    Me and my bike.
  4. You can get Vegas Movie Studio HD for less than $50 and HD Platinum for less than $100. It won't have all the same features as the Vegas Pro but it's still sufficient for any basic editing you could need to do with it. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware

  6. It records to MPEG2 so it'll be easiest to just convert it to a WMV or AVI. I use a program called SUPER developed by erightsoft for all my conversions but it's a bit complicated to explain. I just found this program that looks extremely simple that you might give a whirl. http://www.jakeludington.com/windows_media/20071210_how_to_convert_mpeg_to_wmv.html If you feel the burnin yearnin to learn SUPER have a look at this thread. It's essentially the same thing as your problem but with different video resolution and bitrate. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=153698&st=0&p=2155131&fromsearch=1&#entry2155131
  7. Isn't this what the top 38 pages of reviews on this forum are for? http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=41481
  8. Cargo shorts and a t-shirt + lots of sunscreen for me.
  9. switching from bicycle to motorcycle is a bit strange but I learned bicycle way before motorcycle so it's more rooted in my mind. I'd end up on my face if I switched the levers around.
  10. Wait, y'all run them with front on the right in the UK?
  11. That makes no sense. My peeve is people who can't properly park their own car. I'll see them driving around through the parking lot and they end up with half their rear end over the line, etc.
  12. Download the SUPER program and set it up with these settings. To put your video file in the program you can just drag it to the empty box at the bottom. Also, if you want to make the conversion a bit more precise and you're running Windows 7 (vista might work too) copy one of the video files from your camera to your computer. Right click on the video file, click properties, click the details tab at the top, Once you have all the settings clicked correctly just press the Encode button at the bottom. If for some reason it gives you an error you can try clicking the "DirectShow Decode" button near the top right and try again. I believe by default the program outputs files to C:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER\OutPut. And yes, Sony Vegas is credit to team.
  13. The snare seemed really loud in comparison to the other instruments to me. I'm far from a musical expert, though.
  14. Are you saying once you've exported it from WMM it has poor quality? If that's the case then you just need to export with the correct settings. Since it's HD you will either export at 1280x720 or 1920x1080. Generally, editing programs will call it something like "X.X Mbps HD 720-30p" or similar. the "X.X" Mbps is what matters. The higher the bitrate the less compression of the video footage but also the larger the video file will be. If your camcorder records interlaced footage (1080i for example) you will need to deinterlace as well. I haven't used WMM in ages so I can't give specific directions. If you're saying that you need to convert the video format in order to work with WMM then I would highly recommend a customizable program like SUPER ( http://www.erightsoft.biz/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe ). With this you can choose the bitrate and resolution, etc. I can walk you through it but I'd have to know the camera's recording format first.
  15. Happy Late 4th! Down with the Brits! Ahahaa! 'murica...

  16. I was thinking about this same type of situation yesterday. It seems like it could be quite a funny scenario if someone tried to ride off on a bike with such low gearing. A quick chase and a tackle could make things interesting.
  17. From the album: 2010 Onza Zoot

Image from a film I am working on to document my first year of riding.
  18. Name: Gareth Age: 19 Location: Texas Bike: 2010 Onza Zoot Trick in Practice: My goal by the end of the summer is to be able to trackstand, rear wheel hop, and cleanly, as well as consistently, climb obstacles of at least two feet; this includes sidehopping. I don't get my bike until tomorrow but you can bet as soon as I can get it out of the box and assembled that it's going to start happening.
  19. I assume the work experience thing is some kind of UK school program? My junior year of high school I worked at a Taco Cabana for six months. It was an enlightening and horrible experience at the same time. So many illegal things in that work environment but I was too young and eager for money at the time to care.
  20. Howdy folks, I'm Gareth and I'm 19. I live in Austin, Texas, US of A. I have never ridden trials before. I used to mountain bike back in high school but I started losing interest and became lazy. I want to get back into shape and get back my cycling interest so I ordered a Onza Zoot from the folks at Tarty bikes and I hope to start riding again within the next week or two. I've noticed that a lot of the American interest in trials seems to have faded away and I see dead forums/ websites with 5 year-old posts. I figure I can try to live with some UK fellas for a while, though.
