  1. Took ages to d/l but its a Porthcawl Trials Video and Ivor is top (N) Great vid, nice mix of all types of riding in there and mental moves all round! Gav's got so much back wheel control its not even funny, its like he could sleep standing up in a trackstand it just looks like hes meant to be there :) Nice vid as always though, hope to see more (N) Olly
  2. I've got that, my wrists were really bad, In the end they got very loose and cartilage and stuff had torn and made it all "fluffy" in the joint making it hurt any time I moved it. This was the case for a good few years while seeking treatment. I had to do both my GCSE's and A-Levels on computers because I couldn't write more than one paragraph due to the way writing caused my wrists to ache to the point on pain that meant I just couldn't push myself to do it. Where as typing was a different motion that allowed me to do it constantly for a much better amount of time at pretty much the same speed if not faster than what I can ever remeber writing. Anyway I had to have keyhole surgery in my writing wrist and it helped the pain alot, I cant write all that well but I can manage and stuff in everyday life, prefer not to do essays and stuff with it though, but it was definately worth sorting. Olly.
  3. I believe medium is the new long. TRA has now moved from an 1100 Cassio to a 1075 and loving it (which would feel medium-ish due to BB rise. I had a T-Pro which was medium WB I loved it for all things trials and street but wanted to improve my trials so got a longer bike, fact is you loose a lot more stuff moving to a longer bike than you gain I've found. I then wondered if a short bike would be better for things bought a BMX and its almost too short, Im getting used to it now but theres less to throw about and flick so big bunnyhops are not as easy. I say with a medium WB trials bike with great geo most people would feel right at home, great for trials, great for messing about and riding skateparks when your lonely and great fun with less stress on your muscles or back due to lenght and stuff (Y) Olly
  4. Someone send us the video or host it somewhere please (Y) Cheers Olly
  5. haha "If you see the picture, the first change you´ll see is the double high handlebar and the stem according to this new handlebar. In an elegant black colour, this conjunct improve the total height of the bike and now the riding position is more natural. The handlebar is very bulky and the stem is very lighted." Monty Risers anyone? Olly.

    Bmx Questions

Most likely one of about 3 reasons.. Yo need to lubricate your cables by spraying the apporpriot spray down your cables (in the inside) or you need to buy new outer cables because they may have pulled through and are making it feel nasty. Or you need to tighten your springs on the u-brakes by twisting the adjuster with a spanner. Just though I'd let you people know I went to Billy's in Cambridge to get some muc-off, ended up buying a Weldite alternative bike cleaning spray (Red £5.50) and also tried out some Soft Grey Gusset U-Brake pads, got home stuck them on and instantly the brake was really loud and stopped better :S They have yet to lockup really well probably havent bedded in yet but there showing good signs so far, and the best bit only £3.99!! :P Olly.
  8. Yea basically back in the day when there were less people, everyone used to post their bike pictures in a Bike Pics thread. Then people used to just comment and stuff after the pics, but as the forum grew the comments were filling up entire pages and so the bike pics thread consited mostly of peoples comments/arguments, for this reason the thread was closed/removed. Shortly after the "Gallery" arrived but people found it tricky to use or just plain didn't bother looking there like they used to with just the thread up there and so Tom and Danny, (and others Iguess) have been working out ways to restore a simpler thread but maintain the old style of just pictures in a thread. I think it works really well, just what we needed. :S Olly.

I went for a WeThePeople Thrillseeker a few days back, Im happy with mine :- I Chose it over the 4 Seasons because it has a proper front brake and front chrome rim which more suited my style, the colour turned out nice aswell. The hoffman bikes are meant to be very good this year, The one your looking at was reccomended by a few other people on the board if you've got the money (Y) Olly.

    Unicycling

It took me about a few days to get it properly, I can now 180, 360, pedal kick up, rolling up (alot harder to learn) Sidehop to crank, Crank to "back" wheel. One thing I didn't get was riding backwards for some reason, didn't try it too much though. You will probably want to change your tyre soon enuff, if you've got a mod use an old worn down 2.0 tyre, I used a monty and it worked a treat :- Cheap pedals will get smashed up but stick to plastic at first, and keep the cranks tight (Y) Olly.
  11. On the seat issue, I'm trying to find a high where its most useful for me, I had put it on at a height I thought was alrite, then on 180's I was hitting my leg so lowered it right down, then me wanting to try and learn barspins and stuff I needed something for my legs to grip to to hold the bike right and I've got rather Phil-Like legs so the seats at that height. With the front break and gyro, I can see where your coming from with the trials moves but I don't feel comfortable riding without a front break, hence why I bought the thrillseeker with front chrome rim and a proper u-brake up front. The brakes are both pretty pants but they need time to bed in I suppose.. We'll see probably end up with an evolver and plaz combo and probably rear only setup but for now I see no real reason to take it off and my trials moves were fairly BMX'y hence why I got one so hopefully my BMX moves wont be too trialsy :- Olly.
  12. Heres mine then: Album Here So far just your standard WTP Thrillseeker '05 AM Spec :S Olly.

  16. I'll reply michael you big looser you :P "Its very nice" :) I'm at the same stage as you, it is a world apart from riding trials my python feels so weird after riding my BMX I thought BMX would be eaiser than it is its so heavy! I've got 180's, just about 360's, X-up Manuals, and Feebles on Benches now after about 2 days :S I'll post a pic up in a minute dude :S I've you've got msn then add me aswell.
  17. Yea Im not moaning at you or anything dude :P BUT theres a hell load of people on these forums and you saying add ALL of the mod riders to msn you'd run out of contacts within minutes :P Just ask on the forum theres like thousands of people on here now much more than when you were last riding, I remeber you and your super small friend on the white refeer :P But when it boils down to it its personal choice on a stem theres only 2 real options on mod bikes long or short. Onzaboymark will swear by long (T-Master/Echo/Any standard mod stem really) and I'll go ahead and tell you to get short (ZOO!/Monty) we both ride the same styles and have had pretty simular setups but I prefer bigger rise bars in Monty and he prefers lower rise and wider with Onza Carbons. How do you choose? :S Anyways your just getting back into it again, go by the if it isn't broke dont fix it and save up money to get things you feel like you'd prefer later. The T-Pros a pretty sweet spec anyways :S Olly.
  18. Your going to regret that these days (Y)" Have fun fending them off :S Olly.

    Bmx Questions

What kind of gear ratios do you trials and BMX'ers run? I've got a somewhat standard 36:13 ratio thats meant to be good, but It really seems so hard to pedal, mainly I'll never need to go fast as I can pedal with this setup and yet when I 180 and land fakie the gear ratio is so hard its impossible to swing around! Now I know your not meant to run say 18:12 like on my mod, so is somewhere in between acceptable for BMX? Say 26/27:13? Also is it a good idea (if I change sproket) to go for one with a little grind, bash ring bit on? if so what reccomendations you guys got? Lastly Plaz pads? What shops currently have them in stock? and what household substitutes for mucoff may work :( Cheers Olly.
  20. Check the angry thread " So called garanteed 24-hour delivery appears to be not so garanteed.. ;)
