  1. I assume you mean the crossover that goes over the wheel?? You can cut it and reattach but the pipe may be too short then which may lead to it splitting if it's stretched too far, and as for pushing the barbed fitting on you'll need some blocks (http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10026&category_id=5) to clamp the hose in tight. I always find warming the hose in a little boiling water does enough to ease it in though you've gotta make sure you tap it in dead straight! I went through about 4 crossover pipes getting it right!
  2. Yeah thats right, or try and pick up a cheap rear disc brake as it may work cheaper than buying a brand new lever!
  3. Have you recently had new cranks and/or BB?? And are they taper or isis?
  4. Yep, was doing it on and off till bout 7.10 and I think I first logged on bout 6.10ish.
  5. I too am in the school of sweating like an animal within 2 mins of doing anything. I can't wear a coat no matter what the weather as I just end up pouring with sweat, I do wear gloves though the missus would prefer if I didn't as after a ride they're soaking wet and absolutely stink the house out, along with my shoes, helmet, etc.....
  6. Ah right, can never quite figure out how the head angle geo works! So with the Born you'd need a longer than normal stem with quite a bit of rise to counter the BB height??

    Films!?

Yeah I understand where your coming from there! As for decent kung fu films I assume you've worked your way through some Bruce Lee films??

    Films!?

Never said it was, just bits like where he's being chased through the streets or the big fight in the fight club and jumps from the upstairs room and stuff are very impressive for real stunts.

    Films!?

First one is definately worth a watch, kind of put Tony Jaa on the map as he did all his stunts and no wires or cgi anywhere which is pretty impressive when you see the kind of stuff that goes on!
  10. Would you say that the Born Ultimatum fits into this then as that's got a 70.5ยบ head angle and the wheelbase looks pretty good??
  11. Another very nice speedrace, though am I alone in thinking the mod frames look very bmx like, especially when run with black rims??!

    Films!?

Watched Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief yesterday and enjoyed it, was quite good for someone who's never heard of the books or anything. Quite sure Phatmike was one of the bad guys in it as well!!
  13. New baby imminent (was due last Monday) so it could swing either way for me, could get loads of opportunity to play or none whatsoever so I'm holding back from buying for a week or so.
  14. Thanks for the info Mike, would never have thought that an extra inch would make all that difference!
  15. Still getting server error, and where's the wiki gone??
  16. But they don't use the existing front tyre, it runs a 20 x 2.4 tyre. Just seems a bit odd as I'm sure the weight saved can't be that much, might send one of the Poyzers an email to ask.
  17. That's actually quite nice looking for a da bomb. Definitely one of the better ones I've seen, good stuff!
  18. Right I cant find a spec for that bike but going off more recent models I can possibly help you along a bit. The newer models have a screw on 24t sprocket on the front and a screw on 18t freewheel on the rear hub which is fixed. If yours is the same, then all you need to do is simply put the freewheel on the cranks and get a 12t screw on cog for the rear though I could be wrong as like I said I'm going off a more recent spec and couldn't be entirely sure without seeing your drivetrain.
  19. Lost some stackers now as swapped the bars for some TryAll 09 rage, will hopefully get a pic up tonight/tomorrow.
  20. What is your current setup, I assume you mean 24 front 18 rear but what cranks are you using and is it rear freewheel or freehub?
  21. This is possibly quite a bit random but I was just having a boredom browse of Tartybikes and the full build bikes and it struck me, what is the point of the Onza Rip? Why make a mod that takes a 20" wheel other than to be awkward. There probably is a very good reason for it but I can't figure out what it might be, surely it can't be to do with keeping it cheap as it means making a rear tyre and rim specifically for the job. Why not just make it a 19" rear, it could still just stick with V mounts as they can do the job just as well as maggies or a disc! I don't know why but it really seems to grate me, especially when you get new members coming on here asking what they should upgrade first only to be told to sell the bike they've probably only just bought, I know I'd have been gutted if I bought one only to find I'd have to sell it and start all over again. Thoughts??
