  1. New baby imminent (was due last Monday) so it could swing either way for me, could get loads of opportunity to play or none whatsoever so I'm holding back from buying for a week or so.
  2. Thanks for the info Mike, would never have thought that an extra inch would make all that difference!
  3. Still getting server error, and where's the wiki gone??
  4. But they don't use the existing front tyre, it runs a 20 x 2.4 tyre. Just seems a bit odd as I'm sure the weight saved can't be that much, might send one of the Poyzers an email to ask.
  5. That's actually quite nice looking for a da bomb. Definitely one of the better ones I've seen, good stuff!
  6. Right I cant find a spec for that bike but going off more recent models I can possibly help you along a bit. The newer models have a screw on 24t sprocket on the front and a screw on 18t freewheel on the rear hub which is fixed. If yours is the same, then all you need to do is simply put the freewheel on the cranks and get a 12t screw on cog for the rear though I could be wrong as like I said I'm going off a more recent spec and couldn't be entirely sure without seeing your drivetrain.
  7. Lost some stackers now as swapped the bars for some TryAll 09 rage, will hopefully get a pic up tonight/tomorrow.
  8. What is your current setup, I assume you mean 24 front 18 rear but what cranks are you using and is it rear freewheel or freehub?
  9. This is possibly quite a bit random but I was just having a boredom browse of Tartybikes and the full build bikes and it struck me, what is the point of the Onza Rip? Why make a mod that takes a 20" wheel other than to be awkward. There probably is a very good reason for it but I can't figure out what it might be, surely it can't be to do with keeping it cheap as it means making a rear tyre and rim specifically for the job. Why not just make it a 19" rear, it could still just stick with V mounts as they can do the job just as well as maggies or a disc! I don't know why but it really seems to grate me, especially when you get new members coming on here asking what they should upgrade first only to be told to sell the bike they've probably only just bought, I know I'd have been gutted if I bought one only to find I'd have to sell it and start all over again. Thoughts??
  10. Like the sounds of this as I'm only on the other side of Glossop so could be there in 20mins or so!
  11. I agree with Ben John Hynes, not keen on how the frame looks going to the head tube, think it suits the mod frame more than this. Other than that it's nice setup, and you've gotta love them First cheap headsets, got one on mine and it's awesome!!
  12. These, and new members asking if they should get x part or y, and when you say x they start arguing about why they reckon they'd be better of with y, why bother asking if you've already made your mind up?!

Rough idea on price?? Not sure if I'm keen on the look of the 26 yet but the 20 looks good!
  14. You wanna keep an eye on the events list here http://www.biketrialuk.co.uk/. Not much in the north west but if you don't mind the odd hours travelling there should be a good few events for you to join in, though the season is over now so you'll have to wait for next year!
  15. Couldn't pin down a single favourite but a few of my top tunes are Tiesto's Southern Sun remix, You've Lost That Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers and probably Have It All by Triple J as it always makes me smile! EDIT: Must never forget Born Slippy!
  16. I shall definately have to get down for a ride one day with you guys. Will see what happens when the baby arrives I guess!
  17. Thats ok with me, I've no problem whatsoever buying the cheaper one!
  18. Might look into picking up a Trialtech carbon booster then, gonna be putting a biggish order for bits in soon anyway so I'll chuck that in. Cheers!
  19. They're definately real Onza forks, I think Rocknroll are mainly Onza dealers when it comes to the trials side of things and tend to get 1 or 2 bits that Tartybikes don't so that might explain your concern. If you want to know any more about them why not send Mike Poyzer a PM and I'm sure he'll fill you in with what you want to know! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showuser=790
  20. Can you look into this SQ server error that appears every morning for a few hours?? It's a right pain as you have to keep going backwards and forwards with pages trying to load stuff up and it's annoying when you make a post only for the error to come up and all your writing to be lost!
  21. What mod are you getting??
  22. Don't bother with the smart guy forks, they weigh about 1kg and for £40 you'll get some good condition Echo Urbans off here when validated which are only about 800g so quite a substantial difference. As for the rear brake what pads are you currently running, and have you got a grind on the rear rim as it makes quite a difference in braking power i found!
