Anyone Here Do Weights To Increase Performance?
Dai the Socket replied to John planet x's topic in Trials Chat
I just go to the Gym to tone up really. Not trials-related. Keeps me fit and the ladies averagely happy lol. -
I'm after some headphones for Christmas, to listen to my iPod and computer on. (Mainly iPod). I want some big headphones, rather than in-ear ones, just because I like the look and have tried a few one and they're more comfortable, whilst giving much better sound quality. I know the big brands in stuff like that are Sennheiser and Sony, but I was wondering if anyone had any personal experiences or worked in shops that sold this kind of thing? I think the price range is £20 - 40 so I'm not after anything DJ standard but something with good value for money would rule thanks, Nick.

No surprise you were de-validated was it.
-
What i was getting at. Was who gives a f**k?
-
Exactly. Hence why I used it. I didn't use f**king Emo-Core-WHATEVER-THE-f**k genres because there's so much opinion in them, you can never get it right. They scream. They can be in the screamo category. Jesus christ.
-
I didn't see you there were a lot of people there though. I can't believe they had a railing / barrier at the front before the stage at the Cockpit! I really enjoyed 'em last night. Atmosphere was ace and they played their stuff really well. Playing their new 'The Feast' song was aceeee. Party tune or what! Whatever. I'm not going to argue my music taste against yours. I most probably don't like any of the bands you do, and they're one of the 'few' screamo type of band that I like. You like your music, I like mine. I'm not gonna try influence what you think so if you don't have anything nice to say, it's probably just best not to say anything at all mate. Yeh?

Lol well to be quite honest. It's all about opinion. I really like the majority of their stuff, and them being so small and stuff just makes my and my friends support feel like its going a bit further than just buying tickets to fund a ridiculously expensive lifestyle if you get me? They were shit at Leeds fest, admittedly. I dunno what happened but they sucked just about. Last time at the Gas Works in Bradford was mentallll though. I'll report back
-
My work has the right idea. BNP poster up in the driver's canteen bit. Sorted. haha.
-
I'll be sure to sing along to Sorry you're not a winner just for you Matt Haha! It's gonna be mental. I totally can't wait. I haven't seen them in like 2 months (Huddersfield then Bradford I think) so I'm really looking forwards to it, especially as they've been somehow getting plays on Radio1 Lockup and stuff!! I'll get some photos for y'all! Tshirt anyone? PS Oh and to whoever said brand new. I saw them at the Cockpit in Leeds for £6 when they were tiny and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. they were sooo good with all their old stuff

I doubt you'll of got her pregnant. Probabilities are slim, plus she's gotta be at the right time of the money and all that. Hopefully you weren't retarded enough to shoot all your load 'in' her and if not then I'll be you a tenner you're fine I had a fling ages ago when me and a girl who was in our friendship group were kinda a bit close - both single. I didn't use one and everything ended up alright. Thank f**k. Silly bitch told me she was on the pill and she wasn't. Hmph! Good shag though.. -
Yeah. GCSE's aren't "unimportant" but they're not as hard as you're gonna expect. For most of you anyway. I went (and still go to) a grammar school so not being snobbish but we didn't have any kids who only went to school because they had to kinda thing. So distractions were minimal, but just paying attention in lessons ended up getting me decent grades as I did sooo little revision. Maybe about 2 hours per subject in total, out of school? The night before kinda thing. If you do do well though, it'll definately help you with your A-Level stuff and if you're planning to go to work then they do make a big difference if you want to get anywhere that pays good money
-
Good call. I'm off to see 'em again at the Cockpit in Leeds on Thurs. I've been to all their gigs up around me (5 so far) but the cockpit will be incredible. It's SUCH a good venue. Really small too so I'm planning some stage action

lol. frontal media website works but its sorted now Frontal Media site's just about fine, after ive finished sorting the .htaccesss. Erm. Yeah I do get what you mean about the 'Johns a f**king gay bumma' stuff. However. What we thought about was: Taking a deposit from those wanting the book (£5 or so)Giving people who've left deposits usernames and passwords for the siteWhen they log in, they have up to (1000 or whatever) Characters to write about themselves, covering certain stuff.Answer questions about whatever's decided Ie Best Mates or whatever. My school's really not that bad to be honest. I go to a Grammar School and we're all quite a tightly knit year group, no chavs and very very little arguing. Don't think there's been more than 2 fights like - ever. I guess I thought It could just be something I could sort out with better value for money, and as they're asking £14 for something we don't know what it's gonna be like. It's a bit shit!

At my school, they're trying to get everyone's photo together and have a little bit of information about every sixth form pupil leaving in 2007. I thougt it's a pretty good idea, but was curious to what's around online. I've had a big look around with not much success and wondered if anyone on here had / has / are going to have anything like that? And where they're gonna try get it done? Me and James (my friend who runs Frontal Media with me) thought it might be a possible option for us to arrange it all, then get the printing sorted but I wanted to kind of know what we were against for Price and Quality. I thought setting up some kind of website so that all the pupils in my year can fill out the information that's going to be put in the book, after logging in and stuff. Ideas? The book from us would be A4 folded. One person's information per A5 sheet. With a bit about them and a photo Cheers. Nick

I've had both. I've decided car. More practicle. Simply on the basis that you can't make out with a girl / your gf on a motorbike. You can in a car. Also stuff to take in to account: Motorbikes are more dangerous. Fact. I know that. It rains loads in the UK and rain on a bike is f**king shit. You've gotta have your helmet and jacket etc somewhere every time you go eg College You'll get TPFT insurance so if you bin your bike you're f**ked. Just wait until you can drive and get on the rents insurance or something. Meh

No it's not Quad It's just got two red ones and two black ones Which means I'm guessing it just powers one pair or speakers which is pretty rubbish. I listen to a lot of Rock / Drum and Bass music, so I'm looking for something that can handle a lot of bass without killing the treble or mid tones. Any ideas? I guess I'd quite like to add to or replace my current speakers, a bit of a change really. I've got a little bit of money spare at the moment so wouldn't mind getting myself a little 'more' kitted out before I go off to Uni next year. It's just the speakers I've got at the moment are really big, as they're floor standers, but I find that although they're immense quality, when turned up loud, the bass kills everything

A bit old I know but I've got some ideas / questions - ness I've still got my Setup of the Sony amp + CD deck, then Mission M33 speakers I'm pretty happy with them, but I think the speakers are a little but too big, and due to my bedroom shape it's hard to simulate anywhere near surround sound even when bouncing it off walls. I was wondering whether I'd be able to use my Amp (Sony TA-FE370) to link up a set of these smaller Mission speakers (Mission M31i) I was wondering whether my amp would power the 4 speakers okay? Or do I need to change anything? Cheap as possible thanks

I guess a lot of people have said their stuff but I might as well give a few tips too lol - I went a couple of weeks ago Try make the corners as straight as possible - go out wide before you cut in to the apex then bang on the accelerator and leave the corner wide. Remember that if you accelerate harder and turn, you'll get the kart sideways and it'll turn more, so faster is usually better It helps you control the kart around corners. They say no brake and accelerator at the same time but do it when you're starting cos it launches you off haha. Have fun

meh. after reading you haven't seen her in 3 weeks thats a bit much if you ask me, but to be honest she might not be able to do anything about it. PMT about cadets and going home early? Dunno how old your bird is but to be honest they get stroppier usually lol. with my ex i couldn't stand not seeing her for like 2-3 days, it felt like AGES but realistically, it wasn't at all. I just had my head in the clouds and stuff. see how it goes. maybe it just won't work? -
