  1. To be honest i like the neon forks, (neon conquer and neon curved blade) and they are light enough, so i think i will go for one of them. Echo SL seem to break a lot from what i have heard (because they are for competiton riders only) Does nobody think the 2 neon forks mentioned above are any good? By the way, i have never seen echo lite forks...
  2. Anyone got suggestions for lighter forks? Thanks
  3. There are no echo lite 20" forks, and i still think echo urbans are too heavy for their price. Has nobody got any idea how good neon conquers/neon curved blade/try all forxx are? I would really like to save as much weight as possible on my bike, but i get the fact that some forks are weak. Thanks.
  4. Ok Anyone got any idea how each frame rides/feels etc? Thanks
  5. Yeah thats what ive heard, they say on TartyBikes that they are recommended for competition riders only, so I'm not goin for them Any others you would recommend, light-ish ones?? Cheers
  6. I know the trialtechs may be strong, but I'm all for weight saving. I mean, the trialtech forks are over 200grams heavier than the ones i have been looking at and they are £20-£30 more expensive Are there no other forks you would recommend, such as neon conquer, neon curved blade, or echo sl? Thanks.
  7. I would like to order forks this week so could someone help ASAP? Thanks.
  8. I wouldnt go for Ech urban mate, they are far too heavy, the Echo SL is a much better option, or the Try All rim, and then you can choose a hub and spokes to go with it, and pay £10 for Tarty to build it up for you. that will cost you aound £100 and you will get an amazing wheel. i got my custom wheel today and it is awesome.
  9. Yeah I've heard they are strong, but i would really prefer some lighter ones. Any other suggestions considering weight? Thanks a lot.
  10. Hey I am currently looking to buy some new 20" forks for my Monty 219 Alp and I was looking at Echo SL, but many people have told me they are weak. Is this true? Could anyone help me decide which forks to get? Thanks
  11. sorry wrong forum
  12. Hey. I am soon buying a new frame for my Monty 219 Alp custom build bike, and am stuck on which to get. Zoo Lynx, Echo lite 09 or another one. Anyone know which is best/ridden any of them? Thanks
  13. Hey, this is my Monty 219 Alp so far. Started out with a sketchy 2nd hand bike from ebay, and i think I've made it better. Monty 219 Alp frame Bashplate Monty Bars Rear Magura HS33 Front V brake Monty tyres Monty forks Monty exclusive design rear wheel Try All/Because front wheel Gold/Red Next up, I'm buying Echo SL forks so I can put my Hayes Stroker Ryde disc brake on the front Then I'm going to change to a front freewheel with a Rockman freewheel/Trialtech fixed sprocket/trialtech forged cranks. New Frame - Can't decide between Zoo Lynx and Echo lite 09 Rear wheel Finally, little bits and bobs like Echo TR pedals (cant decide between caged or platform), Echo TR bars, Neon Bow headset, Tyres (cant decide which ones) and Try All lock on grips. Anyone got any comment/suggestions as to what i should get? (disc brake? frame? rear wheel? pedals?) Thanks
  14. Hey man, I'm thinking about buying either and Echo lite or Zoo Lynx frame for my 20" Monty 219 Alp. Could you tell me what you think of the Echo (and possibly the Zoo)? Thanks.
  15. yeah thats great mate cheers. I'm still undecided whether to get echo lite 09 or zoo lynx I am 16 and about 6 ft, and would prefer long frame. Could i get some feedback from people on each frame? Thanks a lot.
  16. I'm looking for a new rear mod 19" wheel too, and I would say echo sl is best mate. Take a look at that and see what you think
  17. Hey. Just wondering if anyone rides in Kinross or the surrounding area? Thanks
  18. Hey cheers mate. I have already ordered a whole new front wheel - rim hub and spokes. I plan to get ECHO Sl forks which are the lightest for 20" bikes. I have ridden 26" bikes both with front magura and front disc, and i really loved the braking power on the disc, because it is sharp but easier to control than maguras, and seem more reliable. Sprry to say this but I disc brakes do look amazing on 20" bikes. (i hate to say it because I know looks shouldn't matter!) Thanks
  19. Yeah i get that, thanks. Thats not the point though. Point is, i want my bike to look good because i see all these bikes that look amazing and i want mine to look like them. I'm obviously not going to get a worse rim, just because the colour isnt right, that would be stupid. But what i would like to do is get good rims in smart colours, and i think the ECHO Sl is the right one, even though it is slightly on the heavy side. Cheers.
  20. awright nice one man, think i'm gonna go for that too, even thought its £50. it does look amazing. any others you would recommend just out of interest? and it would be great if i could get validated guys
  21. alright thanks. i have bought a hayes stroker ryde disc brake off a mate for only £15, so i will give it a shot at least, and if its bad i can always buy another brake.
  22. Hey. i have a Rockman Slate 2 £449 off Tarty bikes and it is totally worth it. really amazing on the back wheel and it is the lightest frame you can buy other than the Koxx white and silver sky, which are nearly double the price. I would really recommend that mate. Would really love to be validated by the way. Cheers
  23. Hey Adam, I havent ridden a ZOO! Lynx but i was looking at buying that frame If you click on Frames on TartyBikes, it tells you the wheelbase of the long and short versions. I have asked people about this frame and they have given positive feedback about strength and reliability. it is also a very reasonable price. I would recommend, from what i heard, that you get that bike.
  24. Hey. I ride a Monty 219 Alp right now, and i'm upgrading it a lot. I would like it to be as good as a Rockman Manus or Echo lite 09. to me, Koxx bikes seem too expensive compared to other bikes which are just as good. on Tarty bikes, it says on all the Koxx bikes that it is recomended that riders are under 70KG's in weight. Now to me, that sounds as if the bikes are slightly weak. By the way, i would love to get validated, could you guys help me out? i have posted a lot on many forums. Thanks a lot.
