  1. Finally got to doing something on the new Civic this afternoon. Side skirts removed to reveal the cleanest sills I’ve ever seen on a 96-00 Honda Civic. Over the moon. Also got the front end off and gave everything a de-grease and steam clean in prep for two small patches that need welding into the inner wings. I hope to get the dash board and all the associated wiring out over the coming week in preparation of swapping the current coupes wiring in when the time comes. There is differences in the wiring in these cars being different ages and I want to avoid buying another K swap conversion loom at almost £400.. Fuel and brake lines to remove along with the fuel tank before I cut out the spare wheel well and flat floor it to mount the swirl pot and pumps.
  2. Clio looks fantastic Dan! Be worth the hard work and effort when it’s working for sure. I looked round the replacement coupe today. It’s good but I’m unsure if I want to track it. Would make an excellent everyday car with a B16/B18 in which could be done at little cost and leave me with enough funds to keep on searching for a DC2 to plonk the K into. Decisions decisions.
  3. Fat Fives are quite desireable over here and not often seen in the classifieds. Already got a bidding war going on them I get it tomorrow and will be going over it throroughly Friday evening. Looking forward to getting stuck into a bit of a project again. A few plans for it before my K swap goes in! Work wise, my Honda side of it, has been upcoming too. Currently mid-strip down and inspection of a B16B out of a friends EK9 Type R I’m rebuilding. Very tired Engine this.. Recovered another lads Civic Jordan last night too. Poor chaps only had it 24 hours and the head gaskets gone. Very clean shell though and the standard B16a2 has been adorned with EK9 pistons to bump up the C.R and EK9 cams to match! B18 high compression engine for the blue CRX is in planning and nearing a start, potential B16 Turbo on the cards and two K series gearboxes to build up with M Factory LSDs and Carbon syncros. In my element
  4. I’ve not purchased an Integra (yet) but I’ve just bought this for £300. No engine/box but it’s rust free, comes with rare Civic EG alloys, Coilovers, EP3 Seats and an exhaust I don’t need.. Alloys - £100 Seats - £70-£80 Exhaust - £90.00 Un-needed bits of old civic -£120 = Making money on a re-shell! Over the moon. This means I can weld a roll cage in and get serious with it.. leaving me to enjoy a DC2 as it should be. I.E mostly original!
  5. One month of 306 Diesel Turbo ownership over. Driven it twice, don’t like it
  6. I did a clean and a paint. Cars really healthy at the minute, loves the cold weather
  7. Nothing wrong with Rotas in my eyes. All the Honda brand snobs pay upwards of £1k on fancy wheels like Rays, Volks, SprintHarts, Spoon etc... all very nice but I’d rather ruin a set of £300 Rotas on track than posh ones. Even if they’re not damaged in track tyre changes are regular and that in itself can take its toll on painted edges.
  8. Be awesome for us TF lot to get to trackday somewhere this summer...
  9. Haha, got a track day late February at Cadwell and then Rockingham track time for Mimms Honda Show just before Oulton too. Half tempted to keep saving for a nice complete DC2 and really get the use out of the Civic for most of the year, with a view to swapping it all over October time.
  10. Oulton Park booked for July... better crack on and get a replacement for the coupe sorted!
  11. Been dreading works late Christmas/early new year do on the 29th. Always gets too messy and ends in a fight. Completely forgot that it’s me mothers birthday on the 29th until now so Ive made plans for her instead. Bullet dodged. Result hahaha
  12. I’d f**k euro off and see if someone does a single mass conversion kit for your car mate. 306 has thrown an interesting development my way. Raised it on the lift to perform exhaust surgery ( ruined it, silencer goes back on tomorrow ) and the axle was hanging down by the two forward most bushes only, the rear ones have just peeled off from the backings haha. Great.
  13. I absolutely love it. £250.00 and it’s in great shape, the list of what it’s had done over the years is massive. It’s had anything it’s ever needed. I fixed the boost leak tonight: Proper bodged, factors don’t list that seal. Chopped a bit out, filled groove with silicone, replace cut seal shortened to suit, smear sealant round inlet, fit. 100% leak free haha. Twiddled with the rpm limit in an effort to make it less restricted by lack of fuel up top, and wound the boost fuel compensator valve out a turn too. It really takes off now! Hilariously fun for an old diesel. Need to pop in a boost gauge to make sure I’m below 20psi, anything above and things start breaking. Already looking at different turbos and a Bosch pump for more boosts Powerflow rear box is coming out in favour of the 2.5” stainless tube I’ve found to fill the gap for more turbo diesel whistles
  14. Its not so much a "must find a relationship" job. Im not fussed on that front, happens when it happens. More worried when I do meet someone who I could see something developing with and not going for it because of a shit experience in the past. Be reet I guess
  15. D-Turbo daily is awesome. Already fiddled with the wastegate and fuel pump and it goes well, but now it boosts properly it’s made a boost leak aparrent that needs fixing. Otherwise I love it.
  16. No longer teenage (unfortunately) but it seemed the most appropriate thread. In true possibility of just being a pussy, I can’t get past the trust issues my last relationship left me with and it’s really getting to me recently. Learning of how she played me and f**ked around behind my back has just left me with a head full of doubt and I don’t want it to happen again. Had loads of real good opportunities that have gone tits up because my head just shouts “no no no no” and it gets forgotten. Fed up. Winds me up because all my mate have suggested just getting my dick wet and forgetting about it, but it doesn’t work. A one night stand is well and good but anyone I see a potential relationship with I just panic and it’s a wright off.
  17. I’ve just had a read up on what sort of a job the heater matrix is on a 306.
  18. Off the shelf items will suffice for the moment, I don’t just trust my fabrication skills for such a vital component just yet haha. I’ve been doing some sums and I can make back a decent amount from what I have left of the Civic that I won’t be using/can’t use on the Integra.
  19. I admire your persistence to see that I buy a DC2. Although it’s the more costly option (needing new mounts/loom to accommodate the K20 and different control arms) it’s the most likely replacement, yes.
  20. Bagged myself another 306! X-R D Turbo. Stainless custom exhaust, nicely made. GTI-6 wheels Bilstein front shocks/springs & rear shocks Completely rot free 10 months MOT £250.00! Needs a heater matrix but theyre not bad to replace and ive got a brand new one for the sum of £19.00. Stripping the Civic to replace the shell so this means Im not in a rush to get it done in a weekend as Ive done in the past.. although Id like it done within the next 4 months if possible in time for the summer track season. Drives real nice too. Bosch pump is easily wound up, wastegate easily made to remain closed for longer.... Might go for a track day or two in it while the weathers kack as well.
  21. Loads of cool underground bars. We ended up paying about 500kc each to go on a bar crawl on Thursday just to go to the first place and enjoy 3hrs of free drinks. Real cool space with a awesome atmosphere and decent music too. The bars that followed were ace too. 500kc works out at about £16.00 odd dependant on exchange rate so there’s plenty of time in 3 hours to get the drink down you to make it worth it haha.
  22. Watched back a video a mate took of the Civic going into Hall Bends last time out and it proper tri-pods with a little trail braking haha. Back wheel gets up much more than I expected given its relatively soft spring rates (does have a beefy rarb mind). Bitten the bullet and bought a set of clutch plates with a view to rebuilding my diff in the new year too, never rebuilt one so it’ll be learning curve.
  23. I dare say we probably passed each other haha, I only got back Sunday evening.
