Think I have a continental der baron on my hex... Shit is fantastic, 45 psi - feels fine on rocks.. For natural trials on my comp bike I love the Kaiser at a low psi especially for wet rocks... But recently went to a schwalbe Hans Dampf, not quite as good as the Kaiser but light as.. sadly the comp bike with the schwalbe isn't getting any love this year , inspired made the hex too ideal.

If anyone should be banished to "riding" a 20" bike... its rockport I think...
-
Great vid... How many years ago did Dj pass away? I remember when that happened... Such a fantastic way to remember him, and that amount of people at one ride is about 3x the amount of people who ride in all of America... Lucky ducks.

No shit... Wondering what they feel like for a reason.

Awesome spot... Riding looks quite nice even with those crazy angled bars

innnnteresting jack carthy grip tape...wonder what it feels like

A phones eye view of our 7 hour downtown Los Angeles ride today ... Haven't done that in a while ! Felt great. I think people need to drop the T from TGS because all I see people doing is gapping and sidehopping... A good tap is all I ever need !

Do the freeriders have a different sole than other shoes? I have 510 dirtbags which I got for a steal ($39!), they were an old model...however the bottoms of the shoes wore out fairly quickly - so that the pins were in my feet...what I did was just switch pedals (well....bikes) so now no pins go in, I love how they look and how grippy they are... To replace it I can't find any good deals (should have bought 5 pairs!), wondering if the other shoes with stealth rubber are thicker/stronger?

I quite liked the third one, didn't feel it was too long at all. Have never heard of vlog before this, will probably never watch another one. Looks like some great nature up there, you guys work hard doing demos all the time. looking forward to the one with Mark wwwww

So much more enjoyable than any of his 24" videos... But I'm old school.
-
Still think he looked better on the 26" doing the same backwards nose manual line on those rocks... Where's that ancient video? Riding is insane, some shit I was just "whaaaaaaaat".

It would be raw if it wasn't cooked like it is. It is a rare steak, that's how it should be done- brief sear of the outside.

You are a tank... That was beautiful, insane quiet riding spots.

So refreshing to hear the nice bird noises to a vid of not a 24" street bike... Great, jealous of your X up skills...

Using an iPhone 6 to do the video.. that rock!! I tried it more than in film, first time I found it I had just hurt my shoulder... Next time I go there I'll get it... It does have a really gnarly entry - super bumpy and weird angles to the ground. thanks for watching

Hey guys. Same as last time- filmed, edited and uploaded with my phone. Yesterday was my first ride back after an injury in January. Total happiness and chill riding, Ian and Dara on 24" bikes. Enjoy and don't get sunburned from our weather. ,

First ride since early January when I ruined my shoulder on a crash.. Right now is the next day and I'm happy to say that it has no pain...4.5 months of physio/yoga/mindfulness and I'm back. I'm on the hex (second ride ever with it set up to my liking, loving it !! ). Ian is on the console and Dara on the crazy iron .

Have to say I had a Planet X zebdi and a jack flash... The Jack flash- I would love to build a bike with that frames geometry again, such a fun fun fun bike to go fast and bunnyhop/jump on. The zebdi was great but if you aren't doing any trials at all on it... Eh... I'm not sure how long it was.. i think danny holyrod? Had a Planet X pitbull, whatever their like 10 pound frame was... He could ride that thing, it was a TANK. edit, Google gave me some geometry answers... Assuming they are correct; Top Tube 569mm Head Angle 72o Seat Angle 73.5o BB Drop 10mm Chain Stay 425mm Seat Tube 320mm 1050mm wheelbase It's the frame I learned how to manual and bunnyhop on... Good memories, if you can find one I'd jump on it.

When you think about it... Continental is $$$$ ... But I had two flats in 4 years of one kaiser, if I had a shit tire I would've gotten way more flats... More tubes = more $$$ over the years, plus the frustration of having a shit tire would probably lead me to drown my sorrows in a bottle of nice whisky. Then whilst drunk I would spend money on other stupid things. as for front tire I've got the kenda nevegal on my street and comp bike, fairly cheap and totally groovy.

As I get older I'm not any more scared of falling... I'm more scared of how long it takes to heal once you fall!!

Side hop ET sidehop did it for me... Always good.
