Don't snack. Switch to brown bread. According to fhm fitness booklet, if you force yourself to do things that require more activity, i.e. get up out of your chair to get the remote rather than have someone fetch it for you, you can burn up to an extra 800 calories a day. Walk everywhere. Drink beers with lower %'s. I cant remember the exact figure but I think it was something like a beer with .2% less alcohol has around 40 fewer calories per pint. Grill your food rather than fry. Do a pilates move called 'the plank', look it up. If you work out, down an single black espresso shot before hand, on average it increases workout endurance by up to 60%. It also introduces more fat into the blood stream so you burn it quicker. Hope the podge-lodge goes well for you Joe. (p.s As an added incentive, I did all of the things I mentioned aswell as cycling 7 miles to and from work every day in the summer, and I shifted nearly 3 stone in 3 months and still dropping.)

Ah right, sounds good! As far as im aware, STA travel are going to sort out all our hostels and visas for places such as oz beforehand so it should be ok, i've just found out my mate is planning to go sydney for nye aswell!! how random, but should be awesome. I think £150 for white water rafting, skydiving and hostel transfer included sounds awesome! If there was anything to spend that much on, it would be that! cheers for all your help mate, youve been great. They should make you a senior member.. oh wait they already have lol. Thanks again

awesome, so for all the things you mentioned such as white water rafting etc, are these reasonably expensive? You see I dont wanna blow my budget on things like that becuase im planning on staying in Oz for a couple of months, going on to Sydney to spend christmas and new years there which should be aaaaawesome. Also, does anyone know the dealio with getting work permits on Australia? My mate said that you can only ever get one in your life so I wouldnt be able to go back if I got a job this year.

Hey, I'm planning a round the world trip this year and I was wondering if I could get some opinions off people who've been. The only bits I am wondering about really, are going to Thailand and where is decent, im thinking of a month or so in Phuket and then maybe going to Bankok for a week or so. Anyone been to either of these? Are they any good? And also I'm going to fly to Cairns and then drive down the East coast of Oz to Sydney, this is the thing I am really interested in, has anyone done this? Would you recommend renting a car or buying a cheap old vw van or something? And how much realisticly is it going to be for fuel, finidng hostels etc.. the trip is around 2000km, and is it rediculous to expect one person to be able to drive this as my mate can't drive. With that in mind, does anyone recommend sharing the drive with people we meet out there?? Any comments, tips etc will be much appriciated. James Actually while you're all listening, has anyone ever been to Reykjavik before? We're going to spend a few weeks there on our way back from NYC. I've heard it's un-believably expensive, so for a few weeks living in digs what am I looking at?

I think you need those things you stick on your lights so they dip to the right rather than the left so they don't dazzle other drivers, and your GB sticker obv.

That is so mint, I love the graphics. I don't know if this is supposed to happen but it cuts the bottom half of the bottom pictures off and I cant scroll down. Other than that I'm really impressed.

I see what your saying, and the only reason we've put the website up so prematurely is becuase we have been given a 'client project' at uni, wherby we have to produce some work for a real client, i.e, a website for a company etc.. Weve decided to go one further and create our own client that we have decided to keep working on after we finish Uni, which is this company SaltRock Productions. Our our progress presentations with our uni tutors are coming up soon so we wanted the website online to show what we're doing, this is aswell of course as setting up the gig and making the 6 live vids, apparently the amount of extra work we're putting in would be putting us dangerously close to a 1st in this module Bit surprised you dont like the name though, we all thought it was really cool. I can see what you mean about the surf company though, hopefully it wont be a problem. Cheers for your comments though guys, and I know what you mean Jonny, it really is 'who you know'! Will be needing to do some networking at the Final year exhibition!

Ah right, it's only called saltrock because I was sick on a bag of rocksalt one night and it just made so much sense. Anways, my mate designed the site, it's only been online for a few hours so more content should be added soon.

Why halite? If that was a joke I dont get it, sorry.
-
Me and a few guys off my course at uni have created SaltRock productions. We are currently working on putting on a gig and creating 6 live music vids for our first three clients. Other than that its anything and everything Audio Visual, we can do websites, promo vids, graphics etc.. keep us in mind if you ever want something done. Link James

You sire are a big ol' legend. Thanks very much. J

Ah right, cheers fella. I'l give that a crack. edit: Well it wasn't on any of those sites, so if anyone does know what tune it is, let me no. Thanks.
-
Ok, so I've heard this tune I really like on hmv.co.uk, taken from the hed kandi: kandi lounge album. The problem is, it says its the glimmer twins remix of the Shirley Bassey tune 'Slave to the rhythm', so I downloaded this tune on iTunes and it is most definately not the same one. I've also checked this on other websites and it's the same, I figure it must be a mix up on the hmv site, wrong song for that tune blah blah... Anyways, to listen to it go here and listen to the second tune on the first disk. Does anyone know who this is? I f**king love the beat on it. Thanks. J

No, it's not. The definition of the term agnostic is - 'One who holds the theory that God is unknown or unknowable' or 'Someone who claims that they do not know or are unable to know whether God exists.' It's not that im undecided or unsure, I am in my own mind, 100% sure there is no such thing as God, and religion is a farce. The point im trying to make is that I dont want to be labelled as a non-believer as it still has to do with religion. It irritates me that in this day and age, this rediculous thing called religion means that you are labelled as one of two things.. as I mentioned before, a believer or a non-believer. Which signifies that religion is something important and somehow the basis of existance, and to me, it isnt.
-
It's hard to explain on here how passionately I am against absolutely everything to do with religion, the mere idea of it makes me fume. I'm also thouroughly against the idea of people forcing their beliefs on me. So I do catagorically not believe in 'god', and when I say I dont want to be called an Athiest, or anything for that matter it's becuase by labelling myself that, it still has something to do with religion. It accepts that I personally dont believe in it, but that other people do... thus creating the possibility that in my mind it might exist, if only for other people. And I dont. An easier way of putting it would be... Someone religious would be a 'god believer', I would therfore be a 'non-god believer'.. and it pisses me off that I have to be labelled as anything to do with god or religion. Does that make any sense? Usually comes out better in the pub after a few.
-
That makes me hate the mere suggestion of religion even more, good luck to the next jehovah's witness that comes to my door. And I resent being labelled as an 'Atheist', in my eyes being called this still accepts the possibility of a god, and it's just something I personally don't belive in. I am nothing, and I refuse to be put into any sort of religious category, be it believer or non-believer. Sorry but Fcuk God and all his followers, it's things like that, that make me want to rip my hair out. Why is it that they are allowed to write down things like that and get away with it? But say for example we were all to start writing how Christians should be shot/burnt/drowned etc.. we would be sent down for religious hate crimes... GRRRRRRRR Edit: Just found this.... "A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However he should not penetrate, sodomising the child is OK. If the man penetrates and damages the child then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however does not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl's sister. " Are you f**king kidding me? And they're condoning this sort of thing..

anyone up?

That is truely rediculous. But thanks for asking bongo, i've been meaning to for ages. I'l be honest I really expected something more exciting than that!
-
Thats what I thought. It's just progressive scanning instead of interlaced on the same inch of pixels surely? 2 and a half years on a multimedia course, you'd think i'd know this conclusively haha.

I shit you not, you need look no further than.... the Samsung LE32R87BD It's in my opinion, one of the best looking ranges of tv's available. It has built in freeview, and also encorporates a day by day on-screen tv guide so you can plan everything you want to watch etc.. Has a swivel stand, which is awesome and not on all 32" lcd tv's. It has 3x HDMI inputs, aswell as digital opitcal audio output and componant inputs. It is also 1080i as you wanted. Seriously, it's the best thing i've ever bought.
