f**king awesome. I'm a bit into photograhy with a dSLR etc and a lot into making websites and I can appreciate how good your stuff looks. I'd hire you. Seriously. I've gotta make me a site like that now haha. Photography specific. Did you do the making? I noticed it links to http://www.amcas.co.uk/ but they do photography too? Is that your business or....? If so you fancy helping me ? Ha!

Yeah but with a mac you could still bluetooth it or put it on a network and retrieve your files by your 1pm lunch meeting, rather than wait 2 weeks
-
That's what I'm doing. Every 3 months apple release something new, a better 'whatever' which makes your old machine a little older haha. From when they announce Leopard for release you can buy a Mac and then when the disks get into stores take it back and then get it upgraded free I'm buying mine Late august before Uni I think

I don't think I 'get' virtual desktop. Is it just an app for an Admin of a network to be able to do stuff on all the screens or something? I mean I'm admin at my home network, and does it mean I can log in to my iMac, on my Mac Mini and see the identical screen that I would on the other computer and do everything like it WAS the other computer? It confuses me

Yeah but mowing him down will make him in pain, enough to tell me who he did buy it off
-
Yeah but I bet most PC's dont have it, so doesn't that mean they're STILL not with the times?
-
Apple's come with wireless built in so you're fine there. Also all the MacBook and MBP range have a 'Sudden Motion Sensor to help protect data in the event of a drop'. Which means the system disengages the disk drive heads from the hard disk platters so that it doesn't wipe your HD

I thought that after. then thought i couldn't be bothered and you can't edit poll stuff after - ooops haha. Anyway. Its hard to find out. Hmph! Sucks to do mathhhh.

Depends on the money available, really. I'm a mac boy. I've never owned a PC in my life or had one in the house which was owned by us in my lifetime. So yeah. I have however used my friend's PC's and those at school so I know how they work. Shame windoze is such a crap platform I guess. Im not gonna argue, cos this is old school stuff when it was Me, Jon MacK and a couple of others VS the world on here, defending the mac's! haha. I prefer OsX and I like how apple stuff looks and you know everything works. If you want XP programs or games use bootcamp and run Vista. Macs are expensive for what they are. I mean the 20" cinema screen I bought is still £500 on education price which is the same spec as loads of £350 dell ones but it just looks pretty and is really slim / tidy. I dont play games and have no desire to so I've no problems with that. Adobe CS works perfect and the boot-up time is about 4 seconds until I can surf the net - which I like. I'm looking at selling my Mac Mini in summer and buying a MacBook Pro for Uni, which should be nice.

Phew that took a while. Well. I'm on BT at the moment and paying £27 a month but I dont know how much I actually download, I think it's around 6gb a month cos of torrenting and stuff so I want to get a cheaper package. If you could fill it out and maybe comment who you're with maybe? thanks Nick.

Just been woken up my by sister telling me that someone's broken into the garage downstairs, stolen 3 of my parent's bikes and tried to come in to the house, with my sis and her boyf sleeping in the back room. He's a bouncer so I think they shit it and ran but knocked stuff when they were leaving and woke them up. Gotta find photos of the bikes now for the coppers to have a gander at. Question is. I don't own a bike, or should the insurance think I did?

The question that is arising on everyone's minds who has been on TF for atlest a year.... WHO THE f**k WOULD WANT TO BE SPONSORED BY YOU?
-
Download speed of 1.5mbps Upload of 96.3 kbps not as bad as I though it was going to be actually. That's on a 2meg line. I'm gonna ring up BT and tell 'em im gna change if they dont upgrade it or make it cheaper - I heard that works

Lol at the RX-8 having £8,000 of optional extras haha!! I reckon the Veyron and a F1 car should have a drag race. First to 250mph

Cheers Callum and Joe. Just replied to your PM now Anthony Time to go to bed I think...

Yeah ISA's are a really good idea for atleast £3k of it, so do that then you've got £7k to play with. There's a company called LIBA (London Investment Banking Assoc.) who lend funds to the government and big companies for investment I think. I'm not 100% but that's something to look into Investment Banking ..

I've got a Panasonic NV-GS30 Mini DV camera which I'll probably sell as I don't use it - to put the money towards my new laptop Used it loads when I rode trials but now I've quit I never find a use for it, and as I'm really into photography that takes up all my time. I found this link about it's spec: http://www3.shopping.com/xPF-Panasonic-NV-...ww.google.co.uk I've got a firewire cable for it, and a fisheye lens adapter for it. Plus a bag. It's got a lithium charger etc. It's pretty good, and panasonic are a really good make.. I found a rough price of "£456" through Lycos comparison. I'm thinking nearer your budget cos it's quite old and money's money to me haha. Gimme a shout if you're interested
