  1. I had the same problem with my trialtech/tryall combo on my heavy tools when I first put it all together. Ended up buying the echo BB bolts as the tryall standard ones were too short cause you couldn't get the cranks on far enough, think they tightened on an extra 6-7mm over the course of the first 2 weeks I rode it!
  2. Looking forward to seeing how this Echo one rides, should be here today with the rest of my kit needed and my frame (if I'm a very lucky boy) will be powder coated for the weekend so I can get everything swapped over!
  3. Is there anyone on here who does custom stickers? Just asking as having a search revealed there was a lad and his dad who used to make them but there website is no longer in use so are they still going or is there anyone else who could help me??
  4. Frame went in for powder coating this afternoon, fingers crossed it'll be done for the weekend so I can build it up before I start nights next week. I've gone for a nice dark blue, think its sapphire, just cant wait for it to be done!
  5. YES!!! She's arrived in super fast time, was sent yesterday on a 48 hour service! Reckon I may get the frame sprayed white, gonna take it to wqrk tomorrow and get all the glue off the stickers removed and see what it looks like then. Was well excited when I picked it up from the post office, just went wild and ripped it open there and then! Just a big kid at heart me!
  6. I'm with you on that one!! Awesome setup there mate!
  7. Well I've gone for the TR now so will see how it goes, hopefully be up to the job at hand!
  8. Could be a winner then, cheers!
  9. Gotta order a bottom bracket later for my zenith but not sure what to get. I currently have a try all isis in my heavy tools but if i take that out it wont be going back in as the teeth are sheared off which has put me off it a bit as it happened a bit too easily, the question is what should I get? Are the Echo TR isis ones any good? I know its only a £2 saving but it comes with echo alloy bolts which I can use on the pyhton when that gets built up, or should I stick with the tryall. I'm running a ffw and bashring if that helps!
  10. Click drop down bar next to your username at the top, select My Settings then select manage attachments and delete away!
  11. I'm liking it mate, could be the start of your 2 wheels trials world!
  12. Got the frame back from the welders, they reckon this should be more than strong enough now!! And also resprayed my Viz forks I got off JohnyMilton silver instead of white to match up Taking her to the local powder coaters tomorrow and I'm hoping they can get it done superfast!
  13. Yeah that would be great cheers matey! Think I'm gonna get them redone in red instead of green an get some red components to match up!
  14. Yeah thats great cheers, not too fussed about gettin lightweight kit! Think they'll be the 1st things on my shopping list then!
  15. Nah like I said they're only a local band and managed to blag the backing track off a german guy who has had a big hit with it in Europe. Think vid was filmed locally round New Mills and their football ground, they're bout 3 leagues below Conference so only small!
  16. Check this out, a local band fronted by Tony Audenshaw (Bob Hope off Emmerdale) has just released there world cup song Viva Englandia. Tony was on the local radio station this morning and he's gonna be on telly over the coming week or so promoting it and I hope it flies high in the charts. The website is www.vivaenglandia.co.uk and the song is on iTunes for download as of this morning! Just so you know, I'm not associated with the band or anything I just think its a good track and want them to do well with it!
  17. Spoke tensioner is a bit of home made kit, involves bending a spoke around your axle and running it onto the chain to keep it tight, have a look here for how to do it. Could be worth trying it before you buy a tensioner!
  18. Looking at ordering some wheels for my Python and was looking at getting a pair of Echo TR's built up (only ones tarty have got in the right colour!) on some onza sealed hubs. Trying to stay relatively cheap but still a half decent spec. Opinions??
  19. Sorry mate think you're in the wrong kind of place for xc advice, some people may be able to help but don't hold your breath!
  20. No worries mate, thanks for the update. May as well keep hold of the money incase they get the machine fixed an there's no rush for the bits anyway as the 2 bikes they'll be going on are a good few weeks away from being sorted! Hope you get it sorted as was looking forward to seeing your finished frame in all its glory!
  21. Franks chucked in a set of Zoo low rise bars with it that he was trying to sell so guess they'll be going on, got 2 pairs now! Did consider getting the frame painted to cover the scratches on it but not 100% yet what to do, will have to wait and see what kind of condition its in up close. Cheers for all the input guys!
  22. Must admit, I always thought single speed was daft until I rebuilt my bike after christmas and thought I'd give it a try, mainly to save money and hassle of setting up, and I can honestly say I'd never go back to gears. Just feels really nice and gives you a bit of confidence that its 1 less thing to go wrong!
  23. Oh yes, still waiting for my Zenith to come back from the welders as well so I can get that in for powder coating an get some pics up. Will be having our 2nd kid in November so gotta get all this done before he/she comes along and money becomes tight!
  24. Think he meant do they come as standard on the bike brand new
  25. Thats a cracking deal (excuse the pun!) that really shows the quality of the service. I'll look towards some Onza components for building my mod up just on the off chance something dies if there's a chance said piece can be replaced at a discount! (was gonna use onza hubs already!)
