My right foot is my strong foot but my left foot is my front foot when riding. It means I perform a half pedal to get my right foot forward to put the power down getting the front wheel up etc - but I'm really uncomfortable doing endos and hops with my right foot forward. For street stuff it's okay as I just start a little further back to allow for the half stroke before the power kick. I just feel it might inhibit my ability to perform anything with any real precision. Anybody else had this problem? How'd you get over it? I feel it's a little "old dog new tricks" to change my riding style drastically as I've been riding the same way for 21 years now! Any help and advice is appreciated.

Ride With Danny MacAskill competition closes tomorrow - open to everyone of any riding ability. I'm sure you all know about it but it just popped up on my Facebook so I thought I'd share it with you all just in case!

Hey, Is it the same process as rubber grips, hairspray and speed? Cheers!

That's kinda like asking "Which jam is better, strawberry or raspberry?" They're similar but with some differences. If you can try them both on, they'll both fit a little differently and look a little different on your head. Also take their overall aesthetic into account as it is important. They pretty much are the same helmet though so it may potentially boil down to price.

Recons are amazing helmets! I owned one before upgrading to a POC Trabec after coming off my AM bike quite spectacularly in Wales! I have a 62.5cm head and it fitted me perfectly! The only other helmet near that price I would recommend is the Fox Flux.

Got my bike back. Rides like a dream and the hub sounds incredible!! Brake squeal is a bit mental but I'll get used to it! -

Unfortunately chaps I won't be getting my bike back today. Safe to say I'm livid. -

I've never been there before I don't think. I'm definitely up for it as long as I get my bike back! I can text you tomorrow Mitch to confirm as and when I'm on two wheels but don't let that stop you meeting up with Diego ahead of me and going to a pedal! -

Well I've not had a phone call so I'm gonna have to try in the morning and hope for the best. Nothing to stop you two heading out and me meeting up with you. I have Mitch's mobile number now so finding you wouldn't be too much of a ballache. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow too. Ideally we need somewhere not too busy as I'm not sure about your level of riding but I'm definitely a beginner! You two arrange something and I'll let you know in the morning whether I'll be attending! Fingers crossed. -

From Sutton I can get to Victoria pretty easily. The district line is a good idea as you can take your bike on the district line out of peak hours. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/tube-map-bicycles1b.pdf Here's the TFL's map of where you can take your bike on the tube. As I've said it's all down to whether or not I get my bike back today, hopefully tomorrow morning. If I hear nothing today I'll be phoning the shop at 9am tomorrow to find out!! -

It's all down to whether or not I get my bike back from the shop. Otherwise I'd just be jumping around like some parkour wannabe making loud squeaking noises to emulate the brakes!! -

To be honest there's PLENTY in central London to ride so we can definitely make something of it. -
I've had my right arm rebuilt and my right hand rebuilt from various sporting injuries. I too ride alone and it does suck but at the same time it's nice to just have that personal time y'know. Have you tried looking on here for riders near you? I posted a topic and have made contact with a London based rider who I plan on going for a ride with at some point!

It seems like an awful lot of you did loads of riding when you were younger (14-17) then stopped for various educational reasons and slowly got back into it. Pretty much what I'm doing and it makes me feel less foolish!!

Completely agree. As long as you're enjoying yourself right! Yeah I enjoy the alone time to a degree. It lets me practise etc. so that if/when I start to ride with a group of people I will feel comfortable and not feel like the prize bellend they're all secretly laughing at!

It's actually really well lit at night and it's so quiet that you don't get in anyone's way! Surprisingly I'm not a vampire and get the correct amount of vitamin D, haha!! I tend to do a 3 on 3 off shift pattern.

If I could have planned my life out I would have gotten into trials riding when I was 15, not when I was 25. That's mainly because at the age I am now, as much as I know I'll enjoy learning to ride trials and it's a new challenge, I'd love to have 10 years under my belt. That said though I do have 20 odd years of general riding under my belt thanks to my Father and I feel I am a more than competant cyclist. What age did you start to focus on trials riding and how far do you think you've come since then? I'm also intrigued as to what everyone does for a living and how it inhibits upon your riding time. I'm an operations analyst in a German bank, working in central London. This involves working 12 hour shifts and often overnight. It does however open up the opportunity to ride London in the middle of the night duing my "lunch break." It also gifts me sporadic days off between shifts that I can utilise for one of my various hobbies and passions. Sadly, adult life has gotten the better of me what with work, bills and all the responsibilities of running a household. I do strive however to make as much time for myself as possible, to maintain a healthy lifestyle and enjoy what I have now. The only really bummer is that I ride alone, (something I hope this forum might be able to change.) None of my friends are into riding particularly and the ones that are ride fixies. So... tell me about yourselves?

So due to boredom and sheer annoyance at having to wait to get my bike back to ride, I've done some research into the stock version of the bike Vs what I bought off ebay. Chainset: Suntour Duro Trials crankset with ISIS spline BB set Brakes: Magura HS 33 hydraulic rim brakes Tyres: Maxxis High Roller super tacky compound Wheels: Alex trials rims and Formula hubs Gears: SRAM 3.0 8 speed rear gear Shifters: SRAM trigger shifter Frame: Professional MAD team design Alloy 7005 frame with an alloy front fork Geometry: 1075mm wheelbase, 5mm bottom bracket rise, 72.5¾ head angle This is the spec off the website, 2x2worldwide.com and something has immediately jumped out at me from the eBay listing. "Formula hubs." So when Mr eBay said he'd bought an, "£80 rear hub that hasn't been ridden." I think he was telling big fat porkies... hence my new wheel build. That aside though I think the fact that the forks, front wheel and drivetrain have been upgraded isn't necessarily a bad thing given the price I got it for. I think it will need new rubber soon and I might want to adjust the stem/handlebar setup. All a learning curve eh! I really don't want to wait a week to get my bike back... I can feel the bank holiday weekend going to waste. Might just sit on the floor and have a tantrum! -
