very good!!! balance and control is brilliant! will enjoy watching the improvments over the years to come.
-
Hi robin, yeah red it is, by the time fortbill and the 2rounds at end of year come i should be afair bit improved again hopefully. will catch up at some point robin as its been awile since i saw you.
-
i use 18t-15t with 175mm cracks and find plenty power for gaps and ups. 165mm should make your gearing harder so maybe help for rolling moves but not static moves.
-
yeah mine moves a little but not enough to worry about, i might just get a 2bolt carbon booster as might help with brake hold when on the back wheel.
-
hope its dry at bracken rocks. been there many a times for british champs and british team training and theres loads of good stuff. messy when wet though. yip agree with what your saying.
-
would a 24 being shorted not be slightly stiffer?? Its in the back of my mind to get the 2bolt carbon, just not sure if i really need it as the brakes have a good feel and are leathal.
-
for sure, i think comps bring the best out in riders after awile. you learn more by watching, the added pressure and some nerve makes you try harder and go for things you normally wouldn't. riding on rocks interest me so much more than concrete, its not for every one though.

Loving that video, that flat land bmx is brilliant!!!
-
Do you think you need one on the echo pure?? was so tempted to buy the trialtech carbon last night but i managed to hold back from the buy now button . I think its pretty good with out the booster to be fair, not even stan uses one. loving the new frame reaaly are the dogs balls.

this entry form looks alot better kev

well i'll see you there aswell getting my arse wooped on the red route by the young guys too. worth ago as all i have ever done is comps on a motor bike. don't have any street where i live so i may aswell try my hand at natty bashing on a push bike.
-
will do a bit of searching see if i can find any, my aim is to go for red so i'll keep practising then am sure i'll find out. as you guys said its handy to know you can change after 2/3sections. carthys a bit of a animal for such a young lad!! fair play he has the skills.
-
Hey up how's agoing, thanks for the reply. I try not to bash at all, the odd pedal may get hit or used. Yeah I think black route may be the answer, I think by end of year with practising I then could maybe try red. Any one got any video clips of British Cups in uk?
-
Hi guys. right i fancy doing afew british cups this year, The 2rounds in fort william then bracken rocks and shipley glen later in the year if i can. Plan to put some effort in to practise come lighter night etc. What route?? how hard is red/expert as this is what i'd like to give a bash or would black be a better choice.

Dan go buy a new (METAL cutting disc) for your grinder. the thin sharp square edge gives a awesome medium sharp grind. just take it off every time your finished so you dad can't use it. if you use a disc with a round edge all your doing is grinding your rim to death and not making it any better.

was going to say that wd40 also drys which is no us as a lube. gt85 is a degreaser with teflon lube. works well with echo sl freewheel basically to stop it rusting and seizing as theres no grease whats so ever in them.
-
Cnc cousts up front are great, but find they lack hold on rear, awesome bite though! Cnc yellows with medium Sharp grind, Maggie slaves,tr 2011 levers,water-antifreeze for the win.
-
Yip same set up i have. HSB yellows, sharp medium grind, magura slaves, echo 2011 tr lever with anti freeze-water bleed. You won't be dissapointed. work a treat in the wet aswell. One thing you need to do though is buy a new METAL cutting disc for grinder, tried all sorts of disc and this works best by FAR.
-
I use cnc backings and this sometimes still happens but not alot, as Ross has said you really need to take note when you take them off . Also trialtech sl rims are angled out the way so setting them square is a must! I use a belt sander and square the pads off, works a treat!
-
Hey up bud, I've tested all Heatsink pads on a grind, at the moment I use yellows front and rear, amazing brakes. Also I would recommend the hsb cousts on front with a grind. Blues are a big no no on front with a grind unless you fancy snapping your forks, on or off, the braking power of these are unreal and makes it hard to control. Not great in wet either. Yellow for the win.
-
i would sand them square and start again. The chamfer always faces the ground if you get me, right side/right end of pad pointing to the grond.left side/left end facing the ground. they always wear like this for some gay reason, i think its to do when it slips backwards it tears the pad and you end up with the tip of pad rounded.

yeah trial is for sat and sunday so no bikes will be able to mess about as from wk before. section start getting marked out through the wk then practise for british riders starts 3pm till 5pm then championship sunday. that ale pie was hell of a strong, johny was talking pish after he finished it lmao.
-
thats what i was ment to say lol. can't beat the stuff, has teflon in it plus smells the business
-
john that was a great video, really good seeing the progress over all those years. shame you didn't keep at the motorcycle trials look like you could of been a dab hand it aswell. quality mate.
