  1. Cheers, does the job for me. Tyres are wank though so the next job is new rubber and tubeless
  2. Yep, well worth the money in my eyes. Especially tax free!
  3. So, I ordered this in October's cyclescheme window and didn't get it until January. Only been out a few times on it and the only additions are a Brand X Ascend dropper and some DMR V6 pedals but I love it. 120mm travel is probably a bit low for you guys but it'll do me for round here, wouldn't want to spend much more considering how often I get out!
  4. Looking at selling my mk4 golf and going for something slightly bigger but not sure what to look for. Not got a huge budget (I reckon £2k tops) and my original idea was a van of some sort but need at least 5 seats for the family just in case. Basically I have a boot full of gym equipment (kettlebells, freestanding pull up bar, 3 sets of parallettes, etc....) and want room for all that and sticking my bike (trials and mountain) in. Current idea is Scooby Forester but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions?
  5. Jumped on my bike at the weekend and managed a ropey 3ft sidehop and a bike length gap Not bad considering it's (literally) been gathering dust for well over a year! Right, feeling like I need to scratch my moderator itch, anyone need banning?
  6. Cleaned off my 2012 Fourplay Pro and had a quick spin and realised that it's never gonna get used but since I've been out the scene for a while I don't know if anyone is still interested in these older, longer models? Is it worth selling? How much would it be worth? (pics in here but now has black seatpost and Inspired clamp )
  7. Also, I know you're more a spirits man but if you want frighteningly strong local beer then this just over the road from the Palace https://www.facebook.com/TheBuxtonTapHouse/. A few nice bars and places to eat in Bucko
  8. Don't know why I didn't get a notification about this! Loads of good potatography for you round here Mike, if you head to Hathersage for Stanage Edge rocks then Padley Gorge is a no brainer to walk down. Park at the top, walk down to Grindleford Station, biggest plate of chips, egg, beans, sausage, etc...... in the world ever then walk it off back up. Andrew Chai had some good shots on his bike there the other week! Brilliant dairy farm that makes and sells its own ice cream on way back out from Hathersage, usual Castleton, Mam Tor, Jacobs Ladder malarky... You'll be knackered at the end of your relaxed weekend!
  9. Well after passing my theory a few months back I've been on the lookout for a 125 trail bike for bodding about on locally and using for work just to get some experience before I do my direct access on (and for a bit of light trail fun) but nothing came up at the right price so I sacked the idea off. Was all set for going straight into my DA once the kids were back at school but then a Honda XR 125 appeared on Facebook on Sunday 15mins away, went to have a look last night and put a deposit on it. It's a 55 plate and only done 5000 miles, just needs a chain and sprocket and an MOT though it should sail through. Only paid £700 as well so could easily get it on the road and sell on for a profit!
  10. Not mine but I saw this oldskool bit of bike porn in Newborough Forest car park this morning

Yes, 2nd one not so much though

    Films!?

Opening diamond heist scene in Despicable Me 3 is f**king amazing!
  13. Me and the wife want a dog but have completely different ideas, she wants a border terrier but I hate wirey dogs. I'd prefer a patterjack or staffy cross jack russel but she's not having it. Seeing Josh's pics popping up occasionally doesn't help either! In other happy news however.......
  14. Weather is too shite to ride anyway. Good news is the replacement has just arrived so can hopefully have a ride tomorrow when it's dried up a bit
  15. Last parts for my unicycle came today so I brought it to work to build up only to find they'd sent me 2 right hand crank arms! Spoke to the shop who are posting me a left side out but knowing my luck it'll be a few days before that arrives!
  16. Been digging out the oldskool toys from my dad's garage!
  17. Just been clearing my Dad's garage out as he moved house and he's got a load of mini spares if anyone is interested? Will get a rough list of what's in there and post up some pics.
  18. Did my theory the other week and passed (just) so I can look at booking some direct access lessons now
  19. Taught 3 calisthenics classes now (been doing one a week) and it's getting more and more popular. Been teaching 12 people per class and today filled 14 spaces for next week, had to turn down 4 others who were interested! Helping my confidence massively, I'm usually useless at talking to anyone face to face but each week I've gotten better and seeing where I can work on stuff. Also got my unicycle on the build, 27.5 suitable for the road and some light trails. Should be fun!
  20. And that's exactly what I enjoy about the whole calisthenics thing and posting vids/pics for people! EDIT: Oh, and the big machine is just the lever frame of one of the signalbox's I work in
  21. Insta is isitafox_allcore
  22. Nah just on the side, main job pays too well to chuck it in plus I've still got loads of spare time on my hands to teach. My main aim is to just get more people interested and have a go!
  23. Taught my first calisthenics class tonight. Despite absolutely shitting myself beforehand everyone loved it and want more!
  24. Yeah there's quite a few in Blackpool, loads do ride the lights every year. Frame has just arrived today, I planned on having it painted but it's come and looks to only have been done recently. Blue with a gold speck, looks pimptastic!
