I'm sure a few of you on here know of Trial Magazine and probably also know that it doesn't really contain much bike trials in. The thing is, I know the boss who started the mag up and he's asked me to ring him regarding getting more stuff in there to interest us lowly non petrol propelled riders so before I speak to him I just want to see what would make you interested enough to buy the mag? I initially thought the basics like new products, results and pictures from comps, rider profiles, etc, but thats just me. I want to see what everyone would like to read, hopefully I'll be able to convince him to give cycle trials a bigger share which will be good for us as it's a magazine worth buying to read and good for him as it might improve his sales. This is also partially aimed at people like tartybikes and heatsink pads as whilst most of us know of them it may still help them out with a bit of exposure if they got involved. Like I said before, I've got to speak to the boss first and for all I know nothing may come of this but its worth a try, let me know what you think!

Aye thats the one, not sure really which it is! Was just in a spending mood really and fancied a change!

Whats Best High Riser Or Flat Bars For 20"?
isitafox replied to ZooRYDER's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I'd say it depends on how tall you are and what generally feels good, anyone who's seen a pic of my python will have noticed the 65mm worth of stem stackers + high rise trialtech stem + zoo riser bars which I think are like the trialtechs and it's perfect for me! -
Bought an echo modstock off here at the weekend and I'm just wondering what they ride like?? It's only my 2nd "proper" trials frame after a zenith (which I've convinced my cousin to buy off me) so was just wondering how they ride? I've had a look about but can't find the geo or weight of them so if anyone could advise me I'd be grateful, think it's an 06. On the zenith I was doing alright but there was something about it that didn't quite gel with me like my python does so I'm hoping I'll have a bit more luck this time round! Oh yeah, I have searched for info but me and the search function don't seem to get on very well!!

Do you know how much railway sleepers weigh? Had some lads swapping some at my box the other week, 12' long ones and took 4 men to move them!
-
What pads you got on it??
-
Although you could get the rockmans and get a replacement try all superlight cage, which would only cost you £67.50 in the longrun
-
Yeah pretty quiet but stays interesting as I'm outside a quarry, with a single line as well and its all freight. Good on sundays as I can usually bring my bike in to fix or go out for a ride on when there's nowt about!

Old style can go from £30-£55 but couldn't comment on the ones with the newer lever.

Got halfway through reading all this last week but gave up as I was on my own in a signalbox in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. Still not much better reading it in broad daylight in a signalbox in the middle of nowhere!

I can't believe there was a t pro on the other day that I was watching out of interest, needed new hoses for the maggies and maybe some new tyres and tubes, went for £87!! And good lad with the punctuation fix, vote added for listening!
-
Oh yeah, then turn it over and do the other side, obviously.

I do it with my dad but if your not too sure just take it to your local bike shop who should be able to do it on the spot for you! I put a block of wood on the bench, rest the bottom of the headtube on there flat, place the top cup in and hold it in place with another block of wood and tap it in by hitting the wood so your spreading the force out over the whole thing. If you get what I mean?!

I've got a pair of belting 4" and 5" scars down the back of my calf from my foot slipping forward off some trialtech sport platforms. Will definately be going for some caged pedals next time to see how they compare and save a bit of weight!

You can usually pick up a hope mono trial from ebay or on here for anything from £30-£60 depending on condition.

This is quite true, watched it last night as there was nowt on the telly. No brains behind it whatsoever just pure action entertainment. Like any action film you've ever seen, on acid.

How Do You Remove The Axle Inserts On A King Bmx Hub?
isitafox replied to Luke Dunstan's topic in Trials Chat
Have you got a copy of this http://chrisking.com/files/pdfs/ClassicManual-1-08-A.pdf?? All I could find to help you! -
Not from my experience, weigh a tonne an the geometry of my mates one is awful!
-
Great video that mate, very well filmed and edited! Just a tip on your landings, try not to land quite as flat, get the back wheel down first and lower the front after to absorb the shock. Otherwise you'll either kill your wheels or your knees!
-
I'd advise you buy both from tartybikes so best thing to do is ask them what they recommend when you call. What size ring you got on the back?
-
Rab's got an 05 maggie with an echo lever blade for sale in his sale topic, that might be worth a try?!
-
I'm confused, if the question is would a new magura feel better than my current one I'd say hang on a couple of months and get one of the 2010 ones when they come out as this should feel better than your current one. Or try a bleed and/or different pads!
-
If its the one I've just found then I'd say £250 is a decent price to pay. Though you should really sort your grammar and punctuation out as I could only just understand what the hell you were on about!
-
A front disc tends to give you a bit more modulation which can help when your doing moves onto the front wheel whereas a maggie tends to be on or off. But a disc weighs more than a magura does and a magura is easier to adjust on the move so there's pro's and con's with each setup.
