Like I've said before, I have around ~30 hours of work done on me right now...when I die it will be closer to the thousand of hours range. Some shit will hurt bad, some wont- I can't really handle over 4 hours at a time...the pain is part of it, tis quite nice. I've had too many drink to be commenting right now on anything

Pain depends on your artists, some have heavy hands some don't...For my ribs I had a super heavy handed guy, it would take 4 weeks to heal- during the tattoo it would be insanely painful. For my chest I have a new artist, I fall asleep during it....it is like a massage- it also heals basically in 48 hours. Generally the most painful areas are the ribs, the throat, around the elbow, the hip bone...everyone is different- some say the spine hurts, some don't...I don't know yet...but seriously the biggest deal is who the artist is and how you prepared for it. If you want to pass out, just don't eat anything- I guarantee it will be hilarious. Price should be no object, I'll have spent tens of thousands of dollars by the end of my life- don't skimp on that shit or you are just a f**king idiot. Artists charge by the hour; I've paid for 150 euro an hour in france ( 4 hour job), $100 an hour and $150 an hour in america...the most expensive people don't go past $200 an hour unless they are anil gupta...tin tin in paris was 200 euro an hour, and he isn't even that great. I personally hate small things, they are worthless to me, each one of my projects generally takes 10-20 hours to complete to give you an idea of how much money is involved.

fyi no one uses (or should use) photoshop or paint shop pro for a logo.

my first...hahah....needs to be covered up It is a small dragon on my shoulder, just black, I got it in a shady tattoo shop too! Picked it off the wall, got it right when I turned 18 (i was an idiot...)...It will be easy to cover up, but I plan on sleeves so I have to cover it up with those...will take a while. I didn't get another tattoo till I was 22. I just turned 24 last week and I've had over 30 hours of work done in those last 2 years.

how old are you? Get something small first...so ... if you made a bad decision....you can over it up!

yeah the knife one..unfortunately the artist has a 4-6 month wait, i have three 4 hour sessions lined up for august/september with him.

hardest tattoo one me I've had to photograph...sorry about that...35mm 1.6 crop ftl. thing is black as midnight. Can't really tell size from there, but it goes from above my knee to my hip- 15" tall from top to bottom. Done at tin tin in paris the day before I left for they gay usa. It's not like 20 beers in an hour...beer is very different than hard alcohol for me. america is all binge drinking!! Especially in college! That is all kids do...You aren't aloud to drink until you are 21, people have no idea how to drink socially here- just do it to get wasted. I've gone 5 months straight with 10+ drinks a night at one point....not bragging, but I had a bit of a problem :/ i've cut down thoroughly in the past year and now I'm quite a lightweight in comparison to my old self, but I think my body will thank me later.
