I'm changing the entire front end of my zenith (forks, stem and bars) as it feels far too low for me and just not right and was looking at these system ex stems tartybikes have got. Thought it my do the job for me as they are high rise and come in some good lengths but I just wanted to see if anyone has an opinion on them before I splash out, pref one of the tarty boys?? So you know I've currently got some Viz forks, trialtech sport forged stem and zoo risers which will be going for some Urbans, possibly this stem and I'm not sure which bars yet as I'll probably have to go 2nd hand due to a lack of funds!

I feel exactly the same when I ride my stock which is why I'm changing the entire front end, forks, stem and bars, to go for a high rise stem and some decent riser bars to get some height at the front. I believe that there's someone on here, maybe more, who rides with a mod stem on his stock so it's not unheard of to have a long high front!

Go 2nd hand, you can pick up a hope for next to nothing! I've got one on my mod and one on my stock and they were both £30 when I bought them!

I should really start trying this as it's one of the things I've been putting off!

Get both? That way you've got trouser and frame protection, then when you're a bit more confident and experienced you can ditch the plate and stick with just the ring!
