  1. Yeah might look out for that ryan leech dvd, just missed it on ebay not long ago!
  2. No one really round my area who rides at all never mind on a mod, and cause I work odd shifts I can't make it to rides nearby like matlock quarry as I work most weekends and get days off in the week. Like today would be perfect day for a ride but I'm on 8-7 and then back workin at 6am tomorrow so can't really go out after work! It's a right pain in the arse!!
  3. wants some new stock forks, need some more height at the front end!

  4. Wouldn't have thought so, the rims on that page are ancient!
  5. Anyone know if there's any decent riding spots in Macclesfield?? Gonna have to meet up with a few lads soon to pick up some tips and get some decent practice done as the town I live in is wank for riding at my current standard!
  6. This is true, have to get a ferry to my mums from oban and used to do some riding there years ago when I used to ride! Just doin the usual this year, week in wales with the missus, our son, an her mum an sisters. Don't mind goin with her family as it means its free and there's someone to babysit if I wanna go riding or me and the missus wanna go out at night!
  7. Does anyone know of any good instructional vids or just good vids to pic up tips off with riders on mods? Managed a quick half hour before work on mine but still struggling a bit as I've never seen anyone ride one in person so not really got anything to go off and all the vids I see on youtube tend to be either too advanced for me at the moment or they flick from one clip to another so quick you cant get a good look at how stuff is done!
  8. Any chance you could a set done for me in red??
  9. Awesome vid, can't wait for the next one!!
  10. fao tomturd, how come there's no validate links anymore? Still in process of upgrade??

    1. Muel

      Muel

pretty sure it's been removed, it didn't work as everyone would just ask 5 mates to vote for them.

use the report function and then a mod will decide if they're validatory material

  11. Keep a look out on ebay for an Onza T Pro, there's quite a few on at the moment including one with a buy it now of £220. Thats probably your best bet till you get validated!
  12. I'd recommend Leeds, from what I've read on here the riding is good and I was there for 3 months last year on a training course and it was rammed with fanny! Enjoyed it so much I've arranged my mates stag do in Leeds next month!!
  13. Anyone on here got kids and if so they got a trainer bike? I got my lad one last thursday (this one) and within a week he's scaring me to death already! Can't recommend them highly enough though, he's 2 ½ and can balance really well already, what's worrying me though is now whenever he gets near a step or kerb he has to stop and lift the front wheel up or roll off the end "like daddy does" though it could be worse! Whats the smallest kids trials bikes they do, could have the next world champ in the making!!
  14. Here's a few I like to use, some free, some not! Tunein radio - listen to almost any radio station that is broadcast over the net, great when you get bored of what tunes you've got saved on the phone! Vouchercloud - like them 2 for 1 vouchers and money off ones you can get on the net but you don't have to print them off just show the voucher on your phone and hey presto, plus it shows what offers are on nearby you through gps! Crystal Maze - purely for the soundboard and Richard O'Briens classic "Will you start the fans please!" line Ebay - never miss an auction again!
  15. Probably nowhere near the right solution but I go to the gym quite a bit and take the usual protein shakes and supplements (like creatine) so try and stick to a relatively healthy diet but the one thing I find that really kills me is not drinking enough. Most days I drink around 2-3.5 litres of water (not including brews!) and I find if I have a day or 2 where I'm just on tea and coffee and don't get much water down I get absolutely knackered, fall asleep on the sofa, no energy, colds and general roughness. Could be all in my head but thought I'd stick a suggestion in for you, you never know!!
  16. Rockings definately the best method I found years ago when I first learnt, kicking straight up into a backhop took quite a while to master. It's easier to kick up into one when you've mastered rocking into a backhop and kicking forward, to be honest if I were you I'd try and get hold of a copy of Tricks and Stunts DVD as whilst its quite old now it does a good job of teaching you the basics! You probably will find it a little harder than normal though to do on a normal MTB compared to a trials specific frame due to the geometry.
  17. Just ripped my shin out again, was my right one though for the first time ever?!
