easily 'cos you'd want it while you're driving down a road, not having to sit in a Cafe to find stuff but it'd still be good to have. Not having mail is what's actually really pissing me off. I think I might just put my money in an ISA until nearer Christmas and then buy the latest stuff then, once loads more Apps are out for the iPhone and it's been really really hacked so it'll run anything. I've got admit though, the drops in prices for the iPod Classics are really good but I won't use 160gb even if I tried!
-
Haha I'm not sure if people read stuff about that teenager unlocking the iPhone so that it could be used with T-Mobile? Well until that happens I'm not buying jack shit. I do however like the price drops, like Tomm said a 80gb iPod 'classic' for that price is incredible compared to previous prices! I'm tempted to buy an iPod touch (16gb) once people have made some more apps for it. I'd quite like to have a mail client on it, and I've read rumors of having Skype on it? 16gb isn't too bad in my opinion but a lot of people were complaining about the small memory. I guess that if you think a high quality DVD rip can be put into around a gig for an iPhone, it's not all that bad when you think about it. I think it's because flash memory is so expensive but also because of their pricing strategy. Wait for 3 months and they'll be cheap as chips and we'll have loads of new features from another products, no doubt! Anyway, good news if you ask me, one more step towards Apple gaining world domination in the music player and PDA market haha.

Extending My Wireless Network With A Signal Booster?
Dai the Socket replied to JonMack's topic in Chit Chat
don't need one, they just say you do 'cos they want you to buy it. I've done it with mine now, and that's going off a Netgear router and Buffalo wireless airstation -
That's because she's paralytic from alcohol, Ben.

I agree about the good idea for the topic and don't want to clog the thread up much but The D50 has stopped being produced so you won't be able to get hold of many soon, although they are good starter cameras at good prices nowadays. They pwn the 350d. I agree with Haz about memory cards becoming more of a problem when you're shooting at 10mpx. I'd suggest buying from Play.com and looking at the Sandisk 2gb Extreme 3 SD of Compact Flash cards. They're really cheap from there, free postage and buying more is better especially at that price. I've got 4gb of space now, hopefully should do me for a while shooting RAW at 10mpx!

Just to clarify: Some stores will match if they can still make a profit on the item, however they usually saw it's got to be a Mag or a UK online shop. I think that a lot of stores just don't do it because it's not company policy, however others will and put it through as 'Managers Discount'. Just like a bit of an update. I've got my sound sticks and to be honest I'm not all that impressed. They're very, average. Bass isn't as punchy as I expected and they don't go deafeningly loud which is something I was looking for too I'm going to send 'em back and get some M-Audio Studiophile BX5a's which have a spec of: 70 watts of distributed power (30w HF amp, 40w LF amp) 5” low-frequency drivers with: • curved Kevlar cones • high-temperature voice coils • damped rubber surround 1” natural silk high-frequency drivers requency response: 56Hz-22kHz crossover frequency: 3kHz low-frequency amplifier power: 40 watts high-frequency amplifier power: 30 watts signal-to-noise: > 100dB (typical A-weighted) They're RRP £189 but my local computer shop can get them for £165 inc. VAT.

Haha. £500 is a bit tight for a Mac. I think for £600 Education Price you'll get one which is like 2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB Ram, 13.3" Widescreen, Webcam built-in, Remote, 667MHz Frontside bus, 80GB HDD, CD R/W DVD/R. Pretty average lol.

Extending My Wireless Network With A Signal Booster?

http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/ "Enjoy your iTunes music library in virtually any room of your house — or several rooms at once. Share a single broadband Internet connection and USB printer without inconvenient and obtrusive cables. Create an instant wireless network on the go. Extend the range of your current wireless network. How many devices do you need to do all this? Just one." "Extend Your Network If you already have a wireless network in your home and would like to extend its range, AirPort Express is your answer. Suppose you want to connect to the Internet with your MacBook Pro in an area that lies beyond the 150-foot range of your AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station. You can use AirPort Express as a wireless bridge to extend the range of your primary base station.(5)" You know you want to Jon -
As far as I can see you've absolutely raped your bike for 9-11months, smashed it into loads of stuff and gone big on it. You've ragged it so hard it's bent the frame and you expect a brand new replacement, for free? I don't think so. If your frame was in the condition it is, without and bends I doubt you'd get £100 for it, so Dan knocking a load more than that off a new frame is just good customer service if you ask me. Onza offer half price warrenty replacements and I support Dan when he does. You should just admit it, you've raped your frame and it's bent, buy a new one from someone else or just accept Ko-Bikes' offer.

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread
Dai the Socket replied to Has anyone seen my shoe?'s topic in Chit Chat
I dunno why but I just chat loads, and random stuff to girls but that's my personality with anyone really. I don't have a problem talking to girls that I like unless they're supermodel hot or really stuck up then I don't like them more than eye candy. Just talk about anything you think they'll have something to say about, however avoid politics, books, football, shit sports and ex boyfriends/girlfriends haha. How'd you meet them? Out? Did they have fun? Who were they out with? What did they do this week, last week, next week, they got any hobbies? Ask about them if they do. I ask about if they've got any brothers or sisters or anything and if they ask why just say you're curious, which you are! If you like them a lot you'll want to know everything about them. Oh and go to the cinema on a first date, you don't have to talk much then, so if you find a lot to talk about then you can meet up again, if not you're not shitting it 'cos its only like 20 mins each way of the film isn't it. Oh and if she's a bird you like buy her a ticket, I loved waiting to see if they expected me to buy it or not, shows a lot about a girl. Girls expecting and I mean WILL NOT PAY FOR their own ticket is bull shit. f**k that. Leave them straight away. I don't like buying girls drinks at all either unless they're friends and I'm loaded. Meh! Sorry, random rant. -
Well really, The new log-in system should be able to keep track of what's bought by who, what trends, how often change their bikes, how much they spend a year at their store and if it's going up or down, or at Christmas so it's by other people. Obviously when you register you'll be able to sign up for the newsletter (if there isn't already one) which will no doubt pick up items which your trends will indicate you might be interested in, and hey bingo, simple but very active marketing. Like I said before, they can keep track of your 'account balance' and how much you've spent, meaning once you've got so much 'credit' you get free stuff you can buy in the store, meaning you'll happily but that new Frame, as it means you've got enough to get that rear mech you've been waiting for for the last 8 years. Good idea to be honest, and even better because I hear Dave has coded it all? Very impressive, and I'm glad you lot are doing well. Gimme a shout if you think I can help with anything. I like working with nice people.

f**king good post man, have you been riding long? Haven't seen you around.. -
I bet you're pretty gutted. To be honest I'd never get any band tattood onto my body just because you will dislike them in later life, and people will think you're a social retard for it. Looks shit imo. I'd pay not to have it on.
