  1. Was funny with my boys as when the eldest moved off the balance bike he had the bars and set set as high as they could go, when his younger brother started on it (at the same age mind) the seat and bars stayed in the same position! After that they've both destroyed a hotrock that I swapped the coaster brake for a standard wheel on. Both those are no good for my daughter though so she's now learning on an Early Rider Trail Runner which I'm trying my hardest not to tart up with ti bolts and Hope gear!
  2. Nice, was the same with mine when I got it!
  3. Have to admit they're great bikes, that had 2 years abuse from my eldest first and now Trev has had it a year.
  4. Nah he had a ride up the road on it and there's quite a bit of clearance as the arm pulls forward with the chain tightening!
  5. Mission 7-9 speed accomplished! Might swap the mech for a medium cage and could do with a narrower BB to sort the chainline but it works and works well. I also put some low risers on along with a new stem. Really impressed with how my son instantly took to a thumb shifter from gripshift as well, funny now though as 1st gear before is now equal to 4th gear with the new cassette. No more hill assistance from me!
  6. Definitely either make a claim or make a complaint and do it sooner rather than later. They'll know which guard was on if you give the train and time and with any luck there'll have been cctv on either the train, platform or both to back you up.
  7. OBM has a how to in the beginners forum, sadly all the pics have now gone and for some reason I have always had to follow the instructions in reverse ie. right/left clockwise/counter-clockwise.
  8. My sons Frog Bike (20" wheeled hybrid thingy) has been in need of a new drivetrain for a while now but it came with a fixed hub and screw on 7 speed cassette freewheel. Had a search about and managed to get hold of a 28h freehub so he could have the old 9 speed Deore gears off his brothers Orbea and I just finished building the wheel up reusing the original rim and spokes! I was expecting to have to order spokes but it's all gone together perfectly, always nice when that happens as now he won't have to go without a bike for a few days!
  9. Unless they have a play with the software to allow a follow me feature like the Phantoms I don't think they'll take the top spot. Will probably be popular on release but I reckon people will still have the DJI drones as favourites.
  10. CBT booked for 7th Oct, hope it's dry weather!
  11. Rockhopper is partially built revealing the need for a few more bits, namely chainring bolts! Once I've got those I'm pretty sure it'll be rideable! (those aren't the bars and stem it's having, just there to hold the forks in place!) Will also need a new rear wheel at some point soon, Pro 2 spare anyone?
  12. I was wrong, still a couple of bits I need so bagged some RSP carbon bars and an Easton stem for £30 (bars are like new) and serviced a mates bike at work last night and he's picking me up a shock pump for payment. All that's left is some brake mounts, rear centre lock icetech rotor and possibly a dropper or sleeve to fit my cheapy RSP one.
  13. Yeah the official lunch break was a good idea. I just thought keeping the results hidden till the very end keeps the suspense up and might help some people who think they're not doing well to push themselves. EDIT: Just re-read what you put as I was rushing before. My idea isn't supposed to be a solution to the struggling numbers, just a suggestion to keep the day exciting for everyone.
  14. Keep the results hidden until everyone has finished, reveal the top three in each class and then display the results board?
  15. Replaced offside rear door lock in the Golf today, f**king horrific job. Two down, one to go
  16. If you need to resist the urge to sit just take the seat off your regular bike. Your back will suffer if you use a seatless bike for pedalling long distances.
  17. Just out of interest, why do you want a bike without a seat for commuting?
  18. Like Dave said get contacts, or prescription riding specs
  19. Here you go, couldn't find the disc with the first one but hopefully these will work?! Trials_Construction_Yard.7z TrialsMountainHeights.7z
  20. Will find the cd they're saved on tomorrow and see what I can do
  21. I've still got the original trials games from miniclip that came out about 15 years ago and I still prefer playing them to any of the modern ones.
  22. Could you make something similar with gaps? Could make the official TGS game!
  23. Just spunked £150 at Chainreaction for hopefully the last few bits to get my Rockhopper up and running. Won't be completely modern but should be capable (of gathering dust in the shed!)
