    Pad Reviews

PADS Koxx Bloxx brown Time used: 6 Hours, including bedding them in Rim used: Onza Ronnie Tar? No Grind? Yes, medium Brake used Magura '03, plastic magura hosing, water bled, echo booster, 4 bolt mounting What is your opinion of a working brake? Something that'll under my weight and pressure and in wet weather. With a fair amount of bite, and noise. How do they compare to your previous pads? They have alot more hold and bite than my zoo pads with tar, and when used on a grind. Had alot more bite and alot hold than plasmatics on tar. More bite than Red koxx bloxx on a grind. Theyre also alot more solid. Review even though my koxx bloxx are still bedding in, and adjusting to the rim, they have ALOT more hold and bite than any other pad/rim combonation ive ever used before. They still work awesome in the wet.....they just have a little less bite, but still hold the same(ish) EDIT: Koxx bloxx red pads are the better pads IMO......Koxx Bloxx brown pads need tar to make them work good.

    Amatur Video.

I use Vegas 4.0 I did use Windows movie maker...which was really good...until one day it decided '' Nope. im not going to work''. But it twas good (Y)
  4. Onza T-lite? fairly short.....VERY flicky...but rides really nice. Mine lasted me 7months...it would have lasted longer but i abused it :-
  5. The NEW Ashtons are 1050 wb. Higher bb rise. Cheaper! Stronger BB area. Dunno about the mod though..... i can remember reading somewhere that is was about 1000 wb soo about the t-pro size
  6. Im sure they did do a mod frame...im very sure it was on the old brisa site :'(

    One Handers

:'( Just find the balnce point on back wheel. Then turn your wheel to the left..soo the bars come into your side. :( Take your hand off while still in this position in a smooth motion. :P Use your body, and arm if you like, to balance you out. :P Put your hand back on the bars. TIP: its hard to put your hand back on and grab onto the brake lever at the same time. :ermm: Turn your bars straight  Gap about as if it was nothing " :D
  8. first ive heard and seen them.... Is it a proto? Are they in production? Geo?
  9. But montys are still fairly weak, not as bad as the brisas' though. Try and stay away from them unless its the Nelson Reis signiture un...tis madde out of easton rad tubing..and its GOLD :'( Didnt all of the mod brisa frames come with the 135mm spacing?
  10. Its the paws and springs arent very strong. I know a few bmxers who broke them :- :) which you dont want (less leverage and theyre still breaking....think about it on a trials bike ;) (Y) :( )
  11. Not really...there is a kid on here who had his mod frame for a few weeks before it died( he had some glittery rim tape, blue koxx) cracked near the head tube. they have the same design (pretty much)..but id still say theyre equal in strength and quality. Even though Onza put the crappy annoying internal headsets in them
  12. ah. but red hubs fade :o lol. Its the same spec and quality except this un has a lot stronger axle, Ti driver...jus a little heavier...but i say ''meh'' to the weight of an awesome hub
  13. shouldnt maunel using your brake anyway if your good at manualling. But i see your point.
  14. go for a profile :) at the price of £106 you cant go wrong. theyre soo stiff and reliable..unlike a eno(bedding them in- skip alot, can come loose) the profile has an uber strong axle so itll fell solid on backwheel rather than all flexy like echo/onza/monty/viz/koxx hubs. also i profile wont try and eat your jeans
  15. I reckon Mods- Static gaps: 6' sidehops: 30" back wheeling(taps bunny hops) 35" Stock- Static gaps: 6' sidehops: 32'' back wheeling(taps, bunny hops) : 38"
  16. a brake with bite but lots mor hold. it has to be able to hold when the wheel movement is forwards and backwards with ease. Also it needs to work good in wet/damp/humid conditions. Im currently using a ronnie with a grind(and with bits broken off it!) with some red koxx bloxx. At first i thought they were ok, not as good as my zoo pads with a grind or no where near as good as my zoo pads with tar. but then all of a sudden they kicked in! best brake ive ever had that works in all weather, with no tar, and under immense amounts of pressure. But theyll only last about 2 months.
  17. ''Is that sh!t on your back or mud?'' ''You dont know this, but im takin a dump'' ''Someone is riding there mate'' just as you gap
  18. It looks like a good design....a slight copy of the Zoo! CLS un but with changes that onza seem to like- the bash plate, the internal headset. I hope they have used t-rex tubing....making it an uber strong uber rigid riding mod, just like its inspiration :( Personally the headtube puts me off the frame a little just because the bearings for them are so weak and rubbish from mine and others experiances.
  19. check to see the sidewall height of your rim as well. Check that the tyre is on properly. check your tube. Check the wheel build- is it egged?
  20. The toxsin frame rides really nice. Damon rides it well enough. IMO it rides better than the t-rex. but its still as stiff but lighter! There isnt any mod frames that look like it, or ride like it.
  21. i hate that frog The people who made it have sponged everything off it so why dont they does us a favour and die with the frog :(
