  1. Trackstanding and general balance when travelling really slowly are really important as your balance is the thing you'll use the most. After that it's getting into backhopping and using that to progress to different skills like sidehops, if you can get hold of a copy of this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tricks-Stunts-Vol-1-DVD/dp/B000683VSO it'll help as it did me when I was starting up.
  2. Nice vid, although the kids play area looked like it was gonna fall to bits when you got on top of it!
  3. Very nice Frank, but how longs it gonna last??!!

    Confidence.

I'm the same, will give the visualising trick a go though. Big drops get me, usually can feel myself physically shaking when I'm looking over the edge of something or if I'm on a high wall. Think it's the deepseated fear of imminent pain taking over!
  5. Nah, did use the app originally but it was identical to the standard web interface so I sacked it off and just went straight on the net as was loads quicker.
  6. Couldn't on mine, unless you put the proper address in for it or went via the full site.
  7. Superb, bout 100 times better and you can now get on messenger! Good job!!!
  8. That rock was really steep, when most people were checking the section out a lot were concerned about how they were going to get off the bottom cause it was so steep!
  9. Could just be my eyes then, got an unbelievable amount of energy though the way he just doesn't stop going!
  10. Should have come across to Shipley at the weekend and had a go at the comp, that vid doesn't really do justice to the sections as you can't see how big the rocks really were or how steep the banking was in some of those shots!
  11. Hang on till next week and get a SL, well worth the wait as it will be the last freewheel you ever buy.
  12. At a guess I'd say round 6'2"-6'3"ish and easily the build of a 18-19 yr old. Absolutely just powers through sections like he's got all the energy and power in the world on tap, would love to see him move to 26" in the future!
  13. He is a big lad for a 14yr old, I was surprised when I saw him in person! Oh to be young and have energy again!
  14. Looking good there, isn't it weird how you know how to do stuff but you can't put that knowledge into practice after so long off!
  15. Got some space at my father in laws farm to build a course so thats my winter mission, already got some massive sleepers from work so will hopefully blag some of the old tyres lying around. Just need to find some pallets from somewhere now and get building!!
  16. Sorry to dig this thread back up but I'm in need of some new trainers for riding in, thinking of trying caged pedals soon and looking at getting some 6.0 air zoom's off ebay. Anyone wear 6.0's with caged pedals?? I currently have a pair of stan smiths and ride with trialtech platforms and the grip is awful on them, the sole is far too hard and the tread pattern doesn't really lend itself to pedals from what I can see, probably why my legs are f****d!
  17. Yep got my last few sets of pads from Steve within a few days, no problems whatsoever!
  18. If you make a stack whats the best way to hold them together or don't they need it? And you often see them with a piece of wood in the top, is that just screwed/nailed in or is it best to fill the hole in the middle with soil/gravel/etc first then put the wood on top??
  19. Quality app as it covers local radio as well, love it!
  20. I was dubious and thought I'd have a go at work one day when I had to strip my brake down and it worked a treat. definately recommend!!
  21. Don't think there's any dates set yet for next year but I assume they'll use all the same locations as this year so have a look on http://www.biketrialuk.co.uk/Events.htm. I'm going to aim for hopefully a full season of Tyke and national rounds next year depending on how they fall with my shifts, can't wait for it though I may do one set of events on mod and one on stock to see how I compare!
  22. Me too, was gonna enter the Tyketrial but my baby is due the day after so might be cutting it a bit too close. Was a bit wary of going to Shipley but got away with it, don't want to risk that again!!
  23. Very nice videos, especially enjoying the Hadouken track on the first! Will look forward to a proper video from you when you've finished playing around with the effects, they're looking good so far!
  24. I think I deserve a sponsor for promoting, ahem, 'veteran trials'???
