grinds are wank if you use an old disk, the newer and squarer the edge of the disk the better. dont worry about cleaning the rim and stupid things like that - you grind the surface off :/

Water wont remove oil.... Best bet is to get some degreaser of some kind, Lee always uses (i think) carbon choke cleaner. meant for cars but does an awesome job. Try any kind of degreaser Ive not really bothered with mine but its never recovered from hobbsie smearing sausage fat on my disc at nass
