On a real trials bike ( 5 working gears, seat, 1999 geometry) you can no problem. on today's frames (I wouldn't call them bikes, as they can't be ridden as a bicycle should be ) you would look very very strange and probably fall a lot. I ordered a hope hub from my lbs right when the 40t came out... But it came as the old model. strong as shit and hasn't been touched since I got it... Would like to try the new one but no reason to get it sadly. Sad to hear bearings blowing out on people...have a feeling I'll get one soon enough. run a Chris king classic from 1998 still on my main bike. Hasn't given me a skip in 18 years, I did break the regular axle and free hub once in that time... But now with a heavy duty axle, thing is a beast.

Because you can't control your bike yet I think most will agree it is easier to do long distances to front wheel, especially up gaps. Some gaps to front are impossible to rear...unless you're a beast like Carthy! love these vids

I don't really care how long they are, it's just refreshing to see you ride. I think there are more than enough people putting out videos where 80% of the lines are gaps to front. I personally hate front gaps, only think it's for weak people who can't do it to rear like a real man. #AMERICUHHHH

Anyone with the Shimano xt / zee / SLX have a good lever feel? I went xt, lever was mushy shite. Even had the lbs bleed it- still mushy shite. Every single xt/SLX I've ever felt in bike shops (read- hundreds) are all mushy shite. I want to pull the lever till it hits, then have 0 movement towards the bar.. I want it to feel like a rock. I can't run any Maggie 4 finger lever because with the extra leverage - they are all mushy shite. I ran an early Saint front/rear for a month, it was rock solid and I loved that feeling. I was so sad to get the xt.. currently run avid bbdb (really makes a difference compared to new bb7), Trialtech pads, whatever 203 rotor, odyssey linear slic cable (it's cheaper than shite cable for me- $4 for the whole thing), sd7. Rock solid, never slips, love it. Granted been using this same set up for 14-15? Years..

Sticktrials are about as good on two wheels as the English were in world war two. If only I had an AI video drone to follow just me this thread would be more interesting.
