  1. If the date was set a fair way off then I'd consider coming next year although it would be down to the missus as she's expecting our 2nd child so don't know if I'd want to leave her on her own with the pair. Not too keen on the live music though unless there could be an area away from it to ride and/or sleep as some may not want to listen when they're riding or might prefer to just chillout and chat around the fire. The main thing that put me off coming this year was the obstacles available but if there'll be a lot more for all skill levels then thats definately a big plus. Think the comps and possible involvement with Welsh Cycling would also be great as long as there's a chance of less skilled riders winning something, their own comp maybe, so they don't feel left out.
  2. Hope it don't rain on wednesday!

  3. Think I might dig mine out, its a shame as the aluminiums corroded over the years so they look a bit horrible. Otherwise would be on my stock as we speak!
  4. Here you go! Back when I first started you got these, the blue ones were the budget set, bout £30 a pair cheaper than the raceline yellows and the reds (can't remember what they were called) and all came with boosters like the ones that come with the evo2 kit although you could get a stiffer "horseshoe" booster for the yellows. Not long after, bout 97 I think, they brought out an even cheaper version of the blue ones which were just a pair without boosters and with composite levers. Think they were called Move but I could be wrong, was a long time ago now! Oh yeah, we could only get 3 types of pad back then as well, standard black pads, koolstop reds and greenfrogs!
  5. My god thats one ugly bike!! I was about 15 and the first bike I started doin proper trialsy stuff on was a 13" Specialized Rockhopper. The bloke at J E James in Shefvegas was determined not to sell me it though as he insisted it was too small for a 6ft lad!
  6. What about a classic Magura Blue mountain? Got a pair of them still in my cupboard!
  7. Thought I'd start this up like the picture of todays riding thread. Rules are that the clip can be no longer than 30 secs long and preferably 1 continuous clip, not a mini edited video! I'll start, on nights last night and went out with my 2 yr old son down the road this morning so he could have a quick play in an old car park. Just so you know this is pretty good for me, reckon I can go quite a big bigger as well now!
  8. Don't sound desperate to me mate, welcome to the forum! There's loads of lads on here who live and/or ride in Leeds so you should have no problems whatsoever getting out to a few rides. You got a bike yet or still looking for one?
  9. Think I'm at the other end of the scale to you guys! Like a bit of quality rock, AC/DC, Mr Big, Thunder, but my main love always has and always will be happy hardcore. Mainly the oldskool stuff from 94-98, always gets me pumped up ready for anything!
  10. Nah, we were on coffee all week at the bike shop I brewed up, err sorry, worked at!
  11. Bike shop at heaton moor in stockport, was annoyed as was the closest I could get to home and involved an hour train ride ride and 20 min walk to get there! Think that was about 12 years ago now!

  15. Got work in an hour, tonight I shall be watching the new Karate Kid film! Want a good job? Get on the railway!!

  16. Not so much a pic of me riding, more a pic of what I rode today. Rode up to the inlaws to pick my son up this afternoon so had a play on the way up, was well impressed when after a few attempts I managed to bunnyhop onto the top of this. First few times I used the little kerb in front as a kicker for the back wheel and once I'd nailed that I moved round to the left, reckon if I'd had time with a few more goes could have made it straight up to back wheel and held it. Well happy!
  17. We should send all the stories bout TUK into Watchdog, the BBC would love something like this to waste a programme on. Plus its saves everyone doing the legwork!! Watchdog send us a story page
  18. Name: Dave Age: 27 Location: High Peak Bike: Zona Zenith and Zoo Python Trick in Practice: Anything to front wheel be it it gaps, jumping up, sidehopping. And grow some balls when it comes to drop offs, still brick it at 4ft!

  23. Think when my sister in law had her prom a few years ago one of her mates got her dad to clean his tractor and muckspreader an they stuck a massive stereo in the back and about 6 of them went in the muckspreader. Another favourite round here is trailer on the back of a steam engine, definately get you noticed if there's anyone nearby that has one! I'm so glad we didn't have proms in my day, bloody Americanization!
