    Magura 2014.

Exactly what I said the other day ! New plastic HS33 with radial piston and actual HS11/HS33 become futur HS11. Looks like bar clamp is plastic like actual HS11, I hope it's will be metal because plastic is shit.
  2. Maybe 24 hours I think ? It was just a "little" swollen, but enough to give bad return of lever ... Now the brake is ok !
  3. Yeah it's a good alternative for those who likes the feeling of water/antifreeze but wants to keep oil in the hydraulic system. It's of course thicker than water but thinner than Magura Blood. I had found a 1l bottle for about 13£ one year ago (cheaper than Magura Blood). Otherwise I noticed the other day that if you let a swollen piston air dry free it takes back its shape and it slides good again in the master cylinder.
  4. Do Echo still produce SL lever ?
  5. Yeah, I rarely see Hs33 on non-trial bikes, but it's a fact ... And bike is not their only market ... (motocycle, industry parts, ....)
  6. To illustrate what I was saying the other day (weeks ago) with Dave33 (I think ?) : Scratch in the bore wich cause the brake to leaks. Plus the way I opened the body we can't see the scratch "on the top and on the bottom of the bore". The left body was leaking a lot, the right a bit less. I change them about every 3 months. I have 05 hs33 but I prefer keeping them for competitions !
  7. I don't say you lie, I just don't understand. What Hs33 version do you use (05 or 11) ? 2 or 4 finger blade ? If it's a 11 one with a 4 finger lever blade I can understand because it has so much leverage that when you really force, it holds good even if grind/pads are bad.
  8. Trial represents a very small pourcentage of their market I don't think they will do it again just for us ...
  9. I want to believe you but everyone I met who rides all days (principally in natural) re-grind their rims AT LEAST once every 2 weeks. Most of them do it once a week, and some 2 times a week. After this 'period' brake become progressivly shit, it's still usable but it slips when you're on edges.
  10. Ok thanks ! Torx bolts and lever don't annoy me, but plastic clamps are pure shit ! As you said Dave they leak after 3 months ... This is their big problem. I've heard from pretty sure source that new HS33 were on the way ... Radial piston like 05 ones, but still in 'plastic' (carbotecture) so I imagine leaking problems will be still here. They would looks like MT disc brakes levers. Maybe these will become the HS33, and the actual HS33/HS11 will become the HS11 ? Only time will said ...
  11. Yeah I agree ! I don't understand Magura, they do strange things : I thought all things listed by Marko were only for the 2012/2013 HS11 (maybe because they want hs11 look and be "inferior" to the hs33 - they were exactly the same until this) BUT I've seen one 2012/2013 HS33 with torx bolts, plastic clamp and 'solid one piece' lever And I've also seen one 2012/2013 HS11 with normal hexagonal bolts, metallic clamp, but the lever with the insert in it. So what's wrong with them ? Do they really do what they want ? You can now buy a HS11 wich is almost (apart the colour and protection) a HS33 and vice versa ! Can some guy of Tartybikes (or another guy who notice it) explain it ?
  12. It has been said that if there is more rims, the price will be cheaper. I agree it's a bit expensive for the moment. If you ride in natural places, you can't stay with the same grind for a month. So ok maybe if you ride 4 times in a month and only in street when it's completly dry, it's not worth it, but for pepople like me who rides almost all day and often in bad conditions (mud, dust, ...) I think it's a good improvement. Only things I want to know is if it stay "sharp" with the time and if it's easy to clean the sidewalls when it's dirty.
  13. If there is mud or some crap on the sidewalls, how to clean ? Water ? or specific product ? And how can the surface stay sharp ? This is what I don't understand because brake pads tend to smooth the surface, isn't it ? If it works well I think it's a good evolution. I think I will give it a try someday. false argument With people like you we would ride even on trial bikes of the 90s.
  14. Yes no differences in terms of strenght but better look !
  15. Is it possible to do the whole body of HS33 (the collar is not done in the picture) ?
  16. Why don't you have wrapped the collar ?
  17. Ok thanks. It would be cool to put the drive system on the left for left footed riders.
  18. Why different Hs33 for rear and front brakes ???
  19. Old Try-all Hole rim (Nowar) hold grinds a bit better than the last Rockman rim (I mean the last made by Rockman). Don't ask me why, but I've had 3 or 4 Try-all Hole rims, and I have had 1 Rockman in October-November 2012 and Try-all were better than the Rockman. Also the sidewall on Rockman are smaller ("more difficult" to adjust the pad), but it's still a good rim K2 actually hold grind very well !! Like the old Try-all Hole I would say. And they are lighter. As you use the 'external' spoke hole, you'll have no problem to put high tension I recommand you K2 rear rim
  20. I had two of these, and they are crap (for grind). And I weighed them at 600 and 603g (+-2g). Get the new K2 : lighter, hold grind better and better looking

    Pavel's New Vid

When you're perfectly on an edge (gap to front) you don't especially need a amazing brake to stop you : the edge stops you ! The brake is just here to stop the wheel from spinning (and stop you a little bit but a lot lesssss than if your wheel was behind the edge). You can see it in the video : 34s and 1mn20s versus 2mn54s 3mn02s Otherway anybody knows how tall he is ?
  22. So what's the interest of doing 50/50 water-antifreeze bleed instead of 100% antifreeze ?
  23. Isn't antifreeze as fluid as water ? I personnally always use coolant liquid (those for cars), it's always worked great for me.
