  1. Bad times when the kids bikes are almost better than yours
  2. Watching Sam Pilgrim vids on YouTube is making me want to build a cheap dirt jump hardtail up. Don't need more bikes.......
  3. Why is it when you think you've got everything you need to build a bike up there's always one pain in the arse bit you either haven't got or have lost! Building a rather tidy bike for my younger son and after forgetting the BB cups I also have mislaid the headset reducing crown race I had off my old bike
  4. Most round here now aren't even making it on to the market, lad at work has bren looking and he says he's lucky if they get even a day online before selling over the asking price. Glad I'm skint with zero outlook of ever owning otherwise I'd be really pissed off!
  5. Actually just noticed the report symbol does show on mobile but I've never seen it numbered like notifications and messages do
  6. Is there any way to get report notifications on the mobile skin as that's what I'm on most of the time and whilst I do pick up quite a bit of spam (usually after Mike has replied to them ) I never go through the reports. EDIT: Wahey 13,000th post, good times...
  7. It's the Holy Rollers, there was a batch knocking about that just didn't sit on rims because they're too baggy. I had a set on some Spank rims years back and they used to pop off overnight just sat never mind when riding. Only option is to replace the tyres really so if you already fancy contis then go with that!
  8. Funnily enough it was one of your vids I found on YouTube that got me back into trials years ago!
  9. "Please note that all purchasers of Strip Away Pro will need to sign a one off acknowledgement/disclaimer sheet acknowledging the receipt of the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and a statement explaining the Health and Safety requirements for the use of this product. Even if purchased it will not be despatched until the acknowledgement sheet has been returned. This instruction is a requirement of EU regulations dating back to 2005 and sadly cannot be varied." Sounds f**king lethal!
  10. I remember opening a can of the old nitromors at work one night and it spat out the lid into my eye. Was wearing contacts at the time so i absolutely shat myself and nearly drowned holding my head under a tap for about 5 minutes to wash it out
  11. Right lads, what is the current go to stripper of choice that actually works? Got 2 rims I need to pull back to bare metal!
  12. Arms were absolutely knackered from riding, severely lacking conditioning when it comes to gripping handlebars!
  13. A lot of people run 170's on a 24, just personal preference really. Not quite sure what the gear ratio Ali uses on his Hex has to do with your 4play though?
  14. I think there should be a minimum wage, as Ali said tools for the job and travel should be covered as would be in any regular profession but you still need to be paid as even if you enjoy what you do it is work at the end of the day. You are promoting a product or number of products for a company and should be reimbursed for the labour performed.
  15. What do you call an alligator wearing a vest? An investigator!
  16. Better to get it fixed at any cost!
  17. I did my trap doing weighted pull-ups on Monday and then lower back squatting too low yesterday! f**king agony yesterday but to be honest I had it coming after sleeping on the sofa all last week when I came in off nights.
  18. Another upgrade completed at work last night. 2nd hand pair of Stans Flow mk3 rims on some Pro 4 boost hubs (bargain at £130 via the cyclescheme) means a top wheelset for well under £250! Still using OBM's wheelbuilding guide on here too!

    Covid19

I'm gonna take it when I get offered it. If you look on the British Heart Foundation website it states that ibuprofen is linked with 37.5 admissions to hospital for heart failure per 10,000 people which equals 3,750 per million. I'd say those numbers are considerably more worrying when people take ibuprofen and medicines containing it without thinking. Blood clots aren't a new problem and have been a massive killer for years (https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/dr-beverley-hunt/blood-clots-are-more-comm_b_12466180.html article last updated in 2017), I'd bet that every person who developed one probably brushed their teeth within 24hrs of it happening so its probably safer if we all stop brushing our teeth just in case....
  20. Coming back to this, just been over Jacob's Ladder and some very rocky descents and it worked perfectly Definitely impressed with the setup!
  21. No this one is solid, I do know they changed the mount on the bottle recently though so maybe that was it?
  22. Finally got around to ordering a new bottle for the big bike
  23. Snoops commentary on the Tyson fight a few months back was absolutely legendary, way more entertaining than the actual fight!
  24. Foam grips are amazing, otherwise I'd recommend a corn razor (can get from chemists) and pumice stone. My hands are constantly sore and getting hammered from pullup bars and that's what I use.
