Dry lube is good for when the weather is................... dry I'm not sure I'd trust Monty oil though. Only muppets use WD40 or GT85 for chain lube. You might as well use water.

eBay? Nice bike, and nice title, stolen or not Have you noticed an improvement from your rear brake setup?

Shin Burgers For Dinner! Ok, I Need Some Shin Pads.
konstant replied to Slobert's topic in Trials Chat
I was planning on picking up some shin pads recently until I began hitting my right knee on the stem. Shins heal. Knees don't. A decent thwack to the patella is soo much more painful. And kneecaps takes ages to heal. It's been three weeks since and there's still some swelling. I bought some 661 Kyle Strait knee pads a couple of weeks ago. They're pretty big (and pricey), but they cover the knee really well plus a decent amount of shin. Also, as you improve, you'll learn to fall in a way that doesn't rape your shins. -
For a minute I was curious as to why you'd made such a detailed post about a popular web service. Then I saw your referral link at the bottom Nah seriously, Dropbox is brilliant. Had an account since 2008 and it saves the hassle of syncing shared folders and setting up adhoc wireless networks between all your machines. But don't forget that it stops syncing once you lose your connection.

The most flowing riding I've seen on a mod for aaaages. Like.

Can I Get A Lockring Off Without A Lockring Tool Thingy
konstant replied to willdudeXD's topic in Trials Chat
I'm going to say no. It's not like the tool's expensive... they're a fiver delivered on CRC iirc -
I'm glad to see this has turned into a Helvetica debate. +1 for watching the documentary - you should be able to find somewhere for free online. There is a time and a place for Helvetica and it's a shame that people are ruining the image of such an iconic typeface by using for everything. However, considering people in this thread are working for free, I think some of the Helvetica based designs are perfectly respectable. +1 for eps or similar vector format I'm not keen on coolvetica, but I do quite like Sketchetica, which I think is available for free & legitimate download. My favourite sans at the moment is Myriad which is what I use on my site thanks to Cufon.

bold, italic, underlined, comic sans F T W! ... As overused as Helvetica is, I think it works well here.

+1 The web developer toolbar and Firebug for javascript debugging make Firefox extremely useful for me. However, as great as it is, it's a bit of beast compared to Chrome, Opera and even Safari. Safari's got some issues as well but I love its full text history search. We don't mention IE...

Arial JOKES It's good old Helvetica & Helvetica bold

You've got to be careful about doing this sort of thing. You could easily end up making your injury a lot worse without even realising it. Pain is useful when playing sport... it tells you your body's limits.

Is that the edge of a cliff you're riding on? Other than that it looks good One tip... try hopping off things in a really slow and controlled way. Learning to get right to edge of the obstacle and slowly dropping off will help give you the back wheel control you need for other moves.
-
No... anyway you're the one that needs repping up On a side note, I'd get yourself a decent, long 8mm allen key for keeping your cranks tight. Me and a riding buddy find we need to tighten our Onzas' cranks once every ride. Even loctite doesn't seem to have worked for me...

Epic video!! Watched it along with a few other guys... I think they've been converted.

The only reason I've managed to get away with non skinnies for so long is because I ride left foot forward... snagging has only ever been an issue when freewheeling with my right foot forward.
-
I was freewheeling down a slight hill last night on the way back from a ride and it happened. The fabric was nearly a whole turn round the chainring so I couldn't just pedal backwards etc. I was about 5 mins from home but spent nearly half an hour staggering back, using my bike instead of my right foot, which wouldn't touch the ground. The most knackering thing I've done in ages. Luckily I didn't see anyone I knew or get mugged! I was a a sitting duck...

15% active users? That's impressive... I like the sounds of a regular editorial, whether it's on the site or in newsletter form.

It's appalling that your uni blocks Skype... which uni? I would pay and get a service like this... If I didn't have my own server I certainly would... https://www.ipredator.se/?lang=en Then you'll be able to do whatever you want online EDIT: Google chat does video now. I doubt they'll have blocked that.

I think the sarcasm was intentional

The muddy tyres are a giveaway

A guy I ride with has one... It's served him well for a year of regular hard riding. Other than a bent BB and a stripped crank it's been fine, and he's done a few large drops... (9ft) It seems to be just a lighter build of the Blade with a front Magura instead of a mechanical disc. I'd get some decent pads straight away if the previous owner hasn't already...
-
For the rear, I put in just enough to stop me hitting the rim. I run the front a bit firmer, otherwise the steering gets a bit mushy.
-
I'd go ahead and downgrade. The tools are all so well tested (even the downgrades) that you'd be very unlucky to brick your device. The jailbreak is worth it.

BADC B - is offbeat, skanky etc. Going the way of reggae, dubstep etc I tend to listen to music with simple drums, but fairly complex percussion. Not like pop/rock at all. Sorry to be difficult. Yes, 'cello Tech house
