My mum phoned NHS direct and got a doctor out within about 2 hours (at 10pm) when I had it about 3 months ago. I was f**ked, couldn't move at all. Was sick when I took tablets to make the throat better too, like bloody sick. Urgh! I had no energy, and i'd happily stay in bed for 24-36 hours with out doing anything. I was also sweating buckets, felt freezing but was actually really warm with a temperature of about 102degrees I think (cant remember to be precise but it was mega high). The doc said the best thing to do was to take my covers away, and let me freeze to bring my temperature down. Keep drinking water and paracetamol. Don't try to eat anything if you don't want to. I'd get ringing NHS direct if I were you: 0845 4647 and make your mum INSIST you have a doctor come out, 'cos moving you could make you freeze or collapse

Thing is, I've heard so much shit that if they 'claim' 14 miles in perfect conditions' then it's actually like 200 metres if there are buildings / wind / whatever interfering. I don't wonna buy some shit ones, but I need some nice 'uns too!

There already is. Adium is much much better than Microsoft MSN messenger for mac, by about 9999X over. It's customisable, and offers all the things that MSN does, but looks better and works faster. Windoze is for retards, and people who are too scared to try something new, or like gaming / upgrading their computer a lot. I prefer OsX for it's simplicity, ease of use, mega applications and how it doesn't break. Unlike windoze
