Here with some pics. 1. Strip the frame down I know this may seem simple but a mate of mine thought it would be a good idea to spray his frame without taking any bits off. Yeah - it was shite. Put tape on the headset cups and on the inside of the bb thread, or put in an old bb. 2. Remove all the existing paint using any means necessary This can be quite difficult, if you're repainting you can just sand the frame down. If you're after the stainless look you may have to use paintstipper 3. Sand the frame down i. With rough sandpaper ii. With smooth sandpaper Leave a rasonabily cause finish will help the paint 'stick' 4. Laquer the frame 2 coats approx 700ml, proping the frame will allow you spray without requiring you to switch the frame. Maintain a minimum spraying disptance of 30cm (12 inches) to ensure paint does not run, allow to dry thoghrougly before the next coat. 5. Apply main coat >3 coats, 1 litre of paint is required (I ran out) Again ensure you maintain a minimum distance, don't become impatient you will need about an hour between coats for it to work properly or you may ruin your look. 6. Apply decals Think carefully about positioning, remember to wait for the paint to dry thoroughly before applying stickers or decals, and ensurre they line up both sides 7. Apply a clear laquer At least 2 coats 700ml it's queit difficult to see the laquer so ensure you are smooth and methodical. Done! So? Was it worth it? You can get your bike frame stripped at painted from argos cycles from about £40, I spent £25 in paint and about 10 hours, I was impatient and the layers haven't adhered together properly, I may have another go.. but this time I'll get the professionals in.

Thanks Bennifier. I think Simon just doesn't like me. (N) True, I certainly do not think I'm the god on the computer by a long shot, I've just got a bit experience in certain areas of HTML, C++, PHP. The stuff I have learnt and experienced in computing has been great and I've really enjoyed the last 2 years of my A level computing course and I'm really looking forward to starting my uni degree where I can hopefully learn the real 'meat' of the subject. As for the C++ gaming, that's something I would love to do, but it is so competitve. I'd love to work on a team project or something like that. I've applied for several IT based jobs with no success, they all cite my lack of experience so I've never been invited for an interview. I'm trying to obtain some experience they require and may be build some sort of portfollio. There are some great people in IT, during my work experience I met some guys with real drive and vision, I think a little of that has rubbed off on me, so I'm not going to let these set backs knock me.

Laziness, I suppose I could write my own content management system... but I have neither the time or the inclination. I've learn't my lesson about phpnuke: it's about as secure as 20 sent stapled to a postcard. I fancy a dabble flash and actionscript now, mmm.

I have that exact camera and you don't need the cd if you're running 2000 or xp, just use the cable supplied, plug it in and it will appear as a mass storage device. The cd is only for the finepix software which is crap anyway.

You might even say it's a cascading style sheet. (N)"

meh, someones already written the script. But if this was a commission I probably would write it in php. Stu, the site is good by the way, I think a css for the site would be a nice finishing touch. The CSS will allow you to use a font(s) of your choice and your own style Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, Trebuchet MS, Sans-Serif, Georgia, Courier, Times New Roman, Serif - all good (Y)

There's nothing wrong with that, but many websites use form handler scripts so the server mails it instead of the client. eg. action="mailto:you@yourdomain.com" is replaced with action = "http://yourdomainname.com/formhandlerscript.pl" but the form handler script needs to be set up. The mailto method may not work on some systems, and bear in mind some people may not have a mail client.
-
Yeah, in certain versions of the AOL browser some tags have been disabled by default. You're right, you will need a form handler, the best by far, which I have used myself is Matts Form Mail. Edit: This is a cgi script so I hope you are able to use cgi on your server, follow the instructions in the package To enable users from search engines to use our toolbar the site uses a php script to check if there is a top frame present, if not it stores the current page and loads the top frame.

In light of my site closing due to crappy servers I have some time to kill before uni. Anyway I would like to offer my services, I can do pretty much anything in terms of website maintainannce and design. I'm fluent in PHP and SQL and know a fair bit of Java and HTML etc. Basically everything to set up a site. Also any C++ projects you want a hand with I can do that too. The only thing I can't do is the photoshop stuff. So, to sum up, any web based stuff you want doing. We can discuss rates and your requirements case-by-case. Qualifications: mtbFreeride.co.uk / SuttonFreeride.co.uk / SuttonFreeride.com 1999-2005 A Level Computing Science BSc Computer Science commencing shortly PM with any questions or to find out more details, thanks.

What??? To do any science in a decent uni you need maths, I'm glad I did maths, although it was hard at least I'll have a real A level. Dunno what uni I'm going to, wait 'till results come out :)

I think edexcel chemistry accounts for at least 20 suicides a year. I'm having a searious Tweak moment. Having said that I did AQA physics at AS and did shite... nice work with the A, looking forward to August?

My mate has an a3 (joys of company cars!) very nice. And I didn't realise that the sound system was so good! Standard bose set-up the sound was crystal clear and subwoofer was very active (for all the right bits)

Hi there, I'm starting uni in September (hopefully) and really have developed a thing for playing the guitar, but I thought before I splash the cash I better get a few opinions. I've always wanted to play the guitar but never really had the time or the inclination. But now I have got the time and the will. I don't want to be a loser who spends £200 on gear that I use for about a week. So... Do you play the guitar? Was it easy to pick up? How much music knowledge do you need (cos I have none)? What's the best way to learn? Cheers

probably, but bear in mind that Tesco was selling GTA SA over a week early when it came out on the PlayStation. Dunno how binding the release date is.
-
I've wasted to much time with this: trust Rockstar to release it in the middle of exams!

I know there's a trick to get out of the speed guns... dunno if it works though, something to do with the calibration, legal stuff. Try searching ebay.

d/ling the video now. I've been with mates who've done this and even though it's not big and it's not clever, it's fooking hilarious. My mate took it a bit far when he threw a McDonalds milkshake over some pissed dude, he thought some bird had shat on him! I agree that it's only funny cos they can't get you. But another mate of mine made the mistake of driving past the same group of people three times, my mates had water but they had stones - yeah . Result: Smashed window. (Y) maybe they got what they deserved?

Think I might order some too, you cant get mellow yellow over here either
-
Seconded, I used them and saved £500 from the nearest offer. What's weird is that tesco, asda etc. All use Norwich Union to back their products which are often half the price of NU direct

The sprinters are good for reliablity and are pretty nippy too.
