Ride from today with a friend Ian... It was brutally cold and drizzling rain, like 60 degrees. Tore my rotator cuff a few weeks ago, shoulder wasn't into much besides pointing my phone at things...looking forward to healing and putting a proper vid out. enjoy

Here is a one day phone video from last october, probably my only pogo stick video (on youtube now, will put vimeo later); 145x25 stem and arcade bars...I have trialtech carbon bars and 150x30 on the gu now but have only ridden it once since getting my hex... The pogo stick in this configuration isn't very fun to ride, and the only things that it is fun to ride on are fairly high risk of getting an injury- it just does everything so much bigger with no interest in between moves. If there is a local competition and I want to do very well in it I would ride the pogo stick for a month before it...otherwise riding is something I just want to enjoy, and the hex is everything to me. My vimeo upload amount changes tonight, will have more vids and will edit this post with them. edit: here is my last F T W video, a frame I rode for almost 10 years... still has a soft spot in my heart, this is from june of last year (another one day phone video)

Lol... Yes that is me, I'm not an American as you expect most Americans to look like (and rightly so, bunch of pudgy corn syrup pill popping doofuses make up 90% of this beautiful land). I don't eat red meat so burgers not so much, can grow a beard- have eagle eyes and have never been very fat. I'll have a hex video out soon so you can see what I look like while typing this, thanks for the compliment. I remember Zurich videos but can't say that I've got any... Do have a Braunschweig vid and a tunni and a Damon one that I liked back then. Brian put up all those! Especially the Trialskings!!

Entire thing would be quite mean with a rattle can job.

Insanely skilled rider, would be fun to watch in public. Does nothing for me to watch it, I don't need backflips or spins but I do enjoy a bit of flow in between moves.

Added 10 more videos, mostly just my own riding/taping from the early/mid 2000s. Thought this crowd would enjoy this one as much as I have, Is he still riding? Always loved his videos. Wish someone would do those tailwhip/bike flip/whatever he does so smoothly today... Here's another with some interesting early street style from Canberra: Have a bit more to upload but I've reached my uploading limit for this week... I will say that TGS was so much more interesting on bikes that weren't pogo stick bullshit like bersha/the russian guy with short shorts- it used to be interesting to watch, and they go big as fuuu (watson/tunni).

Very enjoyable thanks for filming/posting... Get flipp some gloves they make you look like a doofus but keep your hands safe!

U tryna make me turnt bro? Stick with your mod lifestyle. I'll look for an old hard drive.. Somewhere there are 5 biketrials.com CDs.

Is this considered old school riding? 2008-2009, mid school riding? Considering I just stopped using this F T W (wow that is censored here? *** ) frame late last year, it was fun to finally get my vimeo password and find these hidden videos. Some of these things I can't do today on my pogo stick, back then I rode every day...and was in my 20s... A brief one from 2009: If you have the patience, a single ride from 2008; Gripped by nostalgia I guess... edit: some real old school riding from people I looked up to because of their style: anyone have any more video of Arizono? :

Man do you not know how to film!? take the wide angle off, and zoom in to concentrate on what his chain stay is doing, or his brake finger, or his pedals- something we can enjoy. No one wants to see him actually riding. I think you need to make all the objects in the tarty bikes set up much higher and much farther away

Yeah sure. Can you choose who you are family with? Can you choose how many gross ads are forced into your face? Or suggested friends / other creepy bullshit Facebook does to you? I for one find myself in the world never looking at my phone. Everyone else is staring at their $600 Chinese piece of glass like a f**king lemming walking to their death. The modern life, "social media" life isn't for me. I do Instagram however. And electronic mail people. The rest

I run a star nut (smallest my lbs had, not as small as tarty recommends) banged down into my TT fork... Ran the top cap for years with no problems, never coming remotely loose. Do prefer the star nut however- it feels stronger/more solid than the top cap, much like how a TT fork feels stronger than an echo urban (I run both right now on different bikes). Also run a half link right now for the first time, just came with my kmc 610 so I run it... This is on a normal tensioned chain with perfect chain line and a 2 pulley spring tensioner. Not sure about your bike, Echos seem to get pissy when you mess with the gearing they are made for. I just went to 1 less tooth in the back as well, it definitely changes how the bike rides- specifically gaps and short run up timings. Feels great though... Definitely get get the high rise bars, they are the shit.

I haven't had Facebook for a good 5? or more years. It's a happy life not seeing all the bullshit that is written.
-
Arcade bars are the shit... I rolled with azonics back in the day, you will thank me. And do not roll them forward !

I started re posting here after a 5? Year gap of posting here because the American forum is so incredibly slow. I was a bit sad to see this forum is almost as slow At least there are strange culture differences that take more time to read into, and that car thread is hilarious with all of your tiny weak plastic toy cars. I guess people just sit and look at Facebook / Instagram / whatever other bullshit and the forum is too old school for most of the groms.

I had the music up a good bit as I was working on my bike and was definitely scared of the big roid rage American redneck screaming with scary loud music. Keep on riding and having fun.
-
Nothing like cancelled school, fun looking ride! Smooth nose stuff Do all of those companies sponsor you? What was the ending? Absolutely scary and loud.

My goal was to run 5 gears as a stock bike should have by rules of trials law. However the only fault of the arcade bars is I couldn't fit my cut down 1999 gripshift with my lock on grips Edit: took out all I could take out. One tiny link, for fears of future British chain length ridicule. I will think specifically of you whenever I have to change a flat and it's a pain in the ass as my chains so f**king tight. This makes the dog happy.

I've been going around with stem lengths on my hex... Have an Arcade bar (easily the best bar ever made...?), ran a Trialtech high rise and now run a Trialtech carbon bar on my pogo stick.. The arcade bar is pure pure natural comfort. On the hex I started with 70x30, 5mm spacers underneath, was nice and short but still troubled to get the front end up. Measured the stem and it was 60mm!! Was very nice for certain spin style things but not so great for pulling up...the bars would turn very quickly, an X-up dream. Then I got a used 80x40 stem (hand branded as that, not sure if it's 30deg? Not in orig package) from my LBS and the bike changed to a new world.. Still with 5mm of spacers underneath... Had one incredible ride (just think about it and it goes into a manual) and tore my rotator cuff at the end of the ride! Bummer zone... Going for a spin tonight, also ordered a 70x30 Ritchie stem but unsure if I'm even going to try it as this 80x40 is incredible. 90x30 is an old favorite but I haven't tried it yet as I feel it will feel too "long" when turning the bars if that makes any sense/ a mate has that on his bike and it reminds me of my pogo stick... 90x10 with a good amount of spacers underneath will be more streety, 90x10 with only a few spacers will be nice for "pure trials". Watch JamesB hex videos, he's got a similar looking to 90x10 and he uses his hex for pure trials. In the end just try all kinds of things till you get something that feels right to you- enjoy that frame I'm falling in love every time I ride it... Have fun with it !! Edit: shot of my bike, green is the best

Used to watch that section7 video endlessly... jj is still riding, somewhere on YouTube you can find him tail whipping his arcade...
-
Let's see your last video ? Sorry I'm not familiar.

Is there an easy way to do this without messing up the paint? Friend stripped his console, said it was hard to get the real paint off but one round of paint stripper and the decals came right off... I'd love nothing more than to just have a green frame, too scared to try it as I love the paint and it's a brand new frame.

Thanks rafal for the vote I think a video should just come from your heart, good friends riding, have no intentions other than sharing your love of the sport and how fun it is to ride- if you make it well the viewer will take away a feeing of happiness for this sport and be inspired to ride over some obstacles. Love watching all vids mark comes out with, and a lot of the inspired guys / flipp / jamesb / rossm / cocky ... I would say the Trialskings videos are my goal, loved when they would come out and every one of them were so exciting in the days before YouTube. Just mates riding with mates, pushing the envelope and having fun. Lots can be said, haven't the time now- but I would abolish minute long intros with no riding at all in them... Nothing peeves me more than that, or full buttsex euro techno soundtrack... But the French are just French, they can't help it.

No problems with my kmc 610? In black. Don't notice it stretching, lasts forever, cheap as dirt, never snaps and goes together with anormal chain tool ..?

Been riding this hex for a few months, starting to gain the advantages that come with riding w speed- advantages like falling straight to the ground with lots of velocity, on my pogo bike I just jump off like a fairy and never get hurt. Big ass arm cut and f**ked shoulder on this one. No $$ for stitches but he body is strong and knows what to do. After riding trials for close to 20 years, I'll say some things about injuries- RICE is a key as always, taking time to heal is very important and something I wouldn't do when I was young. Strength training helps with not getting hurt as much.. And doing yoga is just as important for me as I get older and the joints don't work as well. Proper nutrition helps with healing faster- major importance on not drinking alcohol. Something that was a favorite thing of mine to do when hurt in the past. Only realizing now in my 30s how much it buggers your body up. Hex and I are now blood brothers.
