Adam and Dave from tartybikes, putting so much into trials and providing us with the best trials specific bike shop in the UK. Also great advice all the time and constantly friendly. I also have adam say a few times, "the trials world is too small to make enemies..." Maybe a policy that others should adopt? There are too many people out there who are just getting at each others throats all the time. And to me both adam and dave (and stan too actually) seem to stick to that policy.

Thanks adam sorted it for me. Some amazing riding going on there... Beasty gaps!

You never saw me on my czar then Glad someone else has a clue.

What the hell is all the fuss about? I can't see why everyone is making a such fuss about a poorly edited video contianing scetchy, mediocre/goodISH riding and loads of stacks? Nothing inspiring about that video, infact quite the opposite. The best thing was the backflip, which he wasnt even on a bike for - because he fell off (suprise suprise). Really boring, bad music for the video and a big file size.

Yeah, where are we meant to be looking?

I would like it to so if someone could upload it that wold be good

Am i the only person who thinks it is hideous? It looks like a frame that is trying to be too clever and futuristic and just ended up looking wank... The bit around the seat area is NASTY Hate it, hate it, hate it!

I think as mark was saying before he has been shooting a lot of BMX so its rather different to trials. He was probably just trying out different angels but didnt mean the rides to be out of focus... Either way i like most of the pics. Loving the one of fat mike holding my back wheel

Anyone Got Any Pics Of The Biggest Tap Possible?
philking replied to Revell-Bikes's topic in Riding Pictures
No that was a tap its from one of his videos... i know it looks crazy but if deffo is a tap. As for hook, benito or tunnicliffe both seem to be biggest at the moment. -

Depends if you want to actually get it or not If you want good service too then i'm afraid you will have to pay 220... but thats not much to ask really.

Can someone please sort out the links so they work. Thanks

You're wrong, not unless its british national champs, or the worlds - are you entering either of those? If so then get gears, if not and you are looking towards doing tyke trials or YMSA then no you can run singlespeed if you want.
-
They can and are - they are the same calipers front and rear, but it all gets a bit complicated because different frames have the mounts in different positions - the simtra for example has a plus 40mm disc mount. Basically the only 2 calipers available are the 160mm caliper or the 180mm caliper. Then if you want say a 200mm rear disc u either need an adaptor or a frame that already has a 'plus' disc mount.
-
Basically the koxx forks have a plus 30mm disc mount. This means that if you were to buy a normal disc brake with, lets say, a 160mm caliper you would have to buy a 190mm rotor to go with it (160 + 30 = 190). So they got hope to make them some brakes that wouldnt need to have another rotor bought to make them work - The try-all brake which if you mounted on other forks (not koxx) you would find the rotor is 30mm too big for the caliper. However when mounted on koxx forks it all fits fine. Of course hope didnt want this brake to be exclusive to koxx so they decided to release it without the try-all name on it, they also made it so it would work on normal forkes without adaptors ets. (I.E. if you buy a 160 caliper and it comes with a 160 rotor it will work on all normal forks exept koxx forks.) This brake is the hope trial brake (nothing to do with try-all). So to conclude, if you are using any forks other than koxx, you will not need any adaptors if you buy a trial brake... If however you are using koxx forks then the brake you want to buy is the Try-all because it comes with the correct plus 30mm rotor. I hope that clears a few things up?

Is the adjusting cone ( the bit you tighten when your cones come loose) turning when you try to undo the quick release axel ends? if so hold it still by pressing something into the 3 little notches in it and then undo the ends... If that doesnt work have you tried just pulling it apart?

KMC Kool chain is generally the best around... There will be other suggestions such as the KHE collapse but in my experience the collapse just gets very stiff. Majority of people would reccomend the KMC chain. P.S. Don't go for the sram - will not last for trials.
-
Your axel has snapped or part of it... The quick release end broke on mine so take it apart and identify which part has broken and either replace just that bit or make the change to a heavy duty axel. All the possible spares that you could need you should fine here.

Maybe i should make a suprise appearence and come from london to ride kenal? What you think dan, worth my while?

What he said generally is true exept the T-Rex had got to be one of the heaviest trials bikes around. Indestructable but but by no means is it a light bike so i don't know where he got that idea However its the best bike you can get for the money and you can't really go to wrong with it
