  1. I'm the opposite, coming from stock to mod I found getting my python straight to rear and holding it is so much easier and I can do a lot higher on my mod though that could be down to the BB height of my stock!
  2. I too am intrigued by the hydraulic disc, and that seat tube is far too high!

Good stuff! Might have a bit of explaining to do when I try and watch it tomorrow night though Think spur of the moment buys at Tartybikes could lead to the end of my marriage!!

Needed some o rings for my cnc backings so thought I'd order this as well while I was at it. Just gotta catch that postman before the missus does now!
  5. TPA?? Have you tried some new pads? My Old hope suddenly went terrible and I tried everything I could to clean the pads but nothing worked so I got some new, cleaned the disc again before they were fitted and the problem was sorted!
  6. Yeah get it helicoiled. May be worth buying a helicoil kit off ebay as there's a good chance it'll happen again and they're only about £15 for the kit plus a few quid for a tap wrench!
  7. For free?? Will try and get some pics posted tomorrow anyway, and will get hold of some scales so I can weigh it at some point as well!
  8. Splash out on a try all lite rear tyre, that'll knock half a kilo off I'd have thought! And maybe go for a kenda 8 block on the front as well
  9. I just need to get the front wheel up for a few seconds, I can go straight to rear on my mod pretty easy on stuff upto about 3½' but if I attempt anything bigger than about 2' on my Control I usually end up burying the front wheel straight into it followed shortly by my face. Just doesn't wanna lift!
  10. Sorry to jump on this but I struggle lifting the front as well sometimes which is why I bought a system ex obscene high rise stem from tartybikes. Think the one I run is a 110 x 35 paired with some tensile 9d risers and I still find it hard to get the front up. Think my geo is 1085 377 72 +15, I'm 6'2" and can't manual for shit! Any ideas??
  11. Muel did once, as he gave me the mount he created as seen in the pics and guide here http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/wiki/How_To_Make_A_Disc_Mount_Adapter
  12. You ever caught this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unbeatable_Banzuke#Courses on Challenge TV or Channel One?? Bit of trials on there, some pretty sick competitors!
  13. Hannah my dear, if I could get that I would live in it and f**k the rented house off! Might consider this, gotta price up all the wood and stuff Did consider it but would like at least a small worktop to do odd jobs and stuff on when the weathers crap. Gotta run it all by the landlord first an he'll probably say no anyway!
  14. I mean so you don't have 20 different icons at the bottom for all the open windows, it just nicely groups things up for easy access. If you right click them you should be able to take them off the taskbar if you don't want the icons on when your not using the program.
  15. Definately, I wrote a letter in to MBUK years ago on that exact subject! Still got my mint sauce tee in the draw at home as well!!
  16. Like muel said it's so much easier if you've got multiple windows open, takes a bit of gettin used to but it's worth it once you do. Just keeps the taskbar empty and makes it easier to find what you want rather than going off a tiny bit of text.
  17. I keep seeing pics of peoples wheels with the sidewall drilled and wondered if it's worth doing. How much weight would you save on both a mod and a stock as both my bikes are pretty lardy and I'm looking at ways of shaving some grams off. Especially on my stock as I'm gonna get a tryall sticky rear tyre which is bloody heavy! Also, if it is worth doing the has anyone got any tips when doing it??
  18. Is this for a trials setup? Can't see pics as I'm online at work! If it is trials then I know onza did a trials specific mech??
  19. Bit OT but I remember years ago when my cousin used to work at a local bike shop, Mark Anthonys, and the owner Mr Anthony treated himself to a Ferrari. He advertised this blatantly in his ads in MBUK and the like saying if you bought a full bike from him you got a ride out in his motor with him. This was all well and good until about 2-3 months later when it went into the garage for some work and he got told it was a cut and shut and only good for scrapping!! Made even funnier cause the guy was c**t anyway!!!!
  20. Tartybikes used to sell a short cage onza rear mech but it looks like they've stopped selling them. Might be worth a phone to enquire if they can still get hold of them maybe??
  21. Get it made, then make a load more to sell on here!!
  22. Have you read the forum guidelines?? The 5 votes aren't so you can be a trials rider or go out riding, it's so the rest of us on the forum know your not a cock who's gonna spam all over the forum, give members loads of abuse or scam people out of money/parts in the for sale section then completely dissapear only to return under a different username. You can still share your passion for riding in the new members chat section and feel free to check out when group rides are happening and tag along, and when you've made some good posts which show your interest in the sport, give good advice or ask for good advice people will soon enough vote you into the full section. The forum isn't being discriminatory, just trying to keep the board free of adverts and general wankers (not aimed at yourself)! Hope this is what your were looking for?!
  23. Would be interesting to see, just a case of making sure it seals properly!
  24. Just a few allen keys and a sink/washbowl. Washbowl's probably a better idea as otherwise you get oil EVERYWHERE! Luckily I did mine at work so it didn't matter!
