No, you're just going to extremes. Why not punish them and then perhaps they'll see the error of their ways. The school is clearly at fault for not dealing with it. Most people I would assume have bullied someone at some point. But you come to realise how wrong it is because people tell you its wrong. If no-one takes any action against you you're not going to change are you. Some people are just nasty and thats the way they are, the majority of people, I think, are just poorly educated or from really harsh backrounds and dont know any better. If I wasnt brought up to know that stealing/vandalising/morris dancing was wrong then I would probably not think twice about doing them. Maybe we should try and get back on topic a bit? I feel like we're taking this thread in a whole different direction to the way it started now. Its got potential and I dont want to be responcible for turning it into yet another chav-based rant-a-thon (Y)

Erm maybe its just me but dosnt anyone else see how truly stupid that comment is? You cannot justify killing people because you dont like the type of person they are. There seems to be a lot of hate directed at Chav's in this thread. The Nazi's did not have a good ideas. Wiping out all the chavs/jews/immigrants in this country is not a cure for any of our problems (other then overcrowding (Y) ). One of the disadvantages of being a successful country is that you're good reputation will make you more appealing then other countries. We have the 3rd (I think) biggest/best economy in the world, so if you're an immigrant looking for work thats going to look pretty good, plus we have free healthcare as you mentioned. I'm not against immigration in anyway, i'm in favour of it. Its been mentioned by several polititions on various boring news programs that immigration is actually good for the UK economy and makes more then a couple of million a year. Its easy to scapegoat Immigrants as a certain type of british person seems to like blaming everything on dirty foreiners. Illegal Immigration is a different matter, if people have been denied access here they should be deported immediatly, the system is a mess at the moment, but its uber-hyped up by the media (notice how its always asylum seekers 'flooding' or 'swarming' the country in the headlines and conveiniently no figures mentioned) Erm... i think i've strayed from the point.... Yup, that would certainly work. It would be good to see more policemen actually on the street doing something, its very rare to see a 'bobby on the beat' now. We should get rid of street wardens (Who have the power to ...er...call the police) and employ more actual coppers. It would make a difference for people to see policemen out and about doing something rather then the odd one driving past in a car. Harsher punishments gets a thumbs up in my view too, halving the sentance for good behavior is rubbish, prisioners should serve the full sentance they are given. I agree, death is final and if you kill someone by accident theres no bringing them back. For that reason alone I am against the death penalty. But also the death sentance woud be an easy way out as George say's. I would much rather they suffer for the pain/damage they've caused. Thats too far I think. Again if someone is wrongly convicted and you've just lobbed off they're hands, what are you going to do then, how is that good justice? You're just becomming as bad as the criminals. What about someone who has done something minor, are you going to give them a mild beating? You wont solve crime with violence as the criminals will just resent the justice system even more, at least if you treat them with basic rights they can have no grudge agaist you. Ive written way too much. MrMonkey, its good to see you speak your mind and some of your points have been controversial but very good (this may be the first thread of yours i've thought is really decent (Y) ). However some of the thing's you've said you should be ashamed of really. I'm not trying to have a go at you but you should be able to see that a comment like "the nazi's had some good idea's" when referring to the extermination of millions of innocent people is totally out of order.

Dont see the need for birthdays to be notified as surely anyone who actually cares/needs to know its your birthday will already know (family, friends etc..). I dont see the need for a whole load of random people on a forum to know when its my birthday, if I want people to know i'll tell them myself.

Its not because they're supposed to be better in any way, because they're not. But the SM forum is a restricted forum with a limited amount of members, therefore it is far easier to maintain a nominations thread of that nature then it would be in here where there are hundred's (maybe thousands?) of people who all have the ability to post in any thread that was set up.

Possibly, but then somebody's got to check all the posts, which means even more work. The system at the moment works fairly well, if everyone could nominate NM's in a thread in here it would create a big workload for the people who have to check through all the posts and validate people. Not to mention that people would just nominate all their mates anyway (I know I would :ermm: ) so it would be a bit biased.

Biketrials came from Mototrials, and the first biketrials bike was a Monty Mod. I dont know who first had the idea of using a mtb for trials, probably just progressed from pulling wheelies and stuff. I think Onza deserve a lot of credit for the popularity of Mod bikes, as they offer some pretty good value bikes, and most of the mod riders around are on one. Mods are easier to ride too, so they're more appealing to beginners.

I think you'll find as soon as its slightly wet he'll have the last laugh though. I wouldn't have thought black pads on a clean rim would give good power consistantly, maybe when the rim is uber clean, but who wants to have to clean their rim all the time? If you want decent power get decent pads, if you want decent power consistantly in all conditions you will need a grind.

Yeah, I think its because the bashguard end is sitting on the spider/chainring so its closer to the camera, making it appear bigger. Quite a few people did get their Zebdi's replaced for free, including me. That was before they changed the warenty though.

So its OK to describe people in terms of hight or mood, but not race? I think its time everyone realised that people are different. Its not bad to describe someone as black so long as its not in an offensive way. You can say that we are all 'people', but the fact is we are all different types of people. Thats rubbish. The moment racism will no longer exist will be when no-one is descriminated against because of their race. Describing a person as black is not descriminating, its just describing them. Some people judge people by their race,and it is these people that are the problem, not the classification of the race of people.

In a way you have a point, in that if they did all stop reproducing then the population would go down. But then what about the next generation? What happens when everyone has become too old to work and there is no-one left to take over? You could argue that there could be a birth-limit or something, but that would take people to enforce it etc..... The purpose of being alive is to reproduce. To carry on your family genes or whatever. You cant just say people should volantarily not have sex anymore, because although its easily said, its not realistic in the real world. Look at the situation here, we have readily available contraception, everyone is educated about the dangers of unprotected sex. But yet there is still a high rate of teenage unwanted pregnancies and abortions. People find it hard to resist their body's sexual urges in this country, which is aparently civilised, think what it must be like in poorer countries. Perhaps you should also consider that not all these sexual encounters are going to to consentual either.

Then why put the 'cheeky remark' in. If you want a reply to your question why not just put that and leave the cheekiness out. Maybe with out the immature comments in some of your posts this would have been more of a constructive debate?

I wouldnt bother with the suspension forks, as they probably will mess with the geometry. Just get some beefier rigid forks. If I remember correctly the Giant forks that come with that frame are rather skinny curved pashley-copy things that wont really cope with harsh street / dirt riding.

Yeah i know. My point wasnt that Danny was better then TRA. Waynio was saying that Danny cried when he was losing, and he seemed to be basing that argument on the assumption that TRA had beaten him at Tech04. Which he didnt. I was just trying to use some evidence to back up my point.

People seem to have this idea that because he does well at competitions Danny Butler is super serious all the time. He seems fairly laid back at YMSA rounds. Maybe if some members knew what they were talking about before they opened there mouths this place wouldnt have the uber bitchy reputation it does.

Its a pretty good idea to get the guy's phone number before the goods are sent, that way there isnt the sudden panic after your goods dont turn up and you realise you cant call them (Y) As George says its not anyone on here's responsibility to sort it out, he should have organised himself before sending the stuff. Threads like this are how people get bad reputations, as some members tend not to read the thread through. (Obviously there are those who deserve bad reps too)

Puncture protection is pretty good, you should be OK. Grip however is crap if your on street, so be carefull.
