  1. Wow there are a few more pallets outside the anglia square loading bay than last time I rode there crazyness. Where abouts is the location in the bottom right (on original post) photo? I need to ride Norwich again soon
  2. ha Danny is a legend. I used to work as a KP for him about 6 years ago and so did my other riding mate back then. Used to give him a little demo after our shifts, hopping around outside the kitchen. What time are you lot coming down then? You going to go by train?
  3. Cant really think right now but of all the bands I've seen live I'd have to put Orson up on a pedestal of hate. I didnt pay to see them by the way they happened to be at a festival and were playing before Bloc Party who I wanted to see. They had one or two top ten hits (which were bloody annoying I might add) which they did, and then clogged the rest of the set up with mind numbingly dull filler material from their "album". The lead singer was more concerned with tweaking his ridiculous flat cap type thing and twiddling with his shades than actually singing, which probably explained why he sounded like a bag of cats being swung round. Oh no it doesnt- its cos they are utter SHITE.
  4. Going off topic even more but just wanted to say that its anything but fast track for 99% of skilled workers looking to immigrate from the UK to Canada. I've researched into it quite a bit and if you apply via the skilled worker route the average waiting time to get all the appropriate visas/ clearence is something like 3 - 4 years and growing. This applys even if you have qualifications/ experience in an area that they have a particular demand for- there is just a huge backlog.
  5. Would that have been set as a compulsory question then or could you have chosen your own? I take it the 35,000 words is for your masters dissertation? surely no one could write 35,000 words on motorway rainwater run off! One of my lecturers did his PHD thesis on industrial bolts. He's a fun guy
  6. I'm suprised if the whole system won't implode soon anyway. The number of graduates has shot up over the last few years yet the supply of well paid jobs in the UK is no where near as high. There are going to be so many loans that will never get paid off.
  7. I never really took much notice of the difference in types of degrees (BA, BS, hons etc etc ) as I always knew what I wanted to do so never looked at anything else- so can't give you a descent answer I'm afraid. But I'm doing Business Management with Marketing though and as far as I'm aware any similar degees have some kind of final year project that involves a hench piece of work with lots of writing. the aim of my dissertation is "To what extent do Lager brands need to adapt their Marketing Communications techniques and strategy in response to changing consumption and demographic patterns." dont have a title yet though. And Ads thats absolutely nuts doing it in 48 hours I'd have some kind of nervous breakdown by the second day lol. What drugs were you taking to keep you going that long!
  8. Three weeks today and my 10,000 word dissertation has to be handed in Needless to say I had the last laugh the next few weeks are going to be pretty busy! Are there many other final year students on the forum in the same situation? when's your deadline and how are you getting on? I'm already up to 6,000 words some how but I've gone a bit overboard and I've got loads more to cover more importantly what are your plans once you've handed it in! 4.00pm deadline. So 4.05pm and I'll be getting the drinks in. Cant wait.
  9. everybody seems to be bloody quick learners Hopefuly someone will cheer me up by saying it took them 80 hours and 6 goes to pass . Just joshing. I was told that the average these days is 40 - 50! Probably bull shit so I have to take more lessons though. My test is on 16th May by which time I will have had around 40 hours on the road (not practiced in a mates or parents car).
  10. Yeah I'm in Cromer now. Cant ride at the weekend though as I'm seeing my gf/ doing my dissertation depending on how much progress I make. I havent bought any new bike parts for about 3 years so dont have any spares lieing around unfortunately! Good luck with the coursework
  11. sounds good to me in the mean time i better get cracking with the dissertation. By wed in the holidays I presume you mean next Wed, not in two days time?
  12. any dates in mind yet? Having got home and walked around town a bit it reminds me there is quite a few things to ride. The boating lake is still empty which is good but maybe for not much longer.
  13. ha brilliant! Was a very freaky programme watching it at that age! The episode where the bullys got hold of the magic remote control that could fast foward/ pause etc time. And the cabbage patch children that did actually grow from cabbage patches- that scared the crap out of me and who could forget the birdman competition off the end of the pier.
  14. no, but having read the topic title "Have you ever?" I really was hoping that when I clicked it open I'd find that you'd continued by writing.... "ever felt like this. When strange things happen are you going round the twist?" Sorry obscure reference there, but thats what popped into my head Anybody remember that show ? But then that would be an incredibly pointless topic. unlike this one of course.
  15. bump. This still going ahead? any more interest?
  16. 1. Either depending on mood (is that ok? if not then street I guess) 2. No 5. I get all my news, info, photos etc on the Internet. 6. How to’s (Maintenance) 6 How to’s (Riding) 3 Reviews on products 1 Interviews with riders 2 Rider’s letters 7 Competition Results 4 News on shops and their riders 5
  17. is this the original frame Hawyes/ Giant released? (when they did an initial batch of 500) What frame number is it?
  18. try and kick the habit if possible because its quite annoying to read. But welcome to TF
  19. nice one. Good to hear some news from the Essex Trials- must be first time I've read anything about one of their comps in about four years
  20. Saw 3 - Ridiculous, over the top, plot- what plot?, Infuriating! The only good thing I can say is that it was fairly watchable- if only to pick holes in the plot/ shout at the annoying characters 4/10 "this will relieve your headaches" <Drills into skull>.... Riiiight course it will and the tit who was playing the game. Make a bloody decision and quick! either save them or let them die a painful death. Dont um and ah for 5 mins, change your mind 4 times, then put in a half arsed attempt at saving them by which time they are too mangled to be worth saving anyway ididot.
