  1. Fingers crossed eh! Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
  2. Good advice, thank you. I'll keep that all in mind. Should this bike have already gone, what else should I search for?
  3. I've requested some photos but the listing is as follows: "26" Wheels - all true and straight. Light new, barely used. only used in the garden for balance improvement. no hopping about on it ever. magura hydros, alex rims, maxxis tyres, single speed" What would you suggest changing from stock other than the Vs to Mags?
  4. Hello, Over the years I've had many bikes including a 24" DMR and an Onza T-Pro. My key issue with both bikes was the wheel size. The 24" I used for dirt jumping and street nonsense, the Onza was supposed to be my stepping stone into learning trials and whilst I learnt a lot on it, I was never truly comfortable on the tiny wheels; this is the reason I have never gotten into BMX bikes. I am however completely competent and comfortable on a 26" mountain bike so I figured this would be the way to go on the trials scene. Life story over, I'd like to know some entry level bikes I can look into, new or second hand. I won't discuss budget as that'll keep it open to suggestions but I'm not looking for a top flight, pro model bike. I've seen a 2nd hand Phase Mad 1.2 26" listed on PB and after giving the bike a Google it looks fine. Is this the sort of thing I should be looking for or should I avoid them completely? All help appreciated, thank you.
  5. I do indeed, but I also get an hour and a half's worth of "lunch break" which is pretty pointless to take over night seeing as everywhere is closed. But there is some lovely terrain around my work! And no, I don't work for LB! Yeah there is indeed CCTV, but they didn't seem to have an issue with me skating...
  6. God, Twitter is awful!!
  7. I have the option of sitting in my office and doing my job, or riding outside at 2am when it's as quiet as hell! Riding is going to happen. Only thing is, gotta ride from Waterloo to Bank which is like a good couple of miles or so, on an 18:12, 20" bike... FUN! NAHHHT. I might take it on a bus and repeatedly shout, "BUT IT'S f**kING SMALLER THAN A PRAM!!!" until the driver backs down and drives on! Haha, I'll sort something out! Skitch a taxi or whatever
  8. First thing you need to decide is what you can afford, then weigh up your options going on that!
  9. I used to race downhill, went over the handlebars on a fast section landed ridiculously and cracked a vertebrae in my neck. Never felt pain like it. Got air lifted to hospital but I passed out as the helicopter was landing so I can't remember my one and only time in a helicopter!! Something my Father still likes to remind me off as often as he can. Arse haha! Made a full recovery though, missed the rest of the season but there we go. Neck now crunches which is fun to do in a small lift!
  10. Then I owe George6512 an apology! Still not bang on my trials brands!!
  11. I think you mean, Onza, dude!
  12. The bird has v mounts on the frame and I'm not 100% if you can mount a mag onto it... phone Tarty, they'll be able to answer your questions!
  13. 18 front freewheel. 12 rear sprocket.
  14. Should I ever eat Asda's ring doughnuts ever again?!?!
  15. Spot on! I also get moronic little teenagers going "Oi mate, iz that sum kind ov BMX??" Oh no no child, now run along and go back to mugging pensioners or vandalising bus stops... whatever it is you do.
  16. Loads of you have awesome jobs!!! I especially like the sound of jet ski's... wonder if I can convince work I need one as transport... rag it up and down the Thames!! Oh and Mr Spelling 2010... your signature, geniOus doesn't have an O in it... genius
  17. Geometry Wheelbase: 1010mm Chainstay Length: 360mm BB Rise: 45mm Pro - Excellent value 20" wheel trials bike from Onza, ideal for beginner or fast learning riders. - High grade 7005-T6 aluminium frame with rear disc mount, integrated chain tensioners and head tube reinforcing gussets. - Tough Onza cromoly forks with disc brake mount. - Powerful Onza cable disc brakes front and rear, a massive breakthrough at this price point, ensuring predictable and reliable braking in all conditions. - Onza single wall front rim and double wall rear rim, drilled to reduce weight, 20" front and 19" rear. - Maxxis Creepy Crawler tyres, 20 x 2.0" front and 19 x 2.5" rear. - T-Pro crankset fitted with light weight bashring and 18T Tensile freewheel with 60 engagement points for maximum pedalling response. - Bash/ski-plate fitted as standard. - Onza cromo riser 31.8mm trials handlebar. - Onza alloy 31.8mm stem to reduce weight. - New Onza caged pedals. - 12T screw on sprocket on the rear hub, running 18-12 gear ratio. - Seatless design to reduce weight and increase stand over clearance. - Gloss sky blue frame and forks, both with white Onza logos. - Weight: Approx 11kg including pedals. Geometry (to be confirmed) Wheelbase: 1020mm Chainstay Length: 350mm BB Rise: 70mm Not a massive difference. Geometry is different, weigh about the same. Pro just has better parts and smaller ratio drivetrain thanks to the FFW!. Bird is aesthetically better in my opinion though!! Maybe save yourself £100 and buy a HS33 from ebay for the rear? But you will then have to shell out for a FFW at some point because they are worth it. S'why I suggest going with the Pro!
  18. To be honest mate, if you're worried about your bike being stolen then don't take it with you! How long are you staying there for? Won't be the end of the world to just keep it safe at home for a week or so! If you're 6'4 you're less of a target. Keep yourself to yourself and try and stick to a positive mental attitude - but at the same time be vigilant and don't be drawn into a confrontation because one on one you stand a chance, but these kids never play by those rules. Before you know it you'll be in over your head and it's really not worth it. What's more important, swallowing your pride, keeping your face and looking after your Nan - or standing up to them and potentially ending up very hurt, or worse. Good luck, make a topic when you're back so we know you haven't been shot or something haha!
  19. If you can afford it, go for the Pro!
  20. "Where are you from blud?!" Uhm well not from here, I'm looking after my nan- "Pussy'ole gimme your f@#!ing phone now or I'll shank you, yagetme" Seriously... Lived in this area for 18 years... seen the lot. They have no regard for anything or anyone. I completely 100% understand JL's concerns/fears.
  21. I work in the IT department of a German bank in central London. I look after the bank's global financial servers and networks. 24 hour support so I often work over night!! The rest of the time I'm Batman.
  22. Make sure it's fitted correctly... it's probably just worked a little loose due to using it, (I'm assuming you bought the 1.3 new here). Tighten it up good n proper... if that fails then there's no harm going to your local bike shop and having a word with their mechanic!
  23. We've all seen Hot Fuzz... everyone and their Mum's are packing heat in the country side...
