  1. Ok mate, I rekon you are probably right - I'm just being a fussy kid and trying to get into all this way too quickly. Got straight onto Tartybikes and had a look round, for now it all seems double dutch, but it will come to me... Eventually.
  2. Hey guys, this is automatically gonna put me in the 'douchebag' category of the forum, so please don't be mean or I will cry. I've been looking around the forum, and need some sound reassurance about bits on bikes, and their names.. Like, what are all the bits called? Because I'm having things flay past me such as "BB and ISIS" and BB measurements and stuff, and i'm completely baffled If someone could just tell me the bits of a trials bike, and their trials names? I've worked with bikes since I was a kid, and know them inside-out, but this is all chinese to me. And, I'm gonna pick up an Onza T-Bird off of Fleabay - it's got drilled rims, Maggies on both ends, and a carbon brake booster on the back - And matey wants £130 for it (I'm on a tight budget.. got about £210 - after having nout for about a year) I wanted to get the bike, buy a cheap Onza frame, like a Bird or a Pro - Just something pretty and light. Now I'm thinking I may need new forks, and cranks, and sprocket.. So do you think I should just wait until I have a bit more wonga? I'm really excited about getting a bike, and I really don't want to buy something - and then regret it.. Cheers guys
  3. Wow, that was simply awesome. I was blown away by the stunts, and the editing was brilliant! Great job man
  4. As far as I can see, no one was trying to sell anything.
  5. Hey there, my name is Glen. I'm 16 (17 in January) and live a small village in the south-west of Devon. I've been a BMX'er for many years, and as soon as I saw Danny MacAskill on Youtube I've wanted to try trials. I currently don't have a bike, because I can't find any nice ones at a good price. I want to get hold of a mod, and then move up to a 24". I'm happy to be here at the forum, and I look forward to being a full member Cheers!
  6. He could have told us that Kinda makes this topic pointless..
  7. Haha! It's not that bad, seriously - you're still young! Wow.. only 80 squid? thats really good, and even better for 50! **** me! and postage is good aswell, I was expecting a bit more than that. Ahh, at least the previous owner wasn't an arsehole! You should be excited! I get excited about getting one by just looking at the pictures!! Hmmm, it looks very long in pictures, must just be my eyes decieving me. But corr she is a beaut! makes me want one now! Keep me posted man, I'd love to see what it looks like after the rebuild! Cheers, KH3M.
  8. The Mission is up for £65 starting price, 7 days left, with no bids as of yet. - There is also a nice Da Bomb Pro 04' on there, 2 days left £100 starting price - but Da Bombs seem to get a bum wrap on here.. It is really nice looking, and is exactly what I want to be honest.. Although I would prefer an Onza, but you know - It will be my first bike so i'm not looking for an amazing top notch one, just something to bash about on. And I want it to have Maguras because I think V Brakes are tempermental and can be weak. And when I've got some more cash, I'd like to get an Inspired or something, and nice 24 incher Wow, we really are in the same boat.. Apart for the 12 year age difference that is I was looking at the compo, but it seems to me that the cranks are so low to the ground! They look like they would bottom out around corners if you were just regularly riding... but still, a nice bike - very long aswell. How much did you pick her up for? And how much was the postage? I was looking at couriers that were asking silly money! and yeah, I was hoping to get a Onza frame on here, something along those lines.. Cheers Guys, KH3M.
  9. Hey there guys, I want to get a 'Mod' or a 20" bike or whatever you guys call them, not really too sure Anyway, I've seen a bike on eBay, and it isn't exactly what I want - But this is my plan. It's a Mission, not sure what model, but it's got a frame like a T-Bird which I hate, so I plan to get a new frame, and swap it all round. Purely because this Mission has full HS33's, Creepy Crawler on the rear and such & such. So do you think this is a good idea? There are a few good bikes on the Bay at the moment.. There is an Onza T-Mag on there with a bent frame, otherwise nice bike - Full HS33's and stuff again.. Reason i'd like to do this, is because I'm 16, I'm around 5'8, I ride BMX - and I'm pretty skint. Cheers, KH3M.
