there are allot of smaller ledges and gaps at the top end of the uni.... if you want somewhere quiet and you are near hunslet way then there are a few industrial estates with stuff around there and a little to ride near elland road. in my oppinion leeds uni is the best place to ride in west yorkshire for all levels of rider, in a group or with your i pod.

i will disagree with the tighten it till you cant turn the nipple. you need to find out what kind of spoke it is( double butted i know but what is the butt in the spoke? is it 2mm/1.5mm/2mm like the dt revolution meaning the spoke goes from 2mm at the end of the elbow to 1.5mm to 2mm at the threads. once you have determoined the thickness at the centre of your spoke then you referance it with the chart that you got woth the park tool. ideally you are looking to get a rim to be around 95 to 100 kg of pull from the spokes wich off the top of my head for the dt revolution like i described will be around 16 17 on your tension tool. when you stars going above that the rim is harder to true, and get the up and down adjusted. yeh make them super tight, that doesn't make a super strong wheel. kenny

there are plenty of places to ride in leeds, if you want to play the uni has got loads, and not for the danny mac peeps. get in contact with judders on the forum, he rides leeds a fair bit.

was an awesome demo, very surreal having all the pro riders from all dicaplines watch danny.if you were there the atmosfere was second to none.cheers to everyone who kept cold beer in my hand all day.

I remember riding down there like 7 or 8 years ago! from the rocks at portobello ride through mussleburgh then onto seaton sands. if you can ride the walls at cockenzie ( behind the big chimney power station) and there is an old coal mine museum place near there, has some awesome drop rail gaps and old foundations of buildings that were fun. man it's been ages since i have been out that way!
