  1. I'll tel you what it is... Its f*cking horrible! :)
  2. Yes you are right, i have just had a look at the mounting - i thought it was a normal mount, but it isn't. Also you would only need 2.5mm of spacers because the rotor is 2.5mm bigger all the way around, thus making the 5mm in total.
  3. Unfortunately the smallest size adapter you can get is 10 mm i believe (i.e. needing a 20mm bigger rotor). You would need a 2.5 mm bigger adapter, which (unless i am mistaken) doesnt exist.

  6. He he tomm! All part of the fun of riding up there :) Need to get together for a ride soon, are you back in lancaster now then?
  7. I wasn't being serious, only joking, cause i showed him that spot only about a week ago, and now everyone loves it... Any way, how do you know... i might own the land
  8. Nice pics Adam... You have stolen my riding spot, and are showing it off as your own! (Y) But nice pics, and i expect everyone to thank me for introducing that spot to them! :P (Come to burton for a ride tonight Ads)
  9. No the size of the rotor would be measured to the largest diameter... ie from the tip of a bump, to the tip of the opposite bump. Therefore same size are interchangable.
  10. If the forks are 2004 or older then it is plus 20mm, if they are 2005 then it is plus 30mm. They changed it again this year for the new hope trial brake. I know this is correct as i have had both... so there!
  11. I have it... will add you now EDIT: Tried and it wouldnt send... so other who have it - do try and send it to him. Cheers
  12. The only problem i see here is that even when the perfect compound is discovered for the pads, some people will still think it is crap. Mainly due to the fact that SO many people don't have the faintest idea how to set up brakes. Also, the compound may be perfect on your specific set up, with the correct grind, rim, brake booster, brake lever and set up but it may fail on others... Obviously that is why your testing will/has covered many different areas of set up. Unfortunately people will still slag off brake pads saying they are crap, when the real reason is they have contaminated them, or their pads are hitting the tyre, or a million other reasons that have nothing to do with the compound. Pity really, but for the people who can set up brakes it is an exiting time, and i look foward to the results of all your hard work, thanks guys :D :turned:
  13. The brakes auto-ajust and should be able to push the pistons out far enoughto use ALL of the pad compound... It is a strange problem but with a sufficient bleed there shouldnt be any problem with what you have described.
  14. Often when new breakes come from hope they are not sufficiently bled... Just the way it is. However, given hope just did it for you especially, it should be perfect. It sounds to me like the leaking which you thought was from excess fluid, was actually due to a system fault... dogey seals maybe. Ring hope and explain the exact problem, and they should sort you properly this time.
  15. What, so hope fixed one leak, and it came back with another? Sounds like sticking pads are the least of your problems... Where is it leaking from now?
  16. Bleed it, it will be worth it, and if you don't have a sryinge then do it the proper way, as can be found in the hope manual, it is just as easy, and no sryinge needed. Thats the way i do it, and i wouldn't think to do it differently. But yeah deffinately bleed it just incase there is trapped air further down the system.
  17. That'll be the problem, was the case when i had a cheap build, but now i have a tarty build it is fine... correct spoke tension is needed.
  18. In my opinion the mini - i used to have one then upgraded to the hope trial, but the mini is sound (Y) Only if it is a large rotor. !85 minimum for stock, and about 165 for mod
  19. Just had a quick look in the Gallery By stripped u mean no paint, as oppose to not built up?

    New Site

Does anyone else get the feeling that mod661 doesnt like the site then?! (N) Yeah, crap to be honest... vile, and sickening. Sorry
  21. Nice but it is sickeningly simmilar to the xtp which is an amazing frame. I mean, they could of at least changed the head tube bit slightly, instead of stealing some from koxx and welding them on to their own tubing
  22. Just push the left hand cylinder through the clamp a bit more, ie closer to the rim, also make sure the black bits of plastic (elbows as i call them) are set so they touch against the inside of the seat stays, if they are not the brake will just pivot outwards at the top and not work...
  23. Well the bar height isn't exactly low is it... mainly cos of the massice stems, also the bb rise almost puts it to the height of a 26" (well until the vinco came and started to change stuff :shifty:" ), so really i suppose it is fairly common sence... but good observation :P
  24. The pedal kick gives you the foward momentum, and lifting your body upwards is the hop... it will come with practice :P
